In some ways, every day, we consciously set our intentions and then turn them into our preferred result. Examples would be: foods we prefer, the quickest way to get somewhere, a desire to see a certain movie, etc. If we don't like something we change it and move on until we get what we prefer.
We can apply this to a bigger part of our life - what is it that we exactly prefer to have in our life? A preferred experience like - better health, more abundance, romance, being relaxed and at ease, etc.
This is a simple exercise I just read about that makes sense. By practicing this it helps you to gain your preferred experience.
1. Take a deep breath in...As you exhale, say: "It would be nice if...(State your preferred result)". Now visualize that possibility and how nice it is. You are now tuning in to this possibility.
2. Take a deep breath in...As you exhale say: "How nice it will be to...(State your preferred result)". Now tell yourself "How nice it is that this is possible". You are now tapping into this possibility.
3. Take a deep breath in...As you exhale say: "How nice IT IS to...(State your preferred result)". Now, really feel how nice it is, knowing it is possible. You are now locking onto this possibility.
Notice how you feel when you complete this and go about your day.
