Rediscovering the benefits of keeping a Gratitude Journal was one of my entries in my Journal two days ago when I again began a new Gratitude Journal.
I had been keeping a Gratitude Journal for quite a few months and really enjoyed the process because it showed me in black and white so many things in my life that I could be grateful for.
Coming home from a trip last fall, I injured my right wrist by yanking my suitcase from the turntable. There was a lot of pain and I wasn't able to write or use my hand. So . . . I stopped making my daily entries. At the same time, I had almost run out of pages in the book I was using. Two good 'excuses' not to continue.
Habits broken are often forgotten. It occurred to me several times that I should start another Journal but I never took myself up on those inner promptings.
Then last week several things happened that brought gratitude tears and I again began my postings. I am so happy that I started again. It changes and uplifts my consciousness and creates a lovely curtain against which I create my day.
Gratitude tears for Gratitude Journaling, Rijuta Tooker
Did you already lose your list of Resolutions for 2009? I couldn't find mine this morning and so I quickly made a new short list.
As soon as I finished writing, I went to my computer table and there it was - my original list. It was one of those OMG moments. At first I was chastising myself for not thinking of my 'resolutions' for a couple of days.
But realizing that a person attracts what they think about and feel, I changed my awareness to one of gratitude. Gratitude for picking up my pen and writing down some new mini goals.
Isn't that what resolutions are? Mini goals. Small baby steps to get to that huge goal you have been envisioning?
As BraveHeart Women, we too must be ready to 'Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off' and go forward with our inspirations, passions, and purpose.
Don't be afraid to make a new list of goals/resolutions every now and then. You may find new creativity, new inspiration and new dedication.
Forward ladies, forward - on to your personal victory and empowerment.
Never giving up, Your BraveHeart sister in oneness, Rijuta Tooker
My gratitude is boundless for having the opportunity to be associated with such an extraordinary group of creative BraveHeart Women!
However, we can always add a little more fun and creativity to our day, as well as to the day of those we touch as we move through our lives.
Here are 7 things we can do in order to have a more interesting, fun and creative day - just for today:
l. Wear something you haven't worn in one month. 2.Use the opposite of your dominant hand. 3. Leave the word "fine" out of your vocabulary. 4. Speak with your favorite accent - to others and to yourself. 5. Sit in a different seat at your kitchen table. 6. Wear two unmatching (socks) and see if anyone notices. 7. Dance, skip, hop, jump or ? to get where you want to go.
Besides having a little fun, we are trying to break the patterns of our long-term habits and ways of thinking, being and doing. The more we practice this, the more easily we can begin to live 'outside of the box' and create the quality of life we desire.
Would love to hear more simple and fun ideas from my BraveHeart friends!
Hi BraveHearts! Arrived at the airport yesterday morning in New York at 6am for my flight to Durango, Colorado, for Dr. Sugar's Women's Retreat. I was expecting to be picked up by a car service in Durango to be taken to my hotel - nothing more, as I was arriving a day early.
The aircraft I was to fly on had problems, was delayed two hours so I had to phone Lisa, Dr. Sugar's Assistant, and ask her to call the car service to pick me up two hours later.
Lisa said, "It's not a problem. I am the one who will pick you up." Lisa selflessly drove over 30 miles from her home in New Mexico to pick me up at the airport in Colorado and take me to the hotel, leaving only after making sure I was settled. In order to accommodate me, Lisa's whole afternoon was 'booked' because of the flight delay.
While we were driving, Lisa connected me to Dr. Sugar on the phone. Dr. Sugar welcomed me warmly to her Retreat - even though she was still doing her rounds at the hospital!
Now this kind of service is unheard of, especially in the New York area, where people are always in a hurry and generally do only the needful, seldom more.
So yes, I am singing the praises of two of our BraveHeart sisters - Lisa and Dr. Sugar. This is what our world is moving toward - total self-giving and oneness with all.
Lisa and Dr. Sugar, please feel my heartfelt gratitude! Love the way you are both manifesting your beautiful soul power!
Synchronicities, or meaningful coincidences, occur quite often in everyone's life. If we are not looking for them, we may not see them or be aware of them.
In my view, it may help to be aware of them because so often there is a reason why the synchronicity occurred in the first place. My experience on my way home from Colorado to New York last Monday is just such an example.
My original flight was to depart Durango, Colorado, at 10:15am. I arrived at the airport very early because I was able to get a ride with someone who had an early departure.
Fortunately, I was able to go standby on the earlier flight so I boarded very happily. If I could be as lucky on the flight from Denver to New York, then I would be home a couple of hours early!
Once comfortably seated, I heard the captain's voice. Because of ice on the runway, the plane was 320 pounds too heavy and three people would have to get off. Two others got off before me (a stewardess and someone else with the airlines). I also had to get off because I was flying standby.
Just as I arrived at the front of the plane, the stewardess said, 'OK, you can stay!' (apparently I was meant to be on the plane!)
