Hi Ladies, I want to share with you one of my favorite juice recipes! It's fabulous, delicious and nutritious all in one! Remember, juicing should be simple! Greens: buy, wash, dry and put in large baggies for about 5 days (kale, parsley, spinach, swiss chard, celery, green pepper, cucumbers)
Inn'er Power Punch! apples, kale, parsley, celery, cucumbers, lemon spinach, a little ginger and garlic!
Don't fret about how much or if your missing an ingredient. Just put a hand full of everything in the juicer and adjust to your taste. You will get the hang of it in no time!
If you like it sweeter add more apples, if you like it tangier add more lemon, and if want to have more power and zip than add more ginger!
Good Morning Ladies, I want to share with you a mouthwatering recipe that I juice in the morning that really gets my day going! It's called Inn'er Power Morning Madness!
Carrots, tangerines or oranges, red pepper and a little ginger(that's the madness!). I always have a bag in the refrigerator all ready to go in the morning with the fruit pealed. Little cuties are simple to use because they so easy to peel. This recipe gives me so much energy and Inn'er Power, I feel I can take on the world!
Ladies,
I had a lot of fun telling you about my Inn'er Power Find and Fit 60! I have really enjoyed joining a computer social networking site like Facebook, but I really wasn't paying attention on much time I was spending there. Sometimes I would intend to only go on just to check something and then I would find myself there for the next 90 minutes. Ok know, I still got work to do!
The other night I was sitting on the couch, laptop on lap and was chatting on FB. My son grabbed his blanket, cozied up right next to me, got out his laptop and we both were Facebooking together at the same time.
Ok, I came to the conclusion that this wasn't going to work for me. So I decided to set some limits for myself, 60 minutes a week only!! Guess what, it's working out great. Now I even look forward to my 60 minutes like I look forward to getting cards on my birthday!
Another thing I wanted to mention is while I am on my weekend catch up calls, I usually have them on speaker while I am sweeping, folding clothes or putting clothes away! I enjoy spending time with my family and feel more empowered when I find extra time to nourish and cultivate them!
I look forward to telling you about my Inn'er Power Find and Fit 10.

Hi Ladies, To nourish myself I love to hit the gym, but there are times is my life that I just can't get there or I have to take time off. Getting back to it is the hardest for me. I usually start a routine out at home then when I am back into the swing of it I go back to the gym.
Here is a simple approach that gets me going at home or at the gym. 15-30 minutes of cardio to start Monday - Back, Biceps, Core Wednesday - Shoulders, Core Friday - Legs, Core Sat. or Sun.- Chest and Triceps, Core I do this for about 4 weeks and then I mix it up! Your body likes a challenge and a new routine!
New Month Routine 15-30 minutes of cardio to start M, W, F Legs, Shoulders & Core (1 - 3 Week) M, W, F Back, Biceps, Tricipes & Core (2 - 4 Week)
Every 30 days or so, I throw in something new like pilates or yoga for a month. Then I go back and start it over again with new excercises I find on the Internet. Here is to your Inn'er Power! Tari Bussard
Hi Braveheart Sisters, I was reading an article the other day about bad office posture and how it (literally) is a pain in the neck. In a recent small study of Danish female office workers with chronic discomfort, it was reported that 79 percent had a reduction in neck and shoulder pain after 10 weeks of weightlifting.
Simple Approach Shoulder Shrugs: Stand with legs shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent. Hold dumbbells with your hands at your sides, palms facing your body, arms fully extended. In a continuous motion, lift your shoulders toward your ears and lower them slowly. Do three sets of three , three times a week,15- to 20- pound weights to start off.
Upright Row Stand straight with your hands comfortably apart, holding weights in an overhand grip. Keep your elbows up as you lift the weights in a straight line toward (but not past) mid-chest, then straighten your arms as you lower them. Do three sets of three, three times a week, with 5- to 10-pound weights to start.
