fireman and dog.jpg

The act of being grateful is not reserved only for humans. This dog shows just how appreciative she is to this heroic fireman.

She is pregnant . He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, then he continued to fight the fire.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina news-paper, noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the firefighter and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had just saved her life and the lives of her babies and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

Pawsitively yours,

How kids and dogs can benefit when action is taken.

This is a story about a 12 year old girl, Mimi, from Bend, Oregon who has a passion for dogs and decided to make a difference in their lives.

Watch her video and visit her website (www.freekibble.com) to help Mimi feed the homeless dogs around the country.

There are so many lessons for us to learn from Mimi. We can all probably say at some time or another that we have had thoughts about assisting the less fortunate whether it be kids or pets. The major difference here is obvious, Mimi took action. She did not let it remain just a thought . Because of her young age she needed support to manifest her vision. She went to her biggest support team her parents who are pet lovers as well. They recognized the special bond that their child has with dogs and decided to help her in realizing her passion.

In summary, take action when you have a thought or idea and do whatever is necessary to implement your vision and see it through to manifestation.

Mimi is a true inspiration to us all.

Do you have a story about kids and dogs that could inspire others?

A dog that jumps rope? Oprah certainly has a keen eye for unique guests appearing on her show. Sweetpea is just that. This dog is talented and very smart. She is a 10 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepard mix. What a bond this owner has with his dog. Pawsitively yours, Audie Founder and CEO of KidsPetTales.com

Two different shelters with very different residents have joined forces to help kids learn how to read. It's a program that combines kids and dogs in a unique way. Debbye Turner reports Dogs have a built in confidence builder that they will gladly share with kids. In turn the dogs have a job that fulfills their purpose. It is a win win situation.

I actually had this video posted in Jan/09 but decided to post it again.

If anyone caught the Oprah show today. Her guests were the two men who were Christian the Lion's original owners. It has been 40 years since this video was shot.

Oprah asked John Rendall and Ace Bourke, if they were afraid they would get mauled during the reunion because Christian wouldn't remember them. There answer was no not at all. Raising him from a cub created a deep connection with him and they knew his body language.

It is one of YouTube's most popular video's with well over 10 million views.

I don't care how many times I watch this it still touches my heart and makes the tears flow!:-x

Russian kids get better with pets

Pet therapists boost children's health and hope in Siberia.

Animal therapy is nothing new and has been used for decades throughout the world to help children overcome physical, emotional and learning challenges. But in Russia it's still relatively rare.

One of the few programs offering help and hope to hundreds of children is to be found in a small Siberian village.

Watch how the pets lend a helping paw to these kids.

Everything is Possible - video powered by Metacafe

Don't set your expectations too low for yourself, because of fear or self-limiting beliefs. It may not be easy, but with the proper training and experience you can achieve results that seem nearly impossible.

Watch this video and be inspired to take action.