I sat in the extreme back seat next to a girl. It turned out that she missed her earlier flight and had to go on the flight I was on. Here were two people whose paths had crossed due to unique circumstances. We were both grateful for the meet-up!
The girl and I began to talk and found that we had mutual interests and would be able to contribute to each other in several ways. Long story made short, her boyfriend can use my coaching services and she is interested to be certified as a coach herself. She was also very interested in Dr. Sugar's Retreat for Couples.
Synchronicities are fun, interesting and helpful. A quick example: My friend brought a car to me to see if I was interested in buying it. I liked the car very much and told him I would let him know the following day. That evening as I sat down to dinner and was looking out my window, I saw a skywriter plane fly by writing the words, "BUY BUICK".
Needless to say, the car my friend brought was a Buick. I called him immediately and told him I would buy it.
Do you have any synchronicities that are remarkable or interesting? I would love to hear about them!
Enjoy a synchronistic day! Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power!
Have you heard that we have entered a time within which will dawn a global community?
Apparently it will take some time. But the exciting part is that we - that's right, you and I - will have an opportunity to be at the forefront of the change through our BraveHeart Women's Global Community!
How? - By taking inner and outer action with a sense of joy and service; - By letting go of our puny ego and our big fear; - By empowering ourselves with our heart, our love and our truth; - By moving away from all forms of darkness and moving toward all forms of light; - And by feeling a sense of gratitude, oneness and our own soul-power!
It is time to be courageous, to walk our talk and not to let our dreams fade.
Let us remember to live as if our Global Community has already dawned, as if love is more predominant than fear, as if abundance for all is the law of the land. We can do it - one day at a time!
What action have you taken today? Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power!
WOW! Can you imagine? I am going to have one month's mortgage paid for by BraveHeart!!!!!!!
Ellie just called to tell me that I won and she did it in such a cute way!
We were talking and I told her that I had just come back from a beautiful sunshiny walk in the park. I was actually thinking about the contest and said to myself, 'Even though I know I won't win, my friends have sent me notes that they enjoyed the interview with Maya Angelou.'
Then Ellie said, "Go to your computer and click on 'Blogs'. I clicked on 'Blogs'.
She said, 'Now look for the blog from the BraveHeart Team'. I found it.
Ellie said, 'Click on it'. I clicked
I screamed and was so excited to actually win the prize to have my mortgage payment made! Ellie and Charlie are the 'REAL DEAL!" I am so grateful!
Thank you Ellie and Charlie! You are so much fun and your integrity is outstanding! You are beloved by many!
Go for it BraveHeart friends. Enter all of the contests BraveHeart offers. You might just WIN!!!
Now to think of a way to celebrate!
With loving gratitude, Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power!
I found this cute little Money Angel in an e-mail from one of my friends. She couldn't resist sending it and neither can I.
What can we do with a Money Angel? We can keep her with us as a reminder that we have many angels around us at all times to help us live in abundance.
Whenever you notice any kind of abundance in your life, you can simply touch your thumb (a favorite resting place for Money Angels), and say 'Thank you for the abundance in my life!'
Suppose you see a shiny penny on the sidewalk as you get out of your car (a sign of abundance in your life!) As you pick it up, you touch your thumb and say, 'Thank you for the abundance in my life!'
This will help fill your Gratitude Treasure Chest for the day. How many Money Angels do you keep with you?

Masaru Emoto proved through his photos that water that had been exposed to concentrated positive thoughts or words and then frozen, resulted in beautiful and well-formed crystals. Many were colorful and had complex snowflake patterns (see the photos on Hedy's blog: 'Water and the Luxury of Negative Thought.')
On the other hand, water that had been exposed to concentrated negative thoughts or words and then frozen, produced patterns that were malformed, fragmented and that barely made a crystal.
The most beautiful crystals were formed after being exposed to two special words: 'LOVE' and 'GRATITUDE'. This comes as no surprise! We know the power of these two words.
It helps to be mindful of what kind of thought and word seeds we are planting. At times during our day we plant STRESS seeds, or FEAR seeds, or WORRY seeds or any number of other 'negative' seeds.
Yet at other times during our day we plant HAPPINESS seeds, or PEACE seeds, or the king and queen of seeds: LOVE and GRATITUDE.
How will your garden grow? How much of your 'field' will be positive? How much of your 'field' will be negative? Which one outweighs the other - and by how much?
Planting Positive seeds, is Planting Protection seeds - protection from negativities and other hostile forces. Be mindful of what you plant in your garden! Do you want to harvest the sparsity of dead weeds or the blossoming of flowers and fruits; no crystal at all or a beautiful and colorful snowflake crystal?
Cheers for your Beautiful Garden!!! Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power! Soul-Power Community
"Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley." Theodore Roethke.
How often do we begin walking along a very attractive path, come to a fork and do not know which direction to take, so we return back the way we came?