Bend and Row Start with your legs together and step your right leg back a foot. Bend at your waist and place your right hand on a chair. Holding weight in your free hand, pull the weight up to a rib cage and lower it slowly. Switch sides. Do three sets of three, three times a week, using a 13-to 22-pound weight to start.
Back in my corporate days I used to talk on the phone held between my shoulder and neck while I worked on a computer. No wonder I carry most of my stress in my upper shoulders and neck and have neck issues. Wow, I tried this and in just one week, my neck is feeling much better! I would love to know if this simple approach works for you!
Cheers to your Inn'er Power! Tari Bussard Empowerment 101
Hi Braveheart Sisters, The other day my friend called and said he could use a helping hand at a cattle branding. It's a lot of dirty, hard work. Many people come from all over the area to assist with these. Sometimes we might do four brandings (or 4 ranches) in a month. If one ranch did there own branding without help it could take weeks to get all the calfs taken care of.
It takes team work, skill, focused attention, and a willingness to just say yes and show up week after week until the job is done!
I am sure you have heard the term "Pay it Forward".
Sometimes the world can seem like an unfriendly, cold and threatening place, yet we all want health and happiness for ourselves and our loved ones. How can one ordinary person make a positive difference in this world? One way is the practice "paying it forward." While the steps might be simple, the outcome could change the world.
Simple Approach to "Pay it Forward". 1. Be attentive wherever you are for opportunities to help someone. You can change people's attitudes about the world thru your acts of kindness.
2. Do something nice for someone you know (or don't know very well).
3. Spread the word. If the person thanks you and wants to "repay" you(pay it back), let them know that what you'd really like is for them to pay it "forward" -- you'd like them to do something nice for three people they don't know, and ask those three people to do something nice for three more people.
4. Pay it forward. When you notice that somebody has done something nice for you, make a note in your mind to practice three acts of kindness towards other people.
The "pay it forward" principal will make you aware to unexpected kindness from strangers to you, and you just might find yourself becoming more grateful for everyday kindness and consideration from people you don't even know.
"Paying it forward" brings me Inn'er Power! Tari Bussard
I love to cook, but more that I love to eat! I love to eat really nourishing tasty food! If your are like me in the kitchen, then you are always trying to find something delicious, fast and simple to make.
My SIMPLE APPROACH is finding recipes that I can double and are great for left overs. Which means, they don't fall apart or get soggy. I serve it one night for dinner, then I add to the kids' lunch and I have it for lunch for a couple of days. This saves me a lot of time preparing more meals during the week.
I love eating foods from my vegetable and my herb garden. I wanted to share a recipe that uses Arugula that I sometimes plant in my herb garden, and I always put in my vegetable garden.
It is SIMPLE, delicious and fast. It's great by itself or as a side. It can be made ahead of time or be served warm on the spot. This dish is great for potlucks and picnics. The only bad thing is that is is so good that I tend to overindulge!
This SIMPLE recipe is called:
Pasta with Arugula and Shaved Parmesan
Arugula is awesome in the garden too! It has a tendency to take off! I can pick on it daily for salads.
21/4 cups chopped plum tomato 1/4 cup chopped pitted kalamata olives 11/2 T. evoo (extra virgin olive oil) 1/4 t. dried crushed red pepper 1/4 t. salt 2 garlic cloves minced 4 cups hot fusilli pasta 8 oz. cooked ( I prefer the Barilla multigrain) 3 cups torn trimmed arugula 2 oz. shaved fresh Parmesan cheese
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl. Add pasta and arugula, toss gently. Place 2 cups pasta mixture in each of 4 bowls, and sprinkle with cheese. Makes 4 servings.
How Simple is that?
P.S. Barilla multigrain pasta has 17 grams of protein, 360 mg of Omega 3 and 7 grams of fiber! You won't find that in white pasta!

Well I have a simple recipe for you called: [ b] Pasta with Arugula and Shaved Parmesan
Arugula is awesome in the garden. It has a tendency to take off! It has a nice peppery flavor!
