Many think that they are trusting their intuition and inner guidance but when I question them further, I find that most of the time they are not really trusting.

If one trusts something, then there is no doubt, no separation from that inner knowing. To trust is to follow and take action accordingly.

The more we trust and take appropriate action - whether that action is inner or outer - the more we are assured that "yes, I am able to trust and follow my intuition and inner guidance."

A simple example: last weekend I kept thinking of my cousin. I hadn't spoken with her in quite a few weeks but I simply did not pick up the phone. She continued to pop into my mind and I said to myself, "Ok, I will call her to see what's up."

I phoned her and she said, "I'm so happy that you phoned. I've been thinking of a career change and wanted to share a couple of ideas with you but I didn't want to bother you on your day off."

We all trust our intuition and inner guidance many times during the day but there are many occasions when we do not hear the whispers that come to us about important issues we have.

For those who do not nurture themselves with 'alone time' during the day, begin to set aside a few minutes of inner and outer silence just for yourself. You will be rewarded with peace and the developing capacity to understand what your inner guidance is trying to tell you. This is an important step to accessing your soul-power!

Would love to hear how you are doing!

For those who are feeling a bit scattered, light-headed, as if there is a disconnect with your daily efforts, or simply out of sorts and don't know why, perhaps you need to ground yourself.

Grounding oneself has to do with the base chakra, which serves to harmonize and balance us to the earth energies. As a yoga instructor and yoga therapist, I am always surprised to see how many persons need to ground themselves.

Last week I suggested two simple ways to my Soul-Power Community. Below are other suggestions. I invite you to experiment to see if one or more add to your life experience.

- Spend time out in nature
- Surround yourself with nature in your home with houseplants, flowers, herbs and pictures or photos on the walls
- Use the color red as an accent. This color is associated with the base chakra
- Meditate and begin by visualizing yourself in a natural setting such as forest, seaside, shells, sand, rocks
- Eat fresh vegetables and fruits
- Massage with essential oils that come from trees whose roots go deep into the earth
- Homemaking helps by caring for the home, the garden, the people in your life

The more grounded we are to the earth energies, the more easily we can access the higher vibrational energies.

Have a happy and grounded day!

Experiencing an emotion that is painful and does not feel good is motivation enough to learn to create a 'better feeling' emotion.

How do we do that?

- Allow yourself to feel your emotion.
- Name the emotion that you are experiencing. Accept responsibility for your emotion.
- Let go of your 'story' (who or what caused the emotion) but keep the emotion for now.
- Accept your emotion without judgement or resistance (what we resist persists).
- Ask, "What can I learn from this emotion?"
"What belief about myself allowed me to experience this emotion?"
- Replace your belief that caused the painful emotion ("He/she hates me!") with a 'better feeling' belief ("He/she is exhausted from working two jobs so I know it is not all about me." )

Not easy, but the process works!
Whenever an emotion appears that does not feel good, we can transform that painful emotion and belief into something that feels much better!

Practice makes perfect!

This morning I watched a video from YouTube called 'Peace from the Quantum Level'. In the video a quantum physicist, Dr. John Hagelin, spoke about 'creating peace' which was to me, totally fascinating! :O

Speaking eloquently and masterfully, Dr. Hagelin explained that what we need are many "peacemakers who develop their nervous systems to the point where they become lighthouses of peace, radiating peace."

We have all had the experience of being in a person's presence who has a strong 'peace' vibration or feeling about them. Of course, the reverse is true as well: strong emotions such as happiness, anger or depression are immediately noticeable in a person.

Dr. Hagelin went on to state that "consciousness is a field that we share". He explained masterfully a difficult concept with the following example. Even as sound expands in ripples out into all directions, so also does consciousness. The sound from one speaker gives us a certain amount of sound. The sound from two speakers placed close together, will give us 4 times the amount of sound as the one speaker did. The sound from three speakers placed close together, will give us 9 times the amount of sound as the one speaker did.

What are the implications from this knowledge?

The power of consciousness (i.e. in the form of prayer, meditation, intensive one-pointed thought) grows as the 'square of the number of people doing it together.'

Can we create peace? By having 3 or more people in close proximity concentrating on peace, feeling peace, becoming a vibrating conduit of peace, are we able to bring peace to that physical space?

