As a psychotherapist, I often work with people who have no real clue of their own worth and brilliance. A friend shared this story with me and thought it would be a great post. Regardless of your religious back ground, there is a powerful truth here...
Enjoy!
From The Wise Heart by Jack Kornfield:
In a large temple north of Thailand's ancient capital, Sukotai, there once stood an enormous and ancient clay Buddha. Though not the most handsome or refined work of Thai Buddhist art, it had been cared for over a period of five hundred years and become revered for its sheer longevity. Violent storms, changes in government, and invading armies had come and gone, but the Buddha endured.
At one point, however, the monks who tended the temple noticed that the statue had begun to crack and would soon be in need of repair and repainting. After a stretch of particularly hot, dry weather, one of the cracks became so wide that a curious monk took his flashlight and peered inside. What shone back at him was a flash of brilliant gold! Inside this plan old statue, the temple residents discovered one of the largest and most luminous gold images of Buddha ever created in Southeast Asia. Now uncovered, the golden Buddha draws throngs of devoted pilgrims from all over Thailand.
This story moved me because it reminded me of how often we live behind masks or under protective layers that hinder our true essence and authentic beauty from shining forth and touching others.
I hope and pray that each and every day, BraveHeart Women will make a conscious decision to remove our protectve outer layers and let our brilliance shine through to make a powerful impact on all those around us.
I have always been fascinated with the idea of the Trinity...three distinctively different personalities (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) with distinctive responsibilities operating together as One. Based on biblical truths, mankind was created in the very image of the Trinity or God. We have a body, a mind, and a spirit. The purpose of being made in the image of the Trinity, was and is for the purpose of being like God...whole and complete.
Over the years in working with thousands of clients, I noticed that most of them were deeply wounded and broken due to a lack of understanding of their created being. Although the concept of the body, mind and spirit is often talked about in religion and the medical, spa and wellness industry, I think we rarely hear conversations about its true depth and meaning. Again, while in my MFT program, I had another experience that helped me deeply understand the power of the body, mind, and spirit connection.
Ultimately, those of us in the field of healing and helping want to empower others to be and live whole and well. As one of my professors talked about the body, mind, and spirit connection, I started to visualize three distinctive pieces equally spaced apart. Each piece had one of the words body, mind and spirit written in it. The more I focused on the pieces, I more I felt something was wrong. They all seemed out of place. Upon that realization, the pieces started to move together creating a very distinctive image...the peace sign. An AHA moment! I then realized that in order for us to be completely at peace, we must understand the importance of focusing on our body, mind and spirit.
Unfortunately, very few of us rarely pay attention to all three parts of our being. Our bodies are out of shape, we are often tired, have low or no energy, exercise on occasion and eat poorly. As for our minds, we tend to be disconnected from our emotions and/or thoughts (the idea of being consciously aware of what we feel and think can sometimes be frightening). I think this may be where we get the quote, "Ignorance is bliss." And as for our spirits, without having some kind of knowledge or understanding about spirituality, many of us seem to be clueless about what that really means. This realization began a very powerful journey in helping me understand the powerful connection between the body, mind and spirit.
I wondered, what would happen if all of us became intentional about taking care of all three parts of ourselves? I wondered if we would be more successful, happy, healthy, and at peace? I truly believe so!
I want to encourage you to take sometime to reflect upon how often you pay attention to the total you. How are you taking care of your body? What are you eating, drinking and doing with and to your body? You are so important and valuable to this world's existence. You matter! Focus on staying healthy.
Also, do you allow yourself time to connect and honor your thoughts and feelings regardless of whether they are good or bad? Or, do you avoid them at all cost?
Your emotions are so important to you being and living outrageously well. Remember, your body and mind, specifically, are powerfully connected. If your body is not well, then your mind is probably not well either.
As for your spirit, please allow me to give you my interpretation. First, the definition of spirit is "breath of life." Based on that definition, your spirit is the essence of your existence...it is what gives you life. That said, I see the spirit as having a two-fold purpose.
First, your spirit has a powerful connection to God. Remember the saying we're spiritual beings in physical bodies? Oh, how true! Whatever your faith or belief is, allow yourself time to connect to your spirit often in order to strengthen and empower the essence of you.