21/4 cups chopped plum tomato 1/4 cup chopped pitted kalamata olives 11/2 T. evoo (extra virgin olive oil) 1/4 t. dried crushed red pepper 1/4 t. salt 2 garlic cloves minced 4 cups hot fusilli pasta 8 oz. cooked (I prefer the Barilla multigrain) 3 cups torn trimmed arugula 2 oz. shaved fresh Parmesan cheese

Are you ready to be nourished today? I have another fabulous recipe for you! It's called Rigatone Caprese!
6 cups rigatoni, penne or ziti (12 oz) dry. Again I like the Barilla multigrain! 4 cups plum tomatoes 2 1/2 lbs. 1 1/2 cups basil thinly sliced 1 cup diced mozzarrella 2 T. evoo (extra virgin olive oil) 1 T. Capers (I put more) 1 clove garlic (I put more) 1 t. salt 1/2 t. pepper
1/3 c. parmesan or romano cheese
Combine 1st 4 ingredients in large bowl. Combine oil & next 4 ingredients in small bowl. Stir well with a whisk. Pour over pasta! Sprinkle with parmesan! Oh la la!!!! Yummy for the tummy!
You can serve this one warm or chill and take it for a potluck, picnic or for lunch for a few days!
Decorating a room from the floor up is the way to go when you are re-modeling a room. But sometimes a room just needs to be nourishedand cultivated to! Paint is very in-expensive and it can give the room a face-lift with a new color and refreshed woodwork. Being able to handle this project on my own brings me Inn'er Power!
My simple approach to painting is to use the mini-rollers with an extended rod and angle brushes. The mini-rollers are super simple, light and they don't soak up a lot of paint. You can even put an extension rod into the end and never have to get on a ladder except for cutting in. I fell off a ladder one time and I never want that to happen again. I have found the angle brushes to be the absolute best in cutting in and have eliminated the need for painters tape. That is a huge time savings! Don't buy the cheap angle brushes! You get what you pay for here!
Tip #1 To make your paint go farther, add water. I put on a good first coat and add water to the gallon. Add as you go, you don't want it to thin. Paint tends to get a little sticky as its exposed to the air.
Tip #2 If you run out of time and don't complete the job, DON'T wash out your brushes or rollers! Just double bag them in a plastic grocery bag and put them in the refrigerator. As long as they are moist then can stay in there an unlimited amount of time. Currently I am repainting all the doors in my home (which is going to take weeks) and I have not washed out my brushes once! This saves a lot of time energy and paint! (This goes the same for faux sponges or rags.)
Tip#3 Last but not least, get a jelly jar or small tupperware bowl and fill it up with paint and label it. I keep this in my laundry room for quick touch ups when the kids mark up the walls. I really don't like having to go out to the garage/barn and go thru all the left over gallons of paint just to do touch up on the wall. (Remember I like to paint!)

Hello Friends, Have any of you considered changing the cleaning products in your home from toxic to non-toxic. I would love to share with you my SIMPLE APPROACH to cleaning with non-toxic products.
You can keep your home just as clean for much less money, safeguard your personal health, and even protect the environment by going back to the basics. Doesn't that feel EMPOWERING?
Chlorine Bleach: What Are the Alternatives? Chlorine bleach is one of the oldest cleaners. It's also one of the harshest. Chlorine bleach kills germs on contact, and isn't much friendlier to your skin, if accidentally splashed. Manufacturers include chlorine bleach in a wide variety of cleaning products as well as some laundry and dishwasher detergents.
Bleach is also renowned for its mold-killing ability, but it's not the only way to kill mold and mildew. Hydrogen peroxide or vinegar also works to kill mold. I recently heard that the acid in grapefruit juice is a mold killer and it is definitely kinder on the nose!
Ammonia: Avoiding Hazardous Fumes Want a clue to ammonia's hazardous properties? Consider its well-known harsh smell. Undiluted ammonia is highly irritating to the eyes and respiratory system. Because it does everything from cutting through grease to cleaning windows, ammonia is found in a wide range of conventional cleaning products. There are other ways to clean that are just as effective.