Many say that we can.

What do you think/feel?

Dear BraveHearts, :-x

This morning I sent the following invitation to my Soul-Power Community. Couldn't resist sending it to you as it seems today is a day for DANCE! Having been a dancer with the Hartford Ballet Company, Modern Dance Troupe, I appreciate all forms of dance. Enjoy!

Embracing unity in sound and soul, this song incorporates pop vocals, Latin and World style drumming, a tribal choir and didgeridoo. This song sends a message...it's time to change the world! Written by Tam Katzin and Bronwyn Edwards Cryer. This song is dedicated to . . . all those brave souls [BRAVEHEART souls] standing up to sing their own song and share their love for world peace.”

Click on the following link from YouTube:

Rhonda Byrne of The Secret, offers the following message: "Every good thought, every good word, every good emotion, and every act of kindness, is lifting the vibration of your being to new heights. And as you begin to raise your vibration, a new life and a new world will reveal itself to you. There is no limit to how high you can increase your vibration, because there is no limit to the good thoughts you can think, or the good words you can speak, or the acts of kindness that you can do. Other than transforming your own life through lifting your vibration, you lift others' lives too. The positive vibration of your energy emanates out like a stone thrown into water, touching our planet and every living thing on it. As you rise higher, you take the world with you. The Secret Team has created a gift for you. This clip features our beautiful Planet Earth. As you experience this clip you will emit positive forces of energy across Planet Earth that will reach every single living thing on it. You will lift yourself, and as you lift yourself, you lift the entire world. From The Secret to you, here is Planet Earth - our home." Enjoy! Rijuta Tooker Soul-Power Community

Carrying too much on your shoulders, feeling overwhelmed and helpless because of your increasingly long list of 'things to do' and the burdensome events in your life?
67791_overworked_boy.overwhelmed.jpg

Dr. Charlie Drake, our mentor and coach
, feels very strongly that we should not allow ourselves to become overwhelmed or feel overwhelmed. He has much to share on the subject.

Below is a simple process that I do when I am feeling overwhelmed.

It only takes one minute - or if you need it, two minutes.

1. Sit with your eyes closed or focus on a point in front of you.
2. Inhale - slow, deep, relaxing breath.
3. Short pause
4. Exhale - slow, relaxing exhalation

Repeat at least three times, or until you feel relaxed and clear minded (not until you feel light-headed!)

Tip:
As you exhale, visualize or imagine all of the tension from your brain/body leaving as smoke, bubbles or butterflies through the top of your head, disappearing from your existence.

If you have difficulty with visualization, stand at your sink with a glass full of water.
After you exhale each time pour out some more of the water, until the glass (you) are emptied of tension.

If you feel overwhelmed at times, you are not alone.
We all have periods when we feel we cannot do one more thing.

Empower yourself! The brain/body needs to relax like any other muscle.
Do the exercise after you finish each project, once an hour, or as needed.
Whatever works for you is perfect.

Would love to know what works for you!

187602_woman_in_marble.jpgAlthough we honour our mothers on Mothers Day, the second Sunday in May in the USA, mothers everywhere occasionally enjoy a little inspiration to help fulfill their awesome role of motherhood.

Following are a few inspiring quotes. I hope you will feel that one or two inspire you! :)

1) My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her. - George Washington, U.S. President

2) Men are what their mothers made them. Ralph Waldo Emerson

3) The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness. Honore de Balzac

4) My mother had a slender, small body, but a large heart - a heart so large that everybody's joys found welcome in it, and hospitable accommodation. -Mark Twain

5) No gift to your mother can ever equal her gift to you - life. Author Unknown

6)Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. Author Unknown

7) She is my first, great love. She was a wonderful, rare woman - you do not know; as strong, and steadfast, and generous as the sun. She could be as swift as a white whiplash, and as kind and gentle as warm rain, and as steadfast as the irreducible earth beneath us.-D H Lawrence

8) When I stopped seeing my mother with the eyes of a child, I saw the woman who helped me give birth to myself.-Nancy Friday

9) The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother. Author Unknown

10) Who is it that loves me and will love me for ever with an affection which no chance, no misery, no crime of mine can do away? It is you, my mother.-Thomas Carlyle

Have you a quote you would like to add?