Second, I believe your spirit is a true representation of your personality, characteristics, likes and dislikes, etc. The more you allow yourself to connect to your spirit, the higher quality of life and existence you will experience.
To bring this all together, when you become intentional about taking care of the total you, you will experience peace.
As Ellie often says and I FULLY agree, ~ Peace in!
Mark Twain said, "I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened." When I first read this quote I laughed because it so reflected the truth and wisdom of knowing that worrying about the past or fearing the unknown of the future, in truth, is pointless. You can't change your past and the fears of the future may never even come to pass. So the ultimate goal is, learn to live in the moment!
Living in the moment means, living like there is no tomorrow, laughing until it hurts, and loving fully and from the depths of your soul. Be here now. Be fully present with your body, soul and spirit.
Did you know that your soul consist of three parts? Your mind (what you think), your will (how you behave) and your emotions (what you feel). When you live from each part of your soul working together in unison, you'll have peace!
Each day make a conscious decision to be here now. I love this phrase "be here now" because it reminds me of the mall directories with a red dot showing that "YOU ARE HERE!" This dot gives you an exact location of where you stand. From that vantage point, you can see everything if you'll just stop and be.
Good morning my dear BraveHeart Sisters,
Ok, I'm not one who is impressed by our current pop culture, but a friend of my forwarded this video called "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus and for some reason it just seemed appropriate to share it with all of you today.
Keep Climbing and Live Outrageously Well,
Anita
I'm on vacation this week ~ YA HOO. This gives me a few moments to be still and listen to my spirit and soul. That said, I woke up this morning thinking about the lessons I've learned in taking a leap of faith on a few things. I hope you'll allow me to share them with you.
The most commonly used meaning for a leap of faith is the act of believing in something, or in spite of, evidence.
Lesson 1:
As strange as this may sound, one of the most powerful lessons I've learned in my leap of faith is I have more strength and courage than I originally thought. In taking my leap of faith, I had to learn, at a much deeper level, what it means to be committed to my OWN success. As women, we are often indirectly "encouraged" to promote the success and wellness of others and there is nothing wrong with that. However, if we are not well and successful within our own right, we begin to feel this sense of hollowness...like something is missing. I've learned that my wellness and success will and can be a directly connected to the success of those around me and because of that, my authentic wellness and success is essential.
I found this quote that I really like. It supports the idea of commitment and taking that leap of faith:
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now". Philosopher Goethe
Lesson 2:
Taking a leap of faith toward your dreams and goals can bring about clarity and maturity. Why, because you are being stretched to expand and improve your way of thinking, feeling and behaving.
Now, more than ever before, is the time for all of us to become very clear about who we are and what we want out of life. As I study those who are outrageously successful, one aspect that all of them have in common is clarity of purpose...they know for certain who they are and what they want.
In recent months (especially since joining BraveHeart Women), I've noticed that the more clear and intentional I was about something, the faster it manifested. Boy, how I wish I knew this early on in my life...but as my mother says, "Better late than never."
BraveHeart Sisters, today my heart and spirit is on fire for your success.
Are you taking FULL advantage of the wisdom and information being provided here to all of us everyday? Are you watching BraveHeartTV, reading the blogs, participating regularly in the communities you've joined? If not, do so now.
Use the information given here to make the necessary changes in your thought life, feelings and actions/behaviors and allow yourself to be stretched and transform. Side note: Did you know that the word transform means to change in structure, appearance, and character? That basically means, who you are externally and internally can be improved because you are allowing yourself to grow....or RISE(go to the next level ~ my little plug to encourage you to go to RISE ).
Don't just merely read the information given by our amazing BraveHeart leaders and sisters, study it, process it, talk about it. The more you teach something you've learned here, the stronger it will become inside you and make powerful changes in your life.
As a Core Inner Circle member, I have the privilege of listening to several core mastermind calls and as of recently, the Prosperity Hormone (PH) calls. As a mentee in the PH Mentoring Program, Ellie has recorded morning and evening affirmations to help us become more intentional in developing and increasing our PH.
While listening to the morning affirmations, I got stuck on one affirmation: "Congruence ~ The Universe has a huge ear with which it picks up congruence in thoughts and therefore aligned intentions. The Universe prefers to hear harmony and rewards it. I choose to cooperate with the Universe." As I listened to her affirmation a few times, I became fascinated the with word harmony.
