Dear BraveHeart Women,

Did you already lose your list of Resolutions for 2009?
I couldn't find mine this morning and so I quickly made a new short list.

As soon as I finished writing, I went to my computer table and there it was - my original list. It was one of those OMG moments. At first I was chastising myself for not thinking of my 'resolutions' for a couple of days.

But realizing that a person attracts what they think about and feel, I changed my awareness to one of gratitude. Gratitude for picking up my pen and writing down some new mini goals.

Isn't that what resolutions are? Mini goals. Small baby steps to get to that huge goal you have been envisioning?

As BraveHeart Women, we too must be ready to 'Pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off' and go forward with our inspirations, passions, and purpose.

Don't be afraid to make a new list of goals/resolutions every now and then. You may find new creativity, new inspiration and new dedication.

Forward ladies, forward - on to your personal victory and empowerment.

Never giving up,
Your BraveHeart sister in oneness,
Rijuta Tooker

1105726_forest.jpg "Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley." Theodore Roethke.

How often do we begin walking along a very attractive path, come to a fork and do not know which direction to take, so we return back the way we came?

We do not always see or know the exact way to go on our life's path, but the Universe will give us clues. How do we recognize the signals given to us? We keep our consciousness open and aware, grateful for the next best step and stay with our enthusiasm and eagerness. Never giving up, we follow our own individual and unique path.

What if we take the wrong turn? Great! We have learned something from the experience and know we must take a different direction. At least we keep moving and do not become paralyzed in immobility.

Once in a while, as our path seemingly ends, we must make our own path. Courage, persistance and gratitude help to forge ahead.

My favorite path is the one that is interesting and colorful, that has a unique beauty and that leads me to stopping points that are nourishing, illumining and fulfilling.

What does your path look like?

'Breaking the Silence, Beating the Drum' was the message of a concert and cultural event held at the United Nations Wednesday, 25th March '09.
tstposter-medium.jpg
International artists and performers, including drummers and dancers from Cameroon, Gilberto Gil, Sarah Jones, Carl Lewis and Whoopi Goldberg performed before an audience of over 2,000 in the United Nations General Assembly Hall.

Click on the following link for more detailed information from YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E39fCHDkztA

This extraordinary event was held as a result of a United Nations General Assembly Resolution in order to educate future generations about the perils of slave trade, racism and prejudice.

The event was deeply moving, heart-wrenching yet a celebration of the victory of human aspiration and intention.

Being backstage with my friends, Carl Lewis and his Mom, Evelyn, and the other performers was fascinating.

We felt an incredible warmth of family feeling among the performers who represented many of the 192 Member States in the United Nations.

A full day, a heart-warming day, an historic day.

Have you heard the story of the woman who planted 50,000 bulbs of daffodils, one daffodil at a time, beginning in 1958?
737532_daffodils.jpg

She is now surrounded by five acres (5 !) of beautiful daffodils that she lovingly and consistently planted over the years. Many visit her 'Daffodil Garden' each year.

The daffodil principle is one of moving toward our goals and dreams consistently, with loving care, one small step at a time. When we are in action over a period of time we begin to build momentum and we are able to see positive results, just as we are with our BraveHeart Women Global Community!

I now keep small and colorful pictures of daffodils in my office to remind me of the Daffodil Principle!

I have a 'Microsoft Powerpoint Slide Show' that beautifully tells and shows the story. Contact me and I can send it to you.

Enjoy a beautiful Daffodil Day!

Today, my friend, Ashrita Furman, holder of the most Guinness World Records broke two more records. Ashrita has set every kind of record imaginable: fastest mile somersaulting (19 min. 11 sec.); most sit-ups in an hour (9,628); most pogostick jumps in one minute (238). See his attempt to set a pogostick record years ago: As of May 2008 Ashrita now holds the same record at 178 for the most jumps in one minute of pogostick jumping while skipping rope. Today, Ashrita's wish was to honor National Poetry Month by reciting one poem in the most different languages. The last record was set with over 70 different languages. Today Ashrita's record was set with 111 languages! Secondly, today, Ashrita is the first person to hold 100 Guiness World Records simultaneously. He actually has set over 200 records since 1979. Some of his records get broken by others and he attempts to reclaim them by setting a new record. He believes in self-transcendence through intense concentration and meditation. You can do 'it'! Do you ever feel that you would like to transcend your yesterday's self? ?:|

You are not the same person today that you were yesterday, 24 hours ago.
You have had many hours of additional experiences, thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Yesterday's limitations are only stumbling blocks to today's growth. If you wish to transcend your present reality, then you must move toward more excellence, more focussed intention, more consistent action toward the desires you have for a new reality.

