Did you already lose your list of Resolutions for 2009? I couldn't find mine this morning and so I quickly made a new short list.
As soon as I finished writing, I went to my computer table and there it was - my original list. It was one of those OMG moments. At first I was chastising myself for not thinking of my 'resolutions' for a couple of days.
But realizing that a person attracts what they think about and feel, I changed my awareness to one of gratitude. Gratitude for picking up my pen and writing down some new mini goals.
Isn't that what resolutions are? Mini goals. Small baby steps to get to that huge goal you have been envisioning?
As BraveHeart Women, we too must be ready to 'Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off' and go forward with our inspirations, passions, and purpose.
Don't be afraid to make a new list of goals/resolutions every now and then. You may find new creativity, new inspiration and new dedication.
Forward ladies, forward - on to your personal victory and empowerment.
Never giving up, Your BraveHeart sister in oneness, Rijuta Tooker
Having just listened to two interviews by Ellie Drake for her BraveHeart Women TV, I am very impressed - impressed not only with the two women interviewed but with Ellie herself.
Mariel Hemingway, granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, spoke of the difficulties of her young years and later of her triumphs. Inspired by nature, Mariel lives her life with passion and intention and by creating 'sacred space' in all that she is and in all that she does. In less than 30 minutes Ellie inspired Mariel to share so much of her dynamic and creative self.
Lisa Nichols, teacher in the DVD Law of Attraction, told of her humble beginnings and of her indomitable 'No Matter What' spirit that brought her to where she is today. She spoke of her efforts to provide a 'safe place' for teens and of her aspirations to always be in service to humanity. She is truly a woman who owns her greatness.
Ellie Drake so effortlessly creates the 'sacred space' for the women she interviews. Ellie's sense of oneness, her heartfelt listening and her sensitive questioning reveal the special uniqueness and personal greatness of each person.
Gratitude to Mariel Hemingway, to Lisa Nichols and especially to Ellie Drake for allowing us to share so much of the sacred heart space of each one of the three ladies.
Synchronicities, or meaningful coincidences, occur quite often in everyone's life. If we are not looking for them, we may not see them or be aware of them.
In my view, it may help to be aware of them because so often there is a reason why the synchronicity occurred in the first place. My experience on my way home from Colorado to New York last Monday is just such an example.
My original flight was to depart Durango, Colorado, at 10:15am. I arrived at the airport very early because I was able to get a ride with someone who had an early departure.
Fortunately, I was able to go standby on the earlier flight so I boarded very happily. If I could be as lucky on the flight from Denver to New York, then I would be home a couple of hours early!
Once comfortably seated, I heard the captain's voice. Because of ice on the runway, the plane was 320 pounds too heavy and three people would have to get off. Two others got off before me (a stewardess and someone else with the airlines). I also had to get off because I was flying standby.
Just as I arrived at the front of the plane, the stewardess said, 'OK, you can stay!' (apparently I was meant to be on the plane!)
I sat in the extreme back seat next to a girl. It turned out that she missed her earlier flight and had to go on the flight I was on. Here were two people whose paths had crossed due to unique circumstances. We were both grateful for the meet-up!
The girl and I began to talk and found that we had mutual interests and would be able to contribute to each other in several ways. Long story made short, her boyfriend can use my coaching services and she is interested to be certified as a coach herself. She was also very interested in Dr. Sugar's Retreat for Couples.
Synchronicities are fun, interesting and helpful. A quick example: My friend brought a car to me to see if I was interested in buying it. I liked the car very much and told him I would let him know the following day. That evening as I sat down to dinner and was looking out my window, I saw a skywriter plane fly by writing the words, "BUY BUICK".
Needless to say, the car my friend brought was a Buick. I called him immediately and told him I would buy it.
Do you have any synchronicities that are remarkable or interesting? I would love to hear about them!
Enjoy a synchronistic day! Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power!
I found this cute little Money Angel in an e-mail from one of my friends. She couldn't resist sending it and neither can I.
What can we do with a Money Angel? We can keep her with us as a reminder that we have many angels around us at all times to help us live in abundance.
Whenever you notice any kind of abundance in your life, you can simply touch your thumb (a favorite resting place for Money Angels), and say 'Thank you for the abundance in my life!'
Suppose you see a shiny penny on the sidewalk as you get out of your car (a sign of abundance in your life!) As you pick it up, you touch your thumb and say, 'Thank you for the abundance in my life!'
This will help fill your Gratitude Treasure Chest for the day. How many Money Angels do you keep with you?