As a therapist, I rarely see clients start therapy in harmony; however, it is my hope and prayer that by the time they terminate, they are in full harmony ~ body, soul and spirit.
What is harmony?
Harmony is such an amazing word. Its actual definition is: a musical agreement of sounds, a pleasing arrangement of parts, internal calm. After reading the definition, I realized that our body, soul and spirit should be an agreement of sound (definition: not dis-eased or sickly), a pleasing arrangement - something that brings a feeling of pleasure, and calm - serene.
That said, harmony is the experience of having horizontal and vertical connectedness with God, the Universe, ourselves and others ~ all dimensions of life working together for my/our highest good. In addition, harmony is internal and external connectedness in action. Meaning, we should be doing something everyday in our body, soul and spirit that brings about and promotes harmony.
Spiritual development is an individual expression of our faith and belief in something greater than ourselves. What do you believe in and are you pursuing spiritual harmony regularly?
As I continue to learn about the PH, I am coming to understand that it is formed, increased and manifested when I am internally, externally, horizontally and vertically in harmony with all that is. This realization holds me accountable to the parts of myself that I know I'm not in complete harmony with.
I encourage you to join me in a challenge. For the next 30 days, I want you to pursue harmony and report back on your experience. Do whatever you need to do to connect to and develop your self spiritual harmony. Even without being a member of the Core Inner Circle, you can begin to increase the manifestation of living your life abundantly and outrageously well. However, if you want to expedite your experience, I recommend that you join the Core Inner Circle immediately and together let's get in harmony!
Over the past three years and especially the past three months, I have had this strange feeling that something is about to change. Coming from a very religious family, I have learned to keep my world very organized and structured. In some way this has been beneficial, however, in many other ways this has also been detrimental.
A few days ago feeling exhausted from moving into our new office, presenting at several conferences, teaching and seeing clients, I had what I call a "mini emotional pity party" (sorry Déjà - just need one, I know you will understand - LOL ). I was tired. I could literally feel the energy draining from my body...I needed a vacation. Being a woman wanting my words and actions to match (I can't tell my clients to be well if I'm not doing it); I took a week off to get back to the basics and personal truth.
I returned to work on Wednesday to find that my day had been scheduled with back-to-back clients until 9:30 p.m. This caused me to miss listening to the Prosperity Hormone call. Now, it's Thursday and boy what a day.
Side note: Don't laugh, but for some strange reason, I often receive major revelations when in the ladies room. Yesterday, I finally had a few moments to listen to the Prosperity Hormone call and was moved by the idea of connecting to energy. Well, while in the ladies room, I had an aha moment - a light bulb went on and I got a deeper revelation regarding God, the Universe and our energy, which caused me to rewrite one of my affirmations. This little experience set the foundation for the rest of the evening.
Last night, it was really hot! There was no way around it; I had to turn on the air-conditioner. After about an hour, all the lights in my community went out. It was pitch dark! I couldn't see anything.
With Jack by my side (my little hero), I slowly went in search of a flashlight. Finally finding my way to the "catch all drawer," I started feeling around for the flashlight. After a few moments, I picked up a light bulb and immediately it started to flicker as if it was going to turn on. "What?" I put the light bulb down and picked it up again...more flickering. Bewildered and in complete awe, I did this a few more times, just to make sure I wasn't crazy, and every time the light bulb flickered - weak, but flickering none-the-less.
I then cried out to God and said, "Ok God, I need light." Suddenly, car lights lit up my kitchen giving me enough time to see and grab the flashlight. As soon as my hand touched the flashlight, the car lights turned off. With flashlight in hand, I started lighting candles. A few moments later, my house was illuminating with a beautiful glow of amber and I'm safe from the darkness.
Deciding to just sit and enjoy the glow of the candles, Jack and I headed toward the living room and suddenly I felt the need to just stop and breathe. As if on cue, I promise, it felt as if my house was taking a breath with me and upon the exhale I strongly and loving heard, "Everything is going to be all right." Instantly, I knew this meant more than the lights being off. It was God's and the Universe's way of telling me that I was moving into the next level. Taking a breath and again, as if on cue, all the lights came on. I sat down for a few moments and just thought about what just happened.
