Ladies,
I had a lot of fun telling you about my Inn'er Power Find and Fit 60! :^O I have really enjoyed joining a computer social networking site like Facebook, but I really wasn't paying attention on much time I was spending there. Sometimes I would intend to only go on just to check something and then I would find myself there for the next 90 minutes. Ok know, I still got work to do!

The other night I was sitting on the couch, laptop on lap and was chatting on FB. My son grabbed his blanket, cozied up right next to me, got out his laptop and we both were Facebooking together at the same time. :O

Ok, I came to the conclusion that this wasn't going to work for me. So I decided to set some limits for myself, 60 minutes a week only!! Guess what, it's working out great. Now I even look forward to my 60 minutes like I look forward to getting cards on my birthday!

Another thing I wanted to mention is while I am on my weekend catch up calls, I usually have them on speaker while I am sweeping, folding clothes or putting clothes away! I enjoy spending time with my family and feel more empowered when I find extra time to nourish and cultivate them!

I look forward to telling you about my Inn'er Power Find and Fit 10.

Hi Braveheart Sisters!

Decorating a room from the floor up is the way to go when you are re-modeling a room. But sometimes a room just needs to be nourished and cultivated to! Paint is very in-expensive and it can give the room a face-lift with a new color and refreshed woodwork. B-) Being able to handle this project on my own brings me Inn'er Power!

My simple approach to painting is to use the mini-rollers with an extended rod and angle brushes. The mini-rollers are super simple, light and they don't soak up a lot of paint. You can even put an extension rod into the end and never have to get on a ladder except for cutting in. I fell off a ladder one time and I never want that to happen again. I have found the angle brushes to be the absolute best in cutting in and have eliminated the need for painters tape. That is a huge time savings!:-D Don't buy the cheap angle brushes! You get what you pay for here!

Tip #1 ;) To make your paint go farther, add water. I put on a good first coat and add water to the gallon. Add as you go, you don't want it to thin. Paint tends to get a little sticky as its exposed to the air.

Tip #2 ;) If you run out of time and don't complete the job, DON'T wash out your brushes or rollers! Just double bag them in a plastic grocery bag and put them in the refrigerator. As long as they are moist then can stay in there an unlimited amount of time. Currently I am repainting all the doors in my home (which is going to take weeks) and I have not washed out my brushes once! This saves a lot of time energy and paint! (This goes the same for faux sponges or rags.)

Tip#3 ;) Last but not least, get a jelly jar or small tupperware bowl and fill it up with paint and label it. I keep this in my laundry room for quick touch ups when the kids mark up the walls. I really don't like having to go out to the garage/barn and go thru all the left over gallons of paint just to do touch up on the wall.
(Remember I like to paint!)

Cheers, to your Inn'er Power!

Hello Friends,
Have any of you considered changing the cleaning products in your home from toxic to non-toxic. I would love to share with you my SIMPLE APPROACH to cleaning with non-toxic products.:-D

You can keep your home just as clean for much less money, safeguard your personal health, and even protect the environment by going back to the basics.:^O Doesn't that feel EMPOWERING?

Chlorine Bleach: What Are the Alternatives?
Chlorine bleach is one of the oldest cleaners. It's also one of the harshest. Chlorine bleach kills germs on contact, and isn't much friendlier to your skin, if accidentally splashed. Manufacturers include chlorine bleach in a wide variety of cleaning products as well as some laundry and dishwasher detergents.

Bleach is also renowned for its mold-killing ability, but it's not the only way to kill mold and mildew. Hydrogen peroxide or vinegar also works to kill mold. I recently heard that the acid in grapefruit juice is a mold killer and it is definitely kinder on the nose!

Ammonia: Avoiding Hazardous Fumes
Want a clue to ammonia's hazardous properties? Consider its well-known harsh smell. Undiluted ammonia is highly irritating to the eyes and respiratory system. Because it does everything from cutting through grease to cleaning windows, ammonia is found in a wide range of conventional cleaning products. There are other ways to clean that are just as effective.

Non-toxic Solution
Look for "green" and non-toxic cleaners that don't contain chlorine, alchohols, triclosan, triclocarbon, lye, glycol ethers, or ammonia. Choose ones that say "petroleum-free," "90% biodegradable in 3 days," or "phosphate-free."
Choose safer products that say "petroleum-free," "biodegradable," "phosphate-free," "VOC-free," and "solvent-free."

General Non-toxic Solutions:
Use a reusable microfiber cloth to dust -- it picks up dust particles without needing any chemical help.
White distilled vinegar can be used to clean windows; kill mold and mildew; get rid of soap scum; and sanitize kitchen counters and cutting boards.
Use baking soda and a few drops of soap to scour kitchen counters and bathtubs. For tough stains, use borax.
For fresh scents, use lemons or essential oils like lavender.
Try these recipes for homemade cleaners:

Household Cleaner
Instructions
All-Purpose Disinfecting Cleaner
2 cups water (preferably distilled water)
1 1/2 to 3 tsp. liquid castille soap
1 tsp. tea tree oil
Mix ingredients above to store and keep. Add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil to give it a pleasing scent.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner
1 cup borax
Pour into toilet bowl before going to bed. In the morning, scrub and flush.

