One of Jim Rohn's quotes has stuck with me, "When you change the way YOU look at things, the things YOU look at change."
Some days, I sit back in my chair, take a deep breath and SMILEI can hear this quote ringing throughout my thoughts, my hopes, my dreams, my desires.
It all goes back to the Law of Attraction. You get what you THINK about. So think positive, think happy, think abundance. As I grin from ear to ear, I know that each and every day is a gift, I am choosing to use it wisely, purposefully, and passionately.
I am choosing to radiate a positive energy that is a magnetic for like energies. I am manifesting the things, resources, and contacts in my life that I require to take my life to the next level...
I was asked this question today..... Let me start by saying it hasn't always been this way.
The key here has been implementation.
Once I got real with me, with my heart and soul. Found a level of gratitude for my life, for everything in my life, and I truly learned how to come from a place of peace, love, harmony, and gratitude for each situation. It felt surreal, to say the least.
Have you ever known those people that just seem to be soooo lucky, they win everything, great things always "pop up" in their lives? This is no coincidence.
On the flip side, have you ever know someone the complete opposite.... someone who is the poster child for Murphy's Law. This is no coincidence either.
I challenge you to be a fly on the wall. Observe both types of peoples lives, observe their behaviors, their words, and their actions.
I began doing this, and evaluating my friends and co-workers. Studying the people who had it all, and how it was happening. I noticed that the happy people, the so called lucky people weren't complaining about their momentary setbacks, they were focusing on the good, on the things that they were grateful for..... On the other hand, the people who were continuously facing challenges, were consistently complaining about them, saying things such as, "why wouldn't this happen to me?"
It all stems to THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
You get what you think about. It is just as easy to think about abundance, rather than bills as you walk to the mailbox. It is much easier to dream and envision the happy ending, as it is to worry about the what-if's and the unknowns. But the excellent part to this is that when you do focus on the positive, you FEEL much more at peace and ease in your life. You don't get the negative energies that come with the worry and the fear.
When you dream and envision, you almost always will develop a smile on your face, a sense of relaxation in your shoulders, and your breath will get deeper. TRY IT!!!
And when life does give you a momentary setback, evaluate it.... What can you learn from this challenge? And what is the golden nugget in this situation??

For me I noticed, that instantly I was going through my day SEARCHING for things to write in that journal... because in the frame of mind I was coming from, this was going to be impossible to come up with this many things to be grateful for.....
It does not matter how big or how small these things are....
Some examples: I am grateful for my daughters smile I am grateful for a healthy body I am grateful for the fragrant flowers growing in my yard I am grateful that the doorman, held the door open for me
And almost instantly, I found that my mindset had shifted!! I was certainly not looking for or at the negativity any longer....

I am in the process of purchasing my first home. I am very fortunate that I live in an area that has not been the least bit affected by the economic challenges that a large portion of the country has faced.
With that said, home have been flying off the market.... some home lasting just one day!
I found a for sale by owner home that I just knew was "the one"..... So I put in an offer on Sunday.... and the waiting began. Since it was a for sale by owner both myself and the seller were figuring out the exact process! As the days began to pass I was getting a little anxious to hear back. Everything had been agreed upon verbally, but the legal lingo seemed to be the hold-up.
Well I finally received the signed purchase and sale agreement back on Wednesday evening!
I took it to my loan officer first thing Thursday morning........ and WOW!!!!!
RATES HAD DROPPED!!! I was able to lock my rate at 5.0%!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!
I see that it is proven again..... PATIENCE PAYS OFF!!!
Trusting the Process to first time home ownership - Crystal
A few months back, I decided that I wanted to attend one of Dr Sugar's Amazing Women's Retreats.
I didn't know what it entailed, what we would be doing, talking about, or covering...... But my intuition said GO!!
All I knew was the airport that I was flying into. I had no idea where I was actually going. So as I waited for the limo to pick me up I met a few of the other ladies attending. When I asked where we were going, I was told Pagosa Springs. I had never heard of this place!
We arrive in the driveway of this amazing estate in the Colorado mountains. And down the sidewalk comes Dr Sugar, and another amazing woman.
At this point I had only met Dr Sugar once before at an event. She came and gave me a giant hug!
And next I got a big hug from Lisa. Lisa Collins is Dr. Sugar's Amazing Executive Assistant.
Instantly I felt like I really knew both of these women. They both had incredible energy, and such kind, welcoming spirits.
As the weekend went on, it felt as if I had known these two women my entire life. We danced, we sang, we laughed, we cried, we bonded.
I knew instantly that these two incredible, amazing, fun, energetic women were going to be essential elements to my life forever.
I am so honored to have these two incredible women in my life, to have created such amazing bonds with both of them, and so quickly. I never really understood what a "Soul Sister" was until I met two in the same day!!!!
I love you both, and I thank you both for being such an asset to my life!!!!!
And here's to the many memories we have yet to create!!!!!!!
I just got pre-approved for a home loan this week and have begun looking at homes. As a single mom, I'm on a budget, and obviously in the market for a turn-key, move in ready home!!! So I highly doubt I will be looking at any fixer uppers!!
Do you have any words of wisdom, suggestions, or advice for me???
Just a couple days ago, I was wishing to myself for just one day to catch up on a few things......
Well I GOT IT!!! Last night my 4 year old seemed to be fighting extra hard to go bed.... telling me her stomach hurt. I still convinced her to go to bed.
At about 11:30 (I had just fallen asleep) I heard a faint yet terrified voice saying "MOMMY"
She was standing at my bedside covered in vomit. She has got sick in her bed, while sound asleep, and was therefore covered. I got her cleaned up, got the bed cleaned up, and put her in my bed.
I got her situated with a bowl, and a large towel to avoid stripping another bed! My poor daughter continued to heave about every 15 - 20 min until almost 4am....
WHICH MEANT I WAS STAYING HOME!!!!!!! As she couldn't go to daycare and I don't have anyone else here to watch her.
Well not only was I exhausted, I hadn't really been to sleep yet, but I also have a 3 year old who was not sick and required my full attention as well.
I guess the moral to my story is be more specific in what you ask for!!!
I got to stay home and spend the day with my girls, got caught up on some cleaning, organizing, and even a little sleep! And now they are both great! We had an excellent girls day!!!!
I had the pleasure of going to visit the town I moved from just a couple months ago over this weekend. I ran into a few familiar faces, and had some wonderful conversations.
Yet, I looked around a there were a few situations that when I look back at now......
It is such a gift, that my prayers at the time were not answered.
Because, if those prayers would have been answered, I would not be on the journey that I am today. I would not be living my life with excitement, passion and purpose...... And I most likely would not have made the move that I did. Which by the way has been one of the best things I have done!
As a young girl this song never made a whole lot of sense to me. However as my life progresses, as I see things more clearly now. I KNOW, in my heart that EVERYTHING HAPPENS EXACTLY AS IT IS SUPPOSED TOO!
I trust, that even though it seems to make no sense in that moment, when our prayers do go unanswered it is because there is something or someone better coming along!
As we journey through this life, I ask that you take a moment......
A moment to breathe........
A moment to trust....................
A moment to believe in the journey we are on........
A moment to build our courage and stamina........
For someone, somewhere, a higher power of some sort, really is looking out for us!
As the song says, "Some of God's greatest gifts, are unanswered prayers"