I woke up this morning, grabbed the light bulb - just to see what would happen and NOTHING! I smiled!
I share this with you today in the hopes that while you are in the midst of doing life, dealing with challenges, and trying to stay above water, take many moments to become very conscious of and about God, the power of the Universe and this life-giving energy force that is already inside you.
When we make conscious, mindful decisions to be in whatever moment we're in, something good can always come forth. My flicker of light in that moment of darkness last night taught me a powerful lesson. When I am caught up in doing life rather than being and living life, I put forth weak energy. Although weak energy can make a difference, I wonder what would have happened to that light bulb if I had truly been connected to God, the energy of the Universe and my authentic self?
At this very moment, there is great POWER and energy inside you ready to give you what you need. Stop, close your eyes, center in, take a deep breath and say, "I trust God and the Universe to (fill in the blank)" and live outrageously well.
Thanks Ellie and Dr. Sugar for reminding me/us what energy can do for us, how to reconnect to it and let it light our path.
Hello my BraveHeart Sisters. It's been a while and I've truly missed you .
The past few months have been a whirlwind. So many things to do with so little time to do it in. Yet, I'm grateful that God and the Universe have a strange way of slowing us/me down and teaching us/me some valuable lessons.
Two weeks ago, while preparing for church, I hurt my back royally. I haven't been in that much pain since a car accident I had years ago. I was literally stuck in the bent position for a few days. Once I saw the doctor, I was told that it would probably take another week to heal and that I shouldn't work. Stunned, I reluctantly took a week off from work. I'm slowing recovering and somewhat mobile now. It's nice to be able to stand up straight again. You never know how important something is until it's taken away. Being well is truly a blessing and a gift. Unfortunately, circumstances and the chaos of life often cause us to forget this truth.
Lesson 1: Remembering the power of being grateful
As I stated earlier, while temporarily disabled I learned some very valuable lessons. My first lesson was on gratitude. It became abundantly clear that I had taken my ability to move and my physical health for granted. Although I was doing all the right things, I've come to realize that sometimes the "right" thing(s) may not always be right. Being busy doesn't necessarily mean I'm successful. I realized that I was working hard at completing tasks, instead of working smart and focusing on those activities that align with my values and beliefs. It later hit me that I had fallen back into the adrenaline mode of working. This realization helped me really understand and solidify what I've been learning from the Prosperity Hormone Mentoring Program. Thanks Ellie and Dr. Sugar.
Lesson 2: Inconsistency kills the soul and spirit.
I am a firm believer of positive affirmations, prayer and meditation, and any activity that supports holistic wellness. When one doesn't feel well or is anxious, worried, hopeless, helpless or alone, we tend to neglect ourselves. This week proved that inconsistency can negatively affect your mood, thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Being "busy" interfered with my wellness routine - there was always something else to do. This distraction drained my very being. Once I was made to be still, the effects of my inconsistency really manifested. I dishonored my soul and spirit by focusing on the wrong things.
Lesson 3: Learning from the Question Why
It was also during my stillness that I learned a powerful lesson in asking why? The first few days, I noticed that everything around me had turned negative. Things were good, however, the energy from family, friends, clients and the world had shifted somehow without me noticing or, if I'm honest, too busy to pay attention. In my questioning why, I realized that these things were becoming "normal" "acceptable" "a part of life." Again, being busy had allowed me to accept the status quo and let things be as they were. My acceptance motivated my busyness as a way to distract myself from what was really going on around me. Asking why helped me repent, if you will, refocus and start over.
In a few days, RISE will be here and I'm so excited. This will be my opportunity to get refocused, connect to other like-minded sisters, gain powerful truths that will help me RISE to the level and follow my own authentic truth.
For my sisters unable to attend RISE, this doesn't mean you can't create your own opportunity to reconnect to your authentic self and rise to your next level of internal and external success. The resources within this community can definitely point you in the right direction. Use them to help you find you and
I'm sure many of us can never fully share what an amazing experience we had at RISE ~ we have truly been transformed.
While at the BraveHeart RISE Awards, Les Brown spoke powerfully about living fully and dying empty. I woke up this morning thinking about this powerful truth. May you be encouraged, empowered and inspired to your highest action.