Rust Remover
1 lime
Salt
Sprinkle a little salt on the rust. Squeeze a lime over the salt until it is well soaked. Let the mixture set for two to three hours. Use the leftover rind to scrub the residue.

Glass Cleaner
1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
1 quart warm water
Mix ingredients above. Pour into a spray bottle or apply with a sponge. For lint-free results, wipe dry with crumpled newspaper instead of paper towels. Buff to a shine.

I hope these tips will cultivate you and bring you INN'ER POWER I would love to hear some of your non-toxic tips!:-x

Hi Braveheart Creators!
Just wanted to give you a reminder blog so you can read these tips on tapping into your Creativity!

I feel creativity and spirituality are interconnected by the human spirt, the source, the place that is connected to life! The place that can not be described by words, the place that can only be felt by the heart!

When we relax into the place and connect to our infinite intelligence! The place that's in each of us just waiting to be discovered! We are all very talented beings and we all have the same access to our infinite intelligence.

There is no such thing as being more creative, because you already are. We just need to practice of being more aware of the creative energies that surround us all the time!

Tip 1. Relax! Tap into the moment of joy, happiness, love, when you walk, meditate, journal. Be aware of the moment!

Tip 2. Open up my friends! Don't shut down any of the ideas that come to you when your relaxing and these ideas start to flow! You want to encourage ideas to come freely and to come with out putting judgement on them. (i.e. oh that was a dumb idea)

Tip 3. Gratitude! When you are in a energy field of gratitude, the vibration is a warm and fuzzy feeling. You are in a positive energy flow! Go with it, feel it, welcome and and give gratitude!

Tip 4. Think on Paper! Journal, journal, journal! I can't tell you how many times I have woken up in the middle of the night with a brilliant idea and lost it because I didn't write it down. Ideas can come to you in many ways! When I get ready do blog sometimes I just sit quietly and then it hits me, thoughts, feelings, ideas, words, write them down and go with the flow! You are in a positive, creative energy flow!

I hope these tips will SIMPLY cultivate your creativity and bring you Inn'er Power!

Hi Ladies,
I am reading a powerful book right now called The Power of Focus from Jack Canfield, Mark Hansen and Les Hewitt. It is a very empowering book! B-)

They wrote about the Top-10 Lists of how to create Unlimited Prosperity from two wealthy individuals - Sir John Templeton and Art Linkletter! I thought you might like to read what they had to say!

Sir John Templeton-
1. To achieve success, be neither an optimist nor a pessimist, but a realist with a hopeful nature.

2. Count your blessings to enrich yourself and your neighbors, first spiritually, and then perhaps, financially.

3. Debt, whether personal or collective, should not keep your from investing in your future. Strive to be debt free.

4. Invest in many different places-there is safety in numbers.

5. Money should do far more than simply reproduce itself.

6. Remember that patience is a virtue.

7. If you want to prosper, investigate before you invest.

8. Never forget: The secret of creating riches for oneself is to create them for others.

9. Looking out for Number One doesn't make your Number One!

10. Make success with a single word--LOVE.

Art Linkletter-
1. I'm going to do the the work I enjoy. You only live once, so do what you love.

2. There will always be difficulties, failures and challenges along the way.

3. The margin between mediocrity and success is very small when related to time and effort, over and above what is expected.

4. I will use pull whenever I can to open the doors to opportunity, but I will make sure to work when the door is opened for me.

5. I will recognize and be alert to my own weaknesses, and find people who excel in the things where I falter.

6. I will consider an opportunity to advance more important than the immediate money and fringe benefits of the situation.

7. I will always stretch my abilities and goals a little further than my comfort zone, within reason.

8. I will learn from my failures and then put them behind me.

9. I will follow the Golden Rule. I will not do a deal where someone is short-changed, cheated or taken advantage of.

10. I will use other people's money provided I feel certain the money itself can grow at a faster rate than the interest charges. I will not be greedy!

I hope these lists have NOURISHED and CULTIVATED your mind!

Have you ever dealt with negative people before? If you have, you know that the experience can be quite a downer.

I used to have a friend who was very negative. In many conversations, she would complain tirelessly about her co-workers, her work and her life. She was very cynical about people, doubting them and their intentions. I didn't enjoy talking with her because the majority of times it was unpleasant.

Usually when we talked I would feel very drained and sometimes I wouldn't be in the right mood or energy to do anything after we talked. It was like someone has sucked the life out of me. It took hours for my energy to return.

