It's been a few weeks since I've blogged. I've been on a heck of a journey in the past few weeks and have decided to tell you about it.

I'm 59 years old.

Last year, I made the decision to go on a 6 month nutritional cleanse to get down to those layers of cells that had not been touched before. My objective was not so much weight related as it was my health, I especially wanted to do this given my age. I wanted to go as deep as possible. I started in January of this year. My the end of April, I was feeling outstanding!

On May 2, I traveled to Ojai, CA to see/hear Bryon Katie and had a very interesting one on one session with her at the end of the day. Afterwards, I went to give her a big hug and she said, "I hope you let the sweetness out of you." It caught me off guard but made me realize that the only thing keeping me from doing that is fear. At that moment, I asked Spirit to help me remove those fears. I felt some of these fears came from somewhere unknown to me, not necessarily from this lifetime.

Without going into too much detail that may bore or scare you, I came home and began a MAJOR cellular change. I felt as though I was being erased and rebuilt... I had some fever and many struggles with myself in my sleep. My mind wanted the control but something bigger than me was saying, "no, not this time".
After many nights of some bizarre egoic struggle, I asked Spirit to take this struggle away and let me go through my changes in Peace.
All the struggles stopped.

This process started three weeks ago and I'm still going through changes on a daily basis. I'm grateful everyday for the changes.

My body cannot take in the foods it did before. I've completely lost any addiction to coffee. I used to eat almonds but cannot go near them now. I feed my body very little and in small doses. Half a shake in the morning, veggies and a couple of eggs for lunch, half a shake about 4 pm and the other half around 8. It's like I'm the Mom figuring out what the baby needs.

For all of us in this age bracket, I offer the following:

It was also pointed out to me that this is my "Saturn Return" year.
Saturn returns to the formation it was in when you were born and does so every 29.5 years so expect big changes every 29.5 years. Here's a good article:http://www.newage-directory.com/saturn.html

I didn't know whether I should post this because it's pretty personal but then again, it may not be. Anyone with a similar experience?

I've been reading Michael Bernard Beckwith's book, "Spiritual Liberation". I believe that he is channeling the Utmost energy and he doesn't mince words. (The Italics are his emphasis)

"Just as when an engineer builds an airplane and places its wings in a wind tunnel to assure that they are aerodynamically sound, so may we place aerodynamically sound questions in the wind tunnel of Universal Mind to assure that we will be lifted above the temporary experiences we pass through. For example, when a person falls into victim consciousness, they tend to ask, "Why me, God?" This is actually more of an accusation, a statement about our lack of self-responsibility wherein we blame conditions outside of ourselves. If we're an especially stubborn case, we don't investigate more deeply, so our experiences repeat themselves. This cycle will continue until we learn to ask more spiritually aerodynamic questions that will lift us out of the mist--the illusion--we've been living in. Examples of spiritually aerodynamic questions are: "What quality am I to cultivate to shift this circumstance in which I find myself? What skills am I being called to develop? What would Life have me do here?"

Negativity doesn't have a cause; it's merely a mist. If negativity had a cause, it would last forever; it could never be shifted. So-called negativity arises from the ego's sense of separation from the Whole. And not all pain is negative, even though we label all forms of pain as such and resist them. Positive-negativity is a circumstance that causes us to go deeper, to search ourselves, to stop placing blame on the causes of suffering outside of ourselves, and take self-responsibility.

Circumstances arise and hard times come so that we may grow through them, so that we may evolve, I like to say that a bad day for the ego is a good day for the soul. When we look back on some of our most challenging experiences, we admit that we wouldn't trade what we gained from them for remaining the same as we were. Something within acknowledges that during those times when we are pressed against the ropes of life, we learn to become more generous, to forgive, to never give up on ourselves or others. We learn to rejuvenate, to surrender.

SURRENDER: THE STANCE OF THE SPIRITUAL WARRIOR
Surrender is a bold spiritual stance, the stance of a spiritual warrior, because what we are surrendering to is the next stage of our evolution. And as we surrender our all we create the inner spaciousness for Life to be seen as it is. As egoic obscurations--such as doubt, fear, worry, self-importance, greed, and envy--are cleared, we become more and more of our Authentic Self." Michael Bernard Beckwith