Live Outrageously Well NOW! Anita
Are you getting this? Have you noticed that a shift has taken place in the hearts and minds of women everywhere, especially within BraveHeart women? I sure hope so.
Listen, my amazing BraveHeart sisters,
Ellie, Dr. Sugar and the BraveHeart Team have spiritually opened up a powerful energetic force that, if you're intentional and mindful of it, is causing a movement or my word "a flow" that can literally transform the very core of your being and existence.
In my last blog, I talked about setting Right Intentions and today Debra Hadraba in her blog, "Observing the Thought" talked about helping you center in, get focused, and become clear and committed to the now process of living.
These truths set before are you intentional in helping you be and live outrageously well AND, I believe to prepare you in becoming powerful amazing agents of change to this lost and dying world. The fullness and greatness of you as a woman is needed. I know you heard what the Dalai Lama said, "The world will be saved by the western woman." I believe it will be ALL women who will save the world, but western women will open the door. WOW, what an amazing call to action. Are you listening?
I know we've talked a great deal about RISE, and rightfully so. It was AMAZING. RISE made it clear to me that women who are in search of authentic truth, abundant life and peace, complete and total healing (despite internal and external challenges) in their body, soul and spirit, MUST soulishly and spiritually get on this wave of new beginnings set before us through this community. It is our DESTINY.
Ok...let me tell you why I'm SO excited.
Since RISE, I've been DETERMINED to get to RELEASE with Dr. Sugar because I KNOW it's my time to be FULLY released. Yet, little crazy things keep popping up trying to distract me from my intention and goal. In truth, it's been really frustrating. However, in the midst of these little frustrating moments, powerful awarenesses keep coming up causing me to breath, settle down, and connect to what's absolutely real (side note: remember, your body and external problems are not really real). When I do this, connect to what's real - my authentic truth, purpose and meaning, obstacles move and abundance comes forth. I was given funds to purchase my ticket to RELEASE. I'm GOING! YAHOOOO! (Linda, I'll send my info soon ).
This gift is another confirmation to me that 2010 will be an amazing year for all of us and especially those "getting" this.
It is my deepest heart's desire that all of us would join Ellie, Dr. Sugar and this team and move mountains personally and professionally.
My heart and confidence is in you and your destiny,
Live Outrageously Well,
Anita
I'm singing, "I'm going to RELEASE. I'm going to RELEASE." HE HE HE!
WOW! OH MY GOSH! To all my amazing BraveHeart sisters, you've got to RELEASE.
I just got back from participating in the BraveHeart RELEASE Program with Ellie and Dr. Sugar. In all honesty, mere words will NEVER be able to adequately express the transformational process and experience that I and other BraveHeart sisters have gone through while attending RELEASE.
In layman's terms, RELEASE is a cellular process of letting go of EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, that has physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually hurt and hindered you from living your life abundantly, richly, authentically, and outrageously well. At this moment, I feel light, free, grounded and alive! I want this for you too!
As a marriage and family therapist, the process of releasing past traumas and experiences at the cellular level is crucial and a must in order to be internally and externally balanced. Your body, soul and spirit requires you to set every intention you can toward participating in this program. I promise your LIFE will thank you immediately!
If you'll allow me a few more moments, let me tell you the beginnings of my journey.
When RELEASE was presented at RISE, I immediately set my intention to attend; however, I assumed that I would be attending in February of 2010. But, God and the Universe had other plans...THANK GOD!
I have to admit, several challenges came up that almost prevented me from attending. However, I knew that challenges like these only come up when I'm doing something right. These little obstacles became my confirmation that I was meant to attend. Setting my intention even stronger, I attended.
Now, it's your turn to RELEASE.
The next RELEASE is in December. Do yourself and your life a favor....go and RELEASE!
Hello my amazing BraveHeart Sisters. Boy have I missed you! 2010 has begun and with it has come some interesting truths and January is not even over yet.
As I set my soul intentions for 2010, I was determined to have a transformational year from the inside out. I had learned too much. It was time to now implement those truths. The things that held me back in 2009 were no longer allowed to influence my future. I had intented that only the present affects my future and I am in control of all my present moment experiences. Then, WHAM, my first challenge arose.
For years I've worked in the college system as a counselor and as a professor. I love inspiring and empowering others. After years of dedication to this field and my university, I was informed that over 250 positions were being terminated state-wide in June which included my position. YIKES!!!