Do you aspire to go beyond that which you are?
Would you like to grow into a person who has more creativity, more inner and outer wealth, more capacity to contribute to humanity?

How to do this? Keep a silent time just for yourself each day - preferably early in the morning and/or after the hustle and bustle of the day has subsided - in the evening.

After you take a few deep breaths to relax, set your intention for a greater degree of excellence in one or two areas of your life.
Take small steps, and, do it every day.

Worth 'working' for? ?:|
I feel so. :)

What do you feel?

Dear BraveHearts,

Each and every BraveHeart Woman who desires to make a difference in this world, must aspire to be healthy, strong, energetic and dynamic - outwardly as well as inwardly.

233960_37665253.energeticGirl.jpg

We are walking along Eternity's Road and all of our goals lie ahead of us.
As we walk we are reminded that we must continually move toward our goals, one step at a time.

As we physically walk, we gain outer strength, determination, better health and greater joy.
We are also adding these soul qualities to our inner treasure.

Having said the above, I firmly believe each of us must engage ourselves in some way with our physical body on a daily basis.
We need to challenge the body so we gain physical strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.

For those not already occupied daily with some athletic activity or physical labor, I encourage you to begin to walk - outdoors and daily. You only need a comfortable and supportive shoe. Nothing else.

Begin slowly and for short periods of time.
If you wish to measure your distance, go to a local track at a high school or university - OR measure a few blocks with your car.

Inspire yourself with a new track suit or walking shorts and t-shirt.
Make sure you are healthy enough to undertake a daily routine.
If in doubt, get your doctor's input.

Would be interested to know of your progress!
Would also be interested to know other kinds of exercise that our BraveHearts are doing!

To your good health, strength, vibrant energy and dynamism! :-D :-x

Obstructions that stand in the way of your life's path to fulfillment, to contribution, to happiness and success are inevitable- but They Do Not Need to be There!

1185970_dark_tree.jpg
On your individual path may be rocks and debris, holes under foot meant to trip you up and other brambles that delay or obstruct your way.

Clear them. Sweep away the clutter, inner and outer. This can best be done in silence. Use your SOUL POWER!
Whisk away the little bits of fear, the droplets of doubt, the wrinkles of worry. Chase away all anxiety animals - constantly, consistently, courageously.

Conquer all of your inner foes. ;\
Be the divine warrior that you are meant to be. B-)
Celebrate in your victories, one by one.
:-D

To your victorious day! :-x

You can conquer your self-limiting doubts!
1155777_gold.jpg
Let us say that doubt is an absence of truth or light; there is some energy that is not purely in alignment with our inner truth.
One way to conquer the doubting mind is to have faith or belief that the mind can transcend the doubt-darkness that it is currently experiencing.

When we have self doubt or when we doubt others, we can pull forward our implicit faith or belief in ourselves and transformation will have begun. Our faith or belief must be held in our consciousness more than a few seconds at a time in order for transformation and manifestation to take place.

Where there is light, darkness disappears. We can bring to the fore our soul's light to illumine our doubts through concentration, visualization and/or meditation. Consciously install higher thoughts and ideals in your mind. By thinking, believing and acting as though you are free of your self-limiting doubts, you make it so - sooner or later.

Do not give up. Continue and Conquer! Conquer and Continue!
To your Victory!

Have you heard the story of a cocoon and the butterfly? It is thought to be an old Indian story, author unknown.
351349_limenitis_butterfly.jpg
As it is told, a man came across a cocoon and noticed an opening in the cocoon, so sat and watched for a few hours as the butterfly was attempting to free itself.

Feeling sorry for the butterfly, the man snipped open the cocoon in order to allow the butterfly to come out. His intentions were good, but the butterfly's wings were withered, it had no strength and so it could not fly.

The unfortunate man did not know that it was the way of nature to force the butterfly to work hard to free itself from its cocoon.
By struggling to free itself, it would strengthen and develop its wings for flight.

What struggles are you having now in your journey? Could it be that you are strengthening yourself so that you will be powerful enough to free yourself? Go through what you must go through, learning, growing, strengthening, developing your inner power, your Soul-Power!

You can free yourself from whatever kind of 'cocoon' you have spun around yourself, slowly, unerringly, gracefully - just like a butterfly!

To your freedom!

Over 200 years ago, one of our most beloved forefathers drafted the Declaration of Independence at the age of 33. Remarkable, to say the least.
189136_62608916.JeffersonMemorial.jpg
Jefferson Memorial
Click here to read the complete text
of the Declaration of Independence, completed on 4th July 1776.

