Yesterday, I had the most remarkable, colourful, crystal-clear gift that comes with being fully present to the Now. I went to Sunday service at my Unity church and had the most joyful experience ever. I heard the choir sing in the most beautiful harmony. I heard the words of the songs as though for the first time. I heard the intention behind the words. I felt the minister's teachings go straight to my heart. I saw the reader go to the podium to read and saw the most radiant smile beam from her face and on her feet were the most outrageous, fabulous, sparkling, bright red high heels ever. I saw a tiny, elderly woman with a bright blue butterfly pin in her silver hair. She was the most beautiful woman in the whole room. I saw 2 beautiful couples in front of me, gay couples, one male and one female, and I rejoiced in feeling such love for them and from them. I heard a middle-aged couple, she with such deep love in her eyes for him as they touched tenderly, share with me their heart-wrenching story of his fatal cancer diagnosis. Sometimes these moments are gifts of pure Joy to us if we are only aware. May you be aware of the Joy around you too.