My first human response was panic and believe me, I did. All the normal typical questions ran through my head: "I just bought a house. Now what am I going to do?" "We just started our own business and it's not strong enough to care me financially." Blah blah blah! The questions kept coming and if I had let them continue, I'm sure they would have completely killed my vision, spirit and intentions. Yet, something happened and I felt this kick deep inside my being (and on my behind...lol...) as if trying to get my attention. Then suddenly, drop! I felt the essence of my soul get fully grounded and then pushed deep into the spirit of Mother Earth inside me who lovingly demanded that I stand my ground and declare my truth. It was moving!!!
I felt my chest rise up, my shoulders fall back, and my eyes gaze toward God and all that is before me and with all the love I can call forth I said, "Here I stand, I know who I am and I will not be moved." Tears started to stream down my face as I knew that I would not let fear or false truths tell me what was the absolute truth. My absolute truth is God is with me. My faith in God, the Universe and myself will cause me to brilliantly overcome. Life is filled with possibilities and I receive those that are right for me always.
Once grounded and then deeply rooted in my spiritual and soulish truth, I started to feel peace and the breath of life moving and flowing through me.
My hope for you today is, when things become challenging, remember what you know is absolutely truth and let that truth ground you. Stay rooted in your authentic truth. For when the winds blow, and they will, you may sway, but you will NOT fall!
Since graduating with my doctorate in 2007, I have been on a journey to understand why certain people are successful and others are not. This journey has led me to interesting truths some of which I already knew and others I had never considered before. One truth that has become the bedrock to my own transformation, and hopefully that of my clients, is understanding the power of having the right mindset. Whether you're aware of it or not, your mindset, formed by your childhood and current experiences, powerfully shapes your thought patterns and your behaviors, which as you know, will ultimately shape your life.
As I read books, listened to literally hours of audio recordings, webinars and teleconferences, as well as being a conference addict, one thing became abundantly clear. Success, of any form, is strongly dependent upon your mindset. In simpler terms, your beliefs, values, character and habits will either create and manifest success in your life or do just the opposite and bring failures. This fascinated me as another truth emerged from this journey. Successful people have very different beliefs, values, habits AND conversations than the average person when it comes to creating the type of life they want, internally and externally. You know this, but do you understand or have true wisdom about this truth. Knowing and understanding are two different things. From my perspective, knowing is having a good grasp of information or facts. Yet, understanding is having a deep inner truth or wisdom that brings peace or abundance.
I’m excited about what is happening within BraveHeart and Ellie and Dr. Sugar’s passion about helping women globally raise their prosperity hormone. We can all use more money right about now. I’m in full agreement and looking forward to seeing what women will do when they/we are full and release ourselves to change the world. Yet, I also hope that as they deliver powerful truths regarding prosperity and take us on this amazing journey, that we will honor their teachings by preparing ourselves mentally, emotionally, spiritually and behaviorally for this next shift taking place.
BraveHeart sisters, if your mindset is based on external prosperity, research says that the likelihood of maintaining it, whatever “it” is, is pretty slim. Want proof? Look at those who received or won a great deal of money and you’ll see that within a few years and sometimes even months, they are back in the same financial position they were in before the money arrived. Why? Their wealth or prosperity mindset had not been fully developed.
It is my hope that we as women and sisters will take full advantage of what we are learning and receiving from this amazing community.
Preparing Your Mindset for Prosperity:
I am forever telling my clients that their subconscious mind has more power in their life than their conscious mind. That said, the first step in preparing your mindset for prosperity is evaluating what your subconscious mind is thinking. How? For one week, write done every thought you have about wealth, money, prosperity and abundance. At the end of the week, evaluate whether it is negative or positive. If negative, then inundate yourself with positive truths, cds, affirmations, books, etc on the topic or better yet, find a good therapist or coach to help you break down those hindering thoughts. Research says it takes 14-21 days to create or change a habit, but only if you are consistent…that’s the key ~ consistency.