Because she was so pessimistic, her negative energy often spilled over after the conversation, leaving me with a bad taste in my mouth. For a period of time, I was quite bothered by her and would avoid speaking to her if I could.

I know that she will not be the only negative nellie in my life so I came up with a SIMPLE APPROACH on how to deal with negative people effectively.

1. Don't Engage in the Negativity
When you are talking with a negative individual, provide a listening ear and offer help only if asked. Provide support and let them know they are not alone. KEY: Draw the line somewhere. If it continues, its up to you to disengage.
Switch topics or give a simple reply, such as "I see" or "Okay". If he/she is being positive reply in affirmation and enthusiasm and maybe they will catch on.

2. Hang Out In Groups
Instead of you being the only one on the receiving end, talk in groups. The more people the better. This way, the negative energy is divided between you and the other members, and you don't have to bear the full brunt of the negative energy. By having more positive people in a conversation it may bring out the more positive side of the negative person.

3. Objectify the Comments Made
By observing my friend and realizing she did this to everyone, I was able to not take her critical comments so personal. I realized that she really didn't mean any harm but that she was caught up in her own negativity. This was just her being the way she was. Recognize that its just her point of view. Is there an underlying message or is there anything you can learn from what is being said?

4.
Lighter Topics
Sometime negative people are triggered by certain topics. If the person is deeply entrenched in negativity, bring in a new topic to lighten the mood. SIMPLE things like movies, hobbies, daily occurrences or happy news make for a light conversation. Keep it to the areas the person feels postive towards.

5. Be Mindful of the Time You Spend With Them. [/b]
Think about the times you hang out with negative people - How to they make you feel? Down? Negative? Critical?
Now how about being with positive people - How do you feel after spending some time with them? Upbeat? Inspired?Exuberant? This is the space where I love to be! There is no comparison. By spending more time with negative people, your thoughts and emotions will slowly become negative too. At first it might be temporary, but over time it'll slowly become ingrained in you. Be conscious of how much time you're spending with them and limit the duration when and where you can help it.

6. If all else fails than its time to move on my friend. Work on cultivating positivity by hanging out with positive friends and business partners. This has been so rewarding and fruitful in my life. Spending time with postive people in my life has brought me INN'ER POWER!

The creative faculty becomes more alert and receptive to factors originating outside the individual's subconscious mind, the more this faculty is used, and the more the individual relies upon it and makes demands upon it for thought impulses. This faculty can be CULTIVATED and developed only through use.

That which is known as one's "conscience" operates entirely through the faculty of the sixth sense.

The great artists, writers, musicians, and poets become great because they acquire the habit of relying upon the "still small voice" which speaks from within, through the faculty of creative imagination. It is a fact well know to people who have "keen imaginations that their best ideas come through so-called "hunches."

There is a great orator who does not attain to greatness until he closes his eyes and begins to rely entirely upon the faculty of creative imagination. When asked why he closed his eyes just before the climaxes of his oratory, he replied, "I do it because then I speak through the ideas which come to me from within."

One of America's most successful and best known financiers followed the habit of closing his eyes for two or three minutes before making a decision. When asked why he did this, he replied, "With my eyes closed, I am able to draw upon a source of superior intelligence."

Tomorrow I will blog about how an inventor got his best ideas.

The late Dr. Elmer R. Gates, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, created more than 200 useful patens, many of them basic, through the process of CULTIVATING and using the creative faculty. His method is both significant and interesting to one interested in attaining to the status of genius, in which category Dr. Gates unquestionably belonged. Dr. Gates was one of the really great though less publicized scientists of the world.

In his laboratory, he had what he called his "personal communication room." It was practically sound proof, and so arranged that all light could be shut out. It was equipped with a small table on which he kept a pad of writing paper. In front of the table, on the wall, was an electric pushbutton, which controlled the lights. When Dr. Gates desired do draw upon the forces available to him through his creative imagination, he would go into this room, seat himself at the table, shut off the lights, and concentrate upon the known factors of the invention on which he was working, remaining that position until ideas began to "flash" into his mind in connection with the unknown factors of the invention.

On once occasion, ideas came through so fast that he was forces to write for almost three hours. When the thoughts stopped flowing, and he examined his notes, he found they contained a minute description of principles which had not a parallel among the known data of the scientific world. Moreover, the answer to his problem was intelligently presented in those notes.

Dr. Gates earned his living by "sitting for ideas" for individuals and corporations. Some of the largest corporations in America paid him substantial fees, by the hour, for "sitting for ideas."

The reasoning faculty is often faulty, because it is largely guided by one's accumulated experience. Not all knowledge which one accumulates through experience is accurate. Ideas received through the creative faculty are much more reliable, for the reason that they come from sources more reliable than any which are available to the reasoning faculty of the mind.

From Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