In 1776, we must remember that there were only thirteen United States of America. Please click here to see a copy of the original Declaration of Independence. (roll over the thumbnail photo to magnify).

On the morning of July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson passed away.at the age of 83. With Jefferson's death, America lost not just one of its greatest statesmen, but one of its cultural leaders, a true Renaissance man. Law, diplomacy and politics were his profession, but his interests and passions were found in all the liberal arts and sciences: from mathematics and philosophy to economics, archaeology, ornithology, ichthyology, horticulture, architecture, art and music.

Celebrating true freedom and independence and remembering the contribution of Jefferson!!! Hope you are celebrating in your own way!!!

What does it take to create a 'Ho Hum Existence'?
On the other hand, what does it take to create a 'Life of Sparkling Brilliance'?

427912_44034666.yawn.jpg
Which would you prefer?
I can hear some of you say, "Well of course, a Ho Hum existence is far better. Why should I put myself out there? Who needs sparkling brilliance anyway? I would rather leave someone else in charge of all affairs."
489306_sparkling_beach.jpg
And yet others are saying, 'Wait a minute. A little 'Ho Hum' goes a long way. I will put myself out there for a little 'Sparkling Brilliance any day! A life of boredom and complacency - not me! I don't mind taking a little responsibility.'

Most of us will find ourselves somewhere in between.
Those who prefer the 'Ho Hum Existence' may be toying with shyness, laziness, limited thinking and an uninspired and unaspiring consciousness. This is a follower.

Those who prefer the 'Life of Sparkling Brilliance' are perhaps playing with curiosity, creativity, inspiration, aspiration and a never-give-up spirit. This is a leader.

Are you comfortable where you are? If so, do nothing.
For those feeling a little discomfort, sit up, take a deep breath and set your intention to take a baby step toward manifesting something that makes you feel better.
You can do it!
;)

"One extra degree of effort in business or in life separates the good from the great. It's your life; you are responsible for your results. To get what you have never had, you must do what you have never done. Watch your attitude, your kindness, your belief, your focus, your perseverance! Where in your life can you turn up your effort one degree??? ;) Rijuta Tooker Soul-Power Community

There is no failure, there is no success, there is only ever-transcending progress.

There is no one who can say, "I have had no failure in my life," or "I have had no success in my life." Each and every person has experienced both failure and success.

Every time we experience so-called failure, we are having a learning experience. We are learning what specifically works at this moment in time.

Every time we experience so-called success, we are inspired and encouraged to continue. We then have the courage to try something more, to perhaps step outside of even our new comfort zone.

Both failure and success are relative to where we are standing in the moment, what the person's experiential background is and what values are being measured.

Actually, in our inner world, when we view our failures and successes without the ego and in light of who we are becoming, we can say that there is no such thing as failure and success. There is only an ever transcending progress. What we fail at today we can use as a stepping stone to tomorrow's possible success.

So let us use the smallest failure of today and the smallest success of today as learning tools so that we can immediately continue to grow, to never give up, to invoke our creativity and to offer gratitude for the learning.

Both failure and success mean opportunity - an opportunity to learn, to grow and to become. What small success or failure did you experience today? Remember, there is no failure; there is no success - only ever-transcending progress!
:) ;)

The attitude of a winner leaves clues for others to follow. Each person wants to be a winner in at least one way and quite possibly, many ways.
ist1_2807197-good-news-travel-fast.jpg
Following are ten quotes from those considered to be winners:

1. “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” ~Zig Ziglar

2. “A quitter never wins and a winner never quits” ~Napoleon Hill

3. “The winner's edge is not in a gifted birth, a high IQ, or in talent. The winner's edge is all in the attitude, not aptitude. Attitude is the criterion for success” ~ Denis Waitley

4. “Winners make a habit of manufacturing their own positive expectations in advance of the event.” ~Brian Tracy

5. “Winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don't like to do” ~Albert Gray

6. “There are winners, there are losers and there are people who have not yet learned how to win.” ~Les Brown

7. “I believe there's an inner power that makes winners or losers. And the winners are the ones who really listen to the truth of their hearts.” ~Sylvester Stallone

8. Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision. ~Muhammad Ali

9. The most distinguishing feature of winners is their intensity of purpose. ~Alymer Letterman

10. Winning is about heart, not just legs. It's got to be in the right place. ~Lance Armstrong

Which one inspires you the most?
Add an inspiring quote of your own.

BELIEVE that you are a winner!!! :-D ;)

To the winner in you!!! :-x