Non-toxic Solution Look for "green" and non-toxic cleaners that don't contain chlorine, alchohols, triclosan, triclocarbon, lye, glycol ethers, or ammonia. Choose ones that say "petroleum-free," "90% biodegradable in 3 days," or "phosphate-free." Choose safer products that say "petroleum-free," "biodegradable," "phosphate-free," "VOC-free," and "solvent-free."
General Non-toxic Solutions: Use a reusable microfiber cloth to dust -- it picks up dust particles without needing any chemical help. White distilled vinegar can be used to clean windows; kill mold and mildew; get rid of soap scum; and sanitize kitchen counters and cutting boards. Use baking soda and a few drops of soap to scour kitchen counters and bathtubs. For tough stains, use borax. For fresh scents, use lemons or essential oils like lavender. Try these recipes for homemade cleaners:
Household Cleaner Instructions All-Purpose Disinfecting Cleaner 2 cups water (preferably distilled water) 1 1/2 to 3 tsp. liquid castille soap 1 tsp. tea tree oil Mix ingredients above to store and keep. Add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil to give it a pleasing scent.
Toilet Bowl Cleaner 1 cup borax Pour into toilet bowl before going to bed. In the morning, scrub and flush.
Rust Remover 1 lime Salt Sprinkle a little salt on the rust. Squeeze a lime over the salt until it is well soaked. Let the mixture set for two to three hours. Use the leftover rind to scrub the residue.
Glass Cleaner 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar 1 quart warm water Mix ingredients above. Pour into a spray bottle or apply with a sponge. For lint-free results, wipe dry with crumpled newspaper instead of paper towels. Buff to a shine.
I hope these tips will cultivate you and bring you INN'ER POWER I would love to hear some of your non-toxic tips! Tari Bussard EMPOWERMENT 101 COMMUNITY!
Every year on Mothers Day we usually go out to brunch on Mother's Day because that's what my Mother-in-Law likes to do. And because I love her and adore her that's what we do. Same thing every year! You know you go to one of those expensive buffet type places where you eat and eat and eat! Then you are so full you are almost sick! It's not really my cup of tea but I do it for her.
This year we are again doing the brunch thing, but I decided to have my Mother's Day last week end and this is what I did. My girlfriend had a free certificate for one night stay, dinner up to $125.00 and two 80 minute massages and she invited me to go with her.
I had a really busy week, school functions are starting for the end of the year, I had four families over for dinner on Friday, church, shopping on Saturday and a birthday party on Sunday.
After the party I left with a friend to the spa and spent the afternoon resting on the bed doing absolutely NOTHING for three hours. We rested on the most amazing bed with the most amazing pillows and comforters. We went down and had a two hour wonderful, relaxing dinners and laughed and laughed! We had two free dinner certificates, so we ordered calamari, shrimp bisque, steak and lobster and had two deserts. Oh my, were we stuffed. We uncomfortably made our way back up to our rooms and fell asleep in those lush beds by 9:30. Slept like a babies!
The next morning we laid in bed and ordered room service and shared some nourishing oatmeal and a fruit plate. Then we went down for our massages. We were in heaven! Then we showered, dressed and shopped for about another hour.
Finally we headed home and had some shrimp tacos on the patio in a little restaurant in a little town called Los Olivos. WOW, what a great Mother's Day was that!
I haven't indulged like that in a long time, the economy has every one cutting back including me! I was very grateful and honored that my friend shared with me. She is a lovebug! I will pay it forward!
But I tell you what, even though I loved every minute of it, and really needed the pampering, I felt a little over indulgent. Since we have learned to cut back and SIMPLIFY our lives I have come to realize that true happiness comes from within, being in the moment and being there for my family. I loved coming home to my husband and kids and doing what I do best, that's taking care of them. I love being a Mother! It's not always easy, and there isn't much rest, but I wouldn't change it for anything else in the world.
I am blessed and I LOVE MY LIFE!
