Just Be Kind

Begin now.
How do you treat people that think differently than yourself? Do you really show kindness or secretly are you thinking I want away from this person? To me a belief really isn't a belief until it's tested. It's easy to say that I know to treat everyone the same, but do I really? When I'm with someone that challenges the very core of my beliefs, am I still kind?
Well, I can say this; I'm growing and learning every day. My daughter, Becca, has been a person that has taught me a lot. You see, I'm a conservative woman, in the way I vote, my daughter is liberal. For Christmas, Becca gave me Sarah Palin's book....lol, she stood in line to buy a book she doesn't even like and couldn't care less about what Sarah Palin has to say about anything...but she knew it would be something I would enjoy, She put aside what people would think of her standing in line to purchase it. We laughed so much, as she told the story of standing in line and the conversation she had with an older couple buying the book for each other. It's funny, but there are many times that things aren't as they appear.
When you don't know what to do, or how to respond........something my favorite Uncle says...."Just Be Kind"

Love your Pictures. And yes you are right, there can never be an abundance of compassion and kindness. Hugs,

I love your post....kindness is not as prevalent in our society as we would like, but what a difference an act of kindness can make in the life of someone else...whether it is simply a smile, an encouraging word, or some specific act of kindness....I would challenge everyone reading your post to make it a daily habit!
Thanks for sharing and for being kind!! May God Bless You! (smile)
I agree, you can never have an overabundance of kindness!