Outwardly, do the obvious. Toss out all of those old files you have in your cabinet. Decide which winter clothes you want to keep and give away or throw away the rest. Store only those things that are absolutely functional, necessary, beautiful or sacred. Sort and Clean all spaces in your apartment or house.
Inwardly, not as easy. Again, throw out all of those old 'files' you run so often. Breathe them out; exercise them out; pray them out; meditate them out. Replace them with new 'files'. Keep only those thoughts, feelings and beliefs that serve the highest in you and that are beautiful or sacred.
As we prepare for spring, rewards will blossom both inwardly and outwardly. New opportunity, new personal growth, new peace and new joy.
Worth preparing for? Just Do It!

May I introduce you to our new dynamic American Indian friend, Deerheart Hummingbird. In her own words:
"Hello there, I’d like to thank you for such a warm welcome to the community. I am very excited to be a part of this very positive and powerful community.
I have not been able to visit and explore the site as much as I would like at this time as I am entertaining out of town guest for this week. I am also preparing to fly to Austin, Texas on March 10-April 6, 2009. A friend and I will be holding a few workshops in Wimberley and San Marcos, Texas.
On March 25, I have a speaking engagement the topic, "Perspectives on Women's Self Esteem" at Texas State University. My itinerary for the Texas visit is full; I look forward to meeting new friends and seeing old friends. For the month of April I am hoping to attend the “Gathering of Nation” in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The month of May I will attend Pow-Wows in Illinois, the month of June I will attend “The Sacred Sundance” at Pine Ridge, South Dakota with the Lakota people, the month of July I will attend “The Green Corn Ceremony” in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with the Cherokee and Choctaw people. I could go on and on about all the wonderful places I am hoping to be, but the list is too long.
Warm thanks, Deerheart Hummingbird"

For those who are feeling a bit scattered, light-headed, as if there is a disconnect with your daily efforts, or simply out of sorts and don't know why, perhaps you need to ground yourself.
Grounding oneself has to do with the base chakra, which serves to harmonize and balance us to the earth energies. As a yoga instructor and yoga therapist, I am always surprised to see how many persons need to ground themselves.
Last week I suggested two simple ways to my Soul-Power Community. Below are other suggestions. I invite you to experiment to see if one or more add to your life experience.
- Spend time out in nature - Surround yourself with nature in your home with houseplants, flowers, herbs and pictures or photos on the walls - Use the color red as an accent. This color is associated with the base chakra - Meditate and begin by visualizing yourself in a natural setting such as forest, seaside, shells, sand, rocks - Eat fresh vegetables and fruits - Massage with essential oils that come from trees whose roots go deep into the earth - Homemaking helps by caring for the home, the garden, the people in your life
The more grounded we are to the earth energies, the more easily we can access the higher vibrational energies.
Have a happy and grounded day! Rijuta Tooker Manifest your Soul-Power! Soul Power Community
Do you hear yourself saying, "Things aren't the way they used to be!" "Everything is falling apart!" "Those were the good ole days!" "I don't know what's the matter with me; I'm in the middle of nowhere!" "Things are changing too fast!"
Many are not only feeling that their comfort zone is crumbling or disappearing but that they are unsure of their future and do not know in which direction to go.
If you are one who feels a little wobbling, you are not alone!
We recognize that this is a time of great change, a kind of disintegration of much in our society that we held onto in the past. As institutions and ideals are ripped from our grasp, we feel we have nothing to hold onto.
Therefore, this is a time in which we must create our own way: new institutions, new ideals. We will find new ways to effectively deal with our economic needs, new ways to serve humanity, new ways in which to go forward to an every expanding and higher meaning of life.
In order to do this, we need to open to our inner resources, to our soul-power to be energized with excitement, creativity and love.
Needlessly holding onto the past will only cause pain. Trusting the process, the Universe, your inner Self, will be your safe haven. Relying on your inner Source and putting feelings and ideas into action will energize and empower you!
First we must clear out and release the old, then fill that empty space with only those ideas, people and things that are totally harmonious with our highest vibration.
Allowing the sunlight of love and joy to illumine our heart will assist us as we throw out the dust of doubt, fear and anger.
Keep a journal; you will be surprised at how things will change in the next year!

"What is real?" asked the Rabbit one day when the two toys were lying side by side. "Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick out handle?"
"Real isn't how you're made", said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you when a child loves you for a long time, not just to play with, but really loves you, then you become real."
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes", said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are real, you don't mind being hurt."
"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up, or bit by bit?"
"It doesn't hapen all at once. You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen to people who break easily or have sharp edges or have to be carefully kept. Generally by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off and your eyes drop out and you get loose at the joints and very shabby but these things don't matter at all because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
How did you get real?