In the time-space that we now find ourselves in, we must remember to carry our personal light above all else. It must be to the fore at all times. We hear and see so much that is not 950935_trees_and_freedom_2.jpgillumining in our day-to-day lives that we need to protect ourselves from any and all darkness that may try to enter our consciousness.

How do we do that? Please feel and know that you carry within yourself much energy; we can call this energy 'light'. Imagine yourself as a divine warrior.
When something comes to disturb your peace, your consciousness, call up your inner sun, your light-energy and illumine the darkness with your light. You can utilize your inner sun, your energy light, your soul-power whenever you need it.
For example, suppose you are having negative thoughts about a particular person or situation. What to do? One way is to close your eyes if you can, take a refreshing deep breath and bring your light power, your soul energy from your heart up to your head.

Practice is necessary. You can do it. You must do it - for yourself and for everyone else.
I bow to the light in you.

Whether you want to have a loving, heartfelt and healthy family or an inspired, self-motivated and cohesive team, you can learn from the Geese. Watch this 2:17 video of geese on the 'fly'/job. Five things we can learn from geese: 1. Geese work together; they do not go it alone. 2. Geese cheer on the leader(s) by 'honking' encouragement. 3. Geese take turns leading and taking responsibility. 4. Geese nurture and care for the weak until they are strong. 5 Geese empower each other, thus empowering the team. How are you like the geese? How are you not like the geese? What can you learn from the geese? What can we learn from our BraveHeart Community? 'Fly' like the geese today! ;) Use your soul power! Have you heard the story of a cocoon and the butterfly? It is thought to be an old Indian story, author unknown.
351349_limenitis_butterfly.jpg
As it is told, a man came across a cocoon and noticed an opening in the cocoon, so sat and watched for a few hours as the butterfly was attempting to free itself.

Feeling sorry for the butterfly, the man snipped open the cocoon in order to allow the butterfly to come out. His intentions were good, but the butterfly's wings were withered, it had no strength and so it could not fly.

The unfortunate man did not know that it was the way of nature to force the butterfly to work hard to free itself from its cocoon.
By struggling to free itself, it would strengthen and develop its wings for flight.

What struggles are you having now in your journey? Could it be that you are strengthening yourself so that you will be powerful enough to free yourself? Go through what you must go through, learning, growing, strengthening, developing your inner power, your Soul-Power!

You can free yourself from whatever kind of 'cocoon' you have spun around yourself, slowly, unerringly, gracefully - just like a butterfly!

To your freedom!

:-x Soulful thoughts of you while travelling gave me such a joyful experience! :-x

Last Friday I left for Atlanta (Ellie Drake's 'old' home and Linda Holden's current home) to attend a conference connected to the work that I do as a Health and Life-Style Coach.

While there, for Saturday evening dinner, I was seated at a huge round table and there were two seats available. This very cute brother and sister joined us and we became immediate friends. My colleague and I chatted and chatted with the sister and brother for quite a while.

Then the brother, Hector, a marine, began telling me all about his two tours to Iraq, his two children and how his 14 year old daughter understands well, the concepts from the movie 'The Secret'. He spoke very passionately about his family's personal development.

When it was time to depart for the evening, he said, "You know I don't usually talk to someone I have just met like this but I felt comfortable - like we could have a soul-to-soul conversation."

I was so surprised to hear those words.
I said, "Hector, you're not going to believe this - I have a Community on line that is called 'Soul-Power Community'!"

His eyes and mouth opened wide and obviously could not believe what he had just heard. We both spontaneously hi-fived each other.

There are no coincidences. Soul-Power is something people can feel. I encourage you to be aware when your soul-power is to the fore.

Cheers to the soul-power of each of our BraveHeart Women! :-x

The video you are about to see is entitled: Peace in the Water - Visual Prayer for Whales and Dolphins

You can help to create a new world. We are all connected by the waters of the world. There are beings who live in the waters from whom we can learn much.

"It only takes a fraction of 1% of a population to tangibly shift the energy of a whole area . . . "What if… we could harness the energy of that fraction of 1% all around the world, and begin to consciously initiate change on planet earth — from the inside out? Peace in the Water co-founders Chip and Asheyana Richards (along with a rapidly growing “global POD”) believe that’s exactly why we’re here."

Bring Peace to the Water! :)