We do not always see or know the exact way to go on our life's path, but the Universe will give us clues. How do we recognize the signals given to us? We keep our consciousness open and aware, grateful for the next best step and stay with our enthusiasm and eagerness. Never giving up, we follow our own individual and unique path.
What if we take the wrong turn? Great! We have learned something from the experience and know we must take a different direction. At least we keep moving and do not become paralyzed in immobility.
Once in a while, as our path seemingly ends, we must make our own path. Courage, persistance and gratitude help to forge ahead.
My favorite path is the one that is interesting and colorful, that has a unique beauty and that leads me to stopping points that are nourishing, illumining and fulfilling.
What does your path look like? Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power! Soul-Power Community
Experiencing an emotion that is painful and does not feel good is motivation enough to learn to create a 'better feeling' emotion.
How do we do that?
- Allow yourself to feel your emotion. - Name the emotion that you are experiencing. Accept responsibility for your emotion. - Let go of your 'story' (who or what caused the emotion) but keep the emotion for now. - Accept your emotion without judgement or resistance (what we resist persists). - Ask, "What can I learn from this emotion?" "What belief about myself allowed me to experience this emotion?" - Replace your belief that caused the painful emotion ("He/she hates me!") with a 'better feeling' belief ("He/she is exhausted from working two jobs so I know it is not all about me." )
Not easy, but the process works! Whenever an emotion appears that does not feel good, we can transform that painful emotion and belief into something that feels much better!
Earl Nightingale is famous for telling the story of 'Acres of Diamonds'. He tells of a farmer who got so excited about finding diamonds that he sold his land to go out and search for diamond mines. He searched everywhere for a diamond mine yet found nothing.
The story goes that the person who bought this farmer's land found that he actually had on his land one of the largest diamond mines ever discovered. The farmer who sold his land had been literally standing on acres of diamonds.
Diamonds in the rough look like pieces of black coal and because he didn't recognize what a 'raw' diamond looked like, he missed out on the treasure he already had.
How are we like that farmer of long ago and what is our lesson? Instead of developing the possibilities that we have within reach in our current situation, we are constantly searching elsewhere for life's treasures, feeling that the grass is greener on the other side.
What treasures do you have in your life that you have overlooked and failed to appreciate? Look around you carefully with the intention of finding at least one 'diamond' today.
What does that diamond look like? A piece of coal? A child's smile? A Grandpa's whiskers? A dusty old jar? Look carefully! I am sure you will find something in your 'acres of diamonds'!
My 'diamond' for the day: today I e-mailed one of my cousins I hadn't been in touch with for months. She is sending three quilts to me that she feels I would like to have. They are hand made by our Grandmother. A very nice and memorable diamond to find!
Rhonda Byrne of The Secret, offers the following message:
"Every good thought, every good word, every good emotion, and every act of kindness, is lifting the vibration of your being to new heights. And as you begin to raise your vibration, a new life and a new world will reveal itself to you.
There is no limit to how high you can increase your vibration, because there is no limit to the good thoughts you can think, or the good words you can speak, or the acts of kindness that you can do.
Other than transforming your own life through lifting your vibration, you lift others' lives too. The positive vibration of your energy emanates out like a stone thrown into water, touching our planet and every living thing on it. As you rise higher, you take the world with you.
The Secret Team has created a gift for you. This clip features our beautiful Planet Earth. As you experience this clip you will emit positive forces of energy across Planet Earth that will reach every single living thing on it. You will lift yourself, and as you lift yourself, you lift the entire world. From The Secret to you, here is Planet Earth - our home."
Enjoy!

We only have 7 days to prepare for one of the most heartfelt and special days of the year - MOTHERS DAY! Why so special?
Every one of us has a mother, whether she is still here with us or has passed on to 'the other side'. Your mother accepted the role of bringing your soul into this lifetime. For that alone, she deserves gratitude and honour in your heart-space.
How do you plan to show your gratitude to your Mom? How do you plan to honour her for the awesome role she undertook? Being a mother is one of the most responsible roles a woman can assume. Much of the future of humanity lies in the hands and hearts of our MOTHERS, all over the world.
Mothers everywhere are deeply connected to each one of us. Can we not show our gratitude and honour them next Sunday, even as we show gratitude and honour to our own Mother?
My intention of how I spend May 10th is to honour and offer gratitude to all mothers - as well as to my own Mom who is 'on the other side'! Much love to all MOTHERS! Rijuta Tooker Soul-Power Community
President Obama said of his mother, "She was the beating heart of the family." To continue in celebration of Mothers Day, this video reveals striking qualities of the mother of the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.
President Obama remembers his mothers "joy, her capacity for wonder; she was the kindest, most generous spirit I have ever known and what is best in me, I owe to her.
"What I want is a family that transmits the values that I inherited . . .: hard work, honesty, self-reliance, a sense of empathy, respect for others, kindness, faith."
A mother, now made famous, by the election of her son, reveals some of the 'stuff' that makes for good men.