The suggestion usually goes, 'Stop and smell the roses'. Last night after purchasing a small bunch of daffodils (buds completely closed), I placed them in a vase, and sat them on the table in my 'sacred space'.
This morning when I went into the room, to my delight the buds had totally opened and a pungent fragrance was in the air! Frankly I had never thought of daffodils as having any kind of fragrance.
This reminds me that we often find the beauty and fragrance of life in places where we don't usually look. As I go about my affairs today, I intend to look beyond the usual.
Already this morning in my back yard, which I look at on a daily basis, I looked more closely today and was surprised to see tiny little white snow flowers popping their heads up in a huge patch about the size of a square yard!
We can look for beauty and fragrance in people, in circumstances and in our own thoughts. Let us expand our awareness today to all that has a special beauty and a special fragrance!
The song is written by Kathy Nelson. I invite you to listen closely to her words. What follows is a little of her story and how she came to write this song.
"In 1990 I was invited to play an original song at a christening of a baby boy named Noah. 18 years later I was contacted again to play the same song for Noah's memorial service. Upon hearing the news of his sudden death, my thoughts went immediately to the parents and how hard it must be for them to lose their son, so young in life, and my heart went out to them.
"Then I thought of Noah. Who was he, what was he like? I never knew him. And yet I have the honor of being included in both his christening and his memorial. Did we have a spiritual connection? Where is he now? What's it like there? Thoughts flowed, spirit, formless, free, home. Acknowledging his spirit, I innocently said, "Hello Noah, how's it going?" Suddenly I felt a big, expansive, happy, excited presence in my midst or in my mind or in my mood, I couldn't tell. Suddenly I was having thoughts about writing a song, co-writing a song with Noah. And the words: I am here, kept running through my mind. Was this the spirit of Noah or my imagination? I couldn't deny I felt inspired."
She followed her inspiration. Are you following yours?
This morning I sent the following invitation to my Soul-Power Community. Couldn't resist sending it to you as it seems today is a day for DANCE! Having been a dancer with the Hartford Ballet Company, Modern Dance Troupe, I appreciate all forms of dance. Enjoy!
“Corroboree celebrates the spirit of global peace, love and our interconnection to one another as one humanity on this planet. It's about family. It's about you. Embracing unity in sound and soul, this song incorporates pop vocals, Latin and World style drumming, a tribal choir and didgeridoo. This song sends a message...it's time to change the world! Written by Tam Katzin and Bronwyn Edwards Cryer. This song is dedicated to . . . all those brave souls [BRAVEHEART souls] standing up to sing their own song and share their love for world peace.”
Stay with the song until the end - it builds! You cannot help but dance in celebration if you listen and move to this 6-minute song.
"Are you breathing, are you moving? In time with the heartbeat of humanity? Vibrant, precious, pulse of life Revel in it! CORROBOREE!
"Feel it Believe it Become it Feel it Lift your feet Dance it CORROBOREE!
Don't just sit there - get up and move your feet! Invite your friends, your family, your pets! or . . . put your headset on and dance in your chair . . .
Cows, birds, bees, whales and other animals respond to the pull of the earth's magnetic fields, running in a general direction of north and south. When animals are in the vicinity of power lines that are placed in an East-West direction, animals often become confused.
The closer the animals are to the power lines, the more directionally disoriented the animals become, tending to align with the East-West power lines instead of the earth's magnetic north and south poles.
We can ask ourselves the question: "Do I always respond to my 'true north' where my core values lie? Or am I distracted by a magnetic pull from something that I am not truly aligned with?"
How are you spending your energies? Energies of your thoughts, your feelings and your actions? Are they in total alignment with your highest vision and mission? Are they in line with what you feel is your soul's purpose?
Check in with yourself. Do a quick scan. Make a slight adjustment to the direction in which you are headed. Be in simple alignment with your greatness, your Soul-Power!
'Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum' was the message of a concert and cultural event held at the United Nations Wednesday, 25th March '09. International artists and performers, including drummers and dancers from Cameroon, Gilberto Gil, Sarah Jones, Carl Lewis and Whoopi Goldberg performed before an audience of over 2,000 in the United Nations General Assembly Hall.
This extraordinary event was held as a result of a United Nations General Assembly Resolution in order to educate future generations about the perils of slave trade, racism and prejudice.
The event was deeply moving, heart-wrenching yet a celebration of the victory of human aspiration and intention.
Being backstage with my friends, Carl Lewis and his Mom, Evelyn, and the other performers was fascinating. We felt an incredible warmth of family feeling among the performers who represented many of the 192 Member States in the United Nations.
