From Linda Strasburg:
Mother nature can be so beautiful and creative and so powerful and destructive at the same time...the dichotomy of life...and... I suspect much like each of us. Host of InterViews & InterAction on K-Talk radio
How do you view what happened last Friday in Japan? Did Mother Earth have a hissy fit, a birth contraction, a muscle spasm, or was she bent on destruction? Certainly her action was momentous. We have so many choices, we can blame the earth, focus on the fear factors, or ask what can we do to help? One action we can always take is to pray in whatever way feels right to us. We can pray for the Japanese people, the technicians at the nuclear plants, and for Mother Earth.
I needed to understand what happened physically, and my friend who is an amateur geologist explained to me the science of what happened.
I hope I retained enough to share that here. There are 4 tectonic plates coming together right over Japan. The plates are in constant movement and sometimes that movement just has to be released. The release can be an earthquake, tidal wave, or volcanic explosion. The earth is changing and that change is part of her natural cyclical law.
I relate to needing to release energy. Sometimes I am running so much energy through my system I have to do something. When I am feeling spiritually healthy that something means a brisk walk, an aerobic dance, writing a quick blog, or calling a friend. The release becomes creative. When I am off my center that can mean a fight with my partner, bruising my leg, or yelling at my computer. The release becomes destructive. I can consciously choose which way I want to channel that energy. Today I am choosing to write this blog and share a few of my prayers. What are your prayers?
I pray that all who need shelter from the elements will find the solace that they need. I pray that the rescue workers continually feel encouraged. I pray that the supplies that are needed come through more easily.
I pray that the technicians at the plants have the strength, and single-minded purpose to change what they can. I pray that they have all the supplies and equipment that they need to avert as much damage as possible. I pray that the Japanese government and people wake up, see the danger of having a nuclear power plant on 4 fault lines, and close the plants safely.
I pray that Mother Earth knows the love of all her children. I pray that we will all wake up to the consciousness that we are one on this beautiful blue green gem of a planet. I pray that one day that the Mother will be free of all nuclear power plants.
The Crows are calling you. Have you heard them this week? Is it music to your ears, or just a bunch of raucous noise? Do you hear them challenging you to be more authentic, more creative with your day? Please share with the crows and me the ways you are creative today.