As strange as this may sound, get rid of all clutter. Make room, whether internally or externally for wealth and prosperity. How I did this was by meeting with my CPA and finally getting all my accounts in order. Learned something interesting from this task. By not keeping accurate track of my finances, I didn’t realize that I had more wealth than I thought but poor money habits had me spending money on things that didn’t show my wealth. One of my mentors encouraged me to see how long I could hold $100 without spending it. What a challenge!! I learned that if I didn’t have the available money, I probably didn’t need it. Lesson learned!
Define and then visualize wealth! If you can define wealth, then you can visualize it. We all know how powerful visualizations are and how they work. Enough said.
My new truth about money is ~ money is energy! Never thought about money that way. What you put out, comes back. Are you sending out money for the right reasons? Many of us use money to fulfill an emotional need, which may explain why women seem to always be broke. It is time to learn a healthier way to meet our emotional needs.
And finally,
Remember that wealth and prosperity is your birthright and within your physical being.
I encourage you to participate in the Prosperity Hormone calls, change your mindset and get ready for a new way of thinking, be-ing and living.
As you all may remember, Orange County, California experienced several wildfires destroying an estimate of over $59.2 million in property damages starting from 2007 - 2009. One fire that particularly caught my attention was the fire in Brea, CA. Over 10 acres of brush off the 57 fwy in Brea, CA was totally destroyed. I know that freeway all too well. I have traveled that stretch of freeway to and from school and work for the past 13 years. I always enjoyed this drive because of the beautiful, green, lush and rolling mountains on both sides of the freeway. My last memory of that stretch of freeway was seeing it completely burned, black and dead. It was a true heart break. Something so beautiful and free was now gone. Since that time, I now only use the 57 fwy at night, never having to see the devastation left behind by the fires. In truth, I had forgotten how majestic the mountains were, until this weekend.
This past weekend I had an early morning meeting in Orange County, which meant that I had to drive the 57 fwy in order to get to my destination and to my deepest surprise I saw the most amazing thing....the mountains were full, green, lush, feeding life (a few cattle were grazing the fields), and living once again. Instantly my heart jumped for joy and all I could say was, "You did it!" "You defeated death and are living again." "Mother Earth, you won! Thank you!" I realized later how appropriate my statements were being that it was Easter/Resurrection weekend.
Principles to the Power of the Circle of Life
All day long I kept reflecting on that scenery and how alive the mountains were. I was deeply, spiritually moved by this experience. Why? Well, I realized that this was the first time I actually saw the power of the circle of life in full affect. It caused me to realize a truth that we all know, but often are too busy and/or distracted to remember.
Principle Number One:
Despite the challenges, disappointments, hurts and losses we may have had or are currently experiencing, the essence of life has been designed by God and the Universe to LIVE. That stretch of earth along the 57 fwy still knew its purpose despite what happened to it.
One of my favorite quotes is, “We are all spiritual beings living in a human body having human experiences, which often interferes with our spiritual truth.” I so agree. I also believe that within everyone’s spirit is a divine plan and purpose to our true existence. Regardless of our past or what has happened/happening to us, our spirit STILL holds the absolute truth to our design, purpose and destiny. As you seek to know your divine purpose, the essence of life within you will cause you to live, if you'll surrender and allow it to naturally follow its design.
Principle Number Two:
In knowing who you are and your divine purpose ~ BE determined to LIVE. The grass, trees, and mountains near the 57 fwy, knew it HAD to live again in order to sustain the life force all around it, directly or indirectly. There were no questions asked, or doubts, or the need to get advice or permission from something or someone else in order for it to live again. The earth just knew its purpose and did was it was designed to do. I think there’s a HUGE lesson from this truth. BE DETERMINED TO LIVE!
Principle Number Three:
Remember, what has died can live again. It may not look or feel exactly as before, but nine times out of ten, what manifests out of death or a loss is usually better. At the core of this principle lies the power of understanding the power of our choices.
We all know that what we focus on, manifests. Choose to live, to be happy, to be successful and to be well.
The sacred truth to the power of the circle of life is ~ everything is connected to everything and all things must do what it has been designed to do…LIVE.
My Dear BraveHeart sisters, here's my challenge:
Do not just live for the purpose of “living”. In truth, that’s just existing. LIVE according to your divine authentic purpose which is grounded in and based upon what YOU define as true. If your current truth is not manifesting life-giving experiences and opportunities, than change your truth! Remember, your authentic truth is free of everything.
