After being awake almost 28 hours, I really looked worse than this. Will graduation day ever show up? I pulled most of my hair out and I got a suntan :_| Too tired to blog so I just decided to show up anyway. I am so positive about my New You Journey...you ought to see what size cap & gown I ordered. ?:|

How many candles can you light with your candle? If you take a candle and light ten other candles, will the light of your candle go out? Can you share your dreams and knowledge with others to elevate their self-esteem to assist in building their individual dreams? Let’s not forget the famous lyrics sung in “The Wizard of Oz”—

(Click this link for a child's dream) What is your dream? Have you shared it lately?

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true!

Do You Have Emotional Freedom & Abundance? Be honest..if you do have, then share it with a family member, a spouse, a loved one, a friend, or co-worker or someone that you have observe that just needs it. :-x How to share...

For the past 48 hours the tooth fairy :_| received one victory and was looking for more to come. The dentist tried to convince me of several extractions…but I was determined to make sure if the dentist was so anxious to get to the root of the problem then it was certainly time for me to get to the root of my challenges and leave my comfort zone to avoid continuous visits from the tooth fairy. In other words years of poor eating habits = years of bad teeth.

My comfort zone consists of sitting in my very comfortable office chair that incidentally I purchased six years ago at an office auction for $10. They don’t make them like that anymore. Okay back to the journey…I decided to get up this morning and walk outside the front door and into a different neighborhood and I had so much fun that I videoed myself walking…you can see it in a minute…and when I returned home I rode my bike for 5 miles. I feel great!!!

Of course I have a new motto now…NO MORE COMFORT ZONE!!!

Walking out of my comfort zone

When I was a child my grandmother would always see me starring into space. She would yell,"Stop sleeping awake,"I had no idea what that meant. I only knew whenever I found myself this way my mind would be a million miles away with visions and dreams that even I would be afraid to tell anyone. I had no idea that a group (P.O.D.) had actually recorded the song, Sleeping Awake. No I am not going to post the video. You're on your own, but I will post some of their lyrics that I say is awesome and familiar because as a child I heard them in another song.

Do you see what I see?
Can you hear what I hear?
And do you see what I see?
And can you hear what I hear?
And do you feel like I feel?
And can you dream like I dream?

It's okay if no one does, but as long as you are in the now...:)

As my BraveHeart Sisters were congratulating me on My New You Journey and I was being blessed to start on another year... my mind was really far away thinking on my sister with a brave heart who was about to lose her second son to Sickle Cell Anemia. You see I didn't celebrate the way you probably thought I did...there were no baloons...no cake and ice cream...no fancy dinner....because there was only prayer. After the taping of my video I went to church where there was a special prayer service being held to pray for others. For two weeks I was on the phone with my sister with a brave heart as she battled with accepting the fact that she was about to lose a second son to sickle cell anemia. Being in the healthcare field for so many years, I knew that Only God could make an intervention because medicine and medical procedures had went to its limit. I tried daily to prepare her, and when I knew she wasn't prepared I prayed that night at church for her acceptance, especially after his heart had stopped 3 times the night before. I told her I didn't want to come to the hospital...because I did not want to see her expressions.

On yesterday afternoon, I received a call and she asked me to honor a promise that I had given her in the past weeks to be there if she needed me for something important. I thought she was going to ask me to come to the hospital to visit him, but instead she asked me a question that I wasn't ready for, "would you please handle his arrangements from the hospital...I have already left him at the hospital. My heart stopped for a brief second and I said yes. As I hung up the phone I asked myself... what have I committed to? I call the funeral home and did as she asked. She finally had earned a brave heart of acceptance and I was proud of her.

Death of a person, birth of a person, or a change of an attitude can made some extraordinary changes in your life. Changes can make you stronger or weaker. I prefer to strive for strength. But I have learned and continue to learn that whatever the change may bring...you got to face the music. Tomorrow I face a visit to a graveside funeral and I have been chosen to be one to bring joy and not sadness.

Why? Because I believe that everything has a purpose that will be beneficial no matter the circumstances if you look at it from a different angle. I have joy when I know someone is no longer suffering. My change of status is to daily bring joy into someone's life in place of the past attitudes of holding on to sadness.

As I heard Ellie Drake quote time after time:

Joy comes from within. I am in "In Joy' while I take daily actions

Did I love enough?
Did I forgive enough?
Did I laugh enough?
Did I smile enough?
Did I share enough?
Did I witness enough?
Did I pray enough?
Did I give enough?
Did I have enough joy?
Did I cry too much?
Was I depressed too often?
Did I entertain creative thoughts or destructive thoughts?

If you are reading this...then it's not too late to create your epitaph.

How will yours read? :-x

I know that a person can be whatever they want to be if they believe enough regardless of the challenges that they might face. You can be born in any class or culture and progress or regress. I don’t believe that there are any more excuses. I believe about 2 million people less or more dismissed those challenges on January 20, 2009 no matter their culture. Now it is no longer up to your heritage but your determination to succeed. Success for the baby boomers attitude is already turning future economics and lifestyles around with their beliefs that age, culture, and even personality are mere stepping-stones and no longer obstacles in the way. You can accumulate disadvantages by someone else viewpoints and create advantages. I have had more positive things to happen for me as an older person because I am letting go of past myths that my background would sink me. Failures are only failures if you don’t learn from them. As I quote a very dear friend of mine: “My future is no longer an extension of the past. I now ask to be led toward a destiny that outshines my history.” ~Ellie Drake

Who is following you? Why do birds fly together in a formation? Leading without a plan is as foolish as going to sea without a compass.

When my certainty far exceeds the world’s doubt—that is when they will follow me. My level of certainty will be nourished and strengthened when I connect with a purpose that is larger than myself. ~Dr. Ellie Drake

Have you ever been involved in a case of mistaken Identity? I have. Just recently I awaken one morning and took a look in the mirror but I wasn't there. I have no idea who was starring back at me but it certainly wasn't me.

You see I am the one who loves to communicate through daily blogging... but she has been missing...I am the one who was once persistent in follow ups...but she disappeared...I am the one who frowns upon making excuses...but she is alive and well...I am the one who has developed a case of mistaken identity.

I'm-----back!

For those of you who know her that is an easy answer, but for those who are brand new to the BraveHeart Community...let me share with you some spectacular news.

001.jpg

You just got to meet her and you can do that everyday by taking advantage of BraveHeart TV and see her in "Inspiration In Action" during some awesome interviews.

I am reminded of around this time last year how she led us to victory in New Orleans through "Inspired By The Big Give" and we made repairs on two homes, and she left a check for $100,000.00 for the remaining of repars for 8 more homes that she collected in 24 hours from inspired givers on a conference call.

BraveHeart Women New Orleans Journey 001.jpg

I was praying that the storm would bypass so our legacy and others would last a while, so enjoy meeting her if you haven't already.

Enjoy BraveHeart TV
