Can You Be Fully Restored?

Can you be fully restored after you have experienced a trauma?Although it was my dog that was attacked by two dogs while I deflected their bites the best that I could, I was traumatized also. While the attack was happening, I used my life time of experience with dogs to control the situation and felt cool, calm and collected....then.

My dog's wounds have healed. Her psyche with other dogs seems fine. A mini-seizure that she had after the stitches were removed was troubling to me. She is under the care of a holistic vet.

The owners of the dogs have offered a partial payment of the vet bills for the immediate emergency care. They do not feel they should cover the expenses that I feel were necessary to make my dog as "whole" as possible. My feeling is that they can earn more money to replace what they have had to pay out but will my dog be able to "earn" her way back to the health that she enjoyed before the attacks?

I tried not to dwell on the emotional pain but found it revealing itself in my voice whenever I would answer someone's inquiry about my precious pet.

I have been led to do the Healing Code for forgiveness and to pass that healing to my dog. Perhaps to be fully restored, we must forgive those that have abused us. I have been able to let it go and get back to living in the moment. The peace that comes with forgiveness is healing.

How do you fully restore as life events challenge you?

Rijuta and Rebecca,

Thank you for your comments. Schatzi (means little sweetheart in German) is continuing to receive care from a holistic vet. She has not had any more seizures so we are making progress.

I have been instrumental in creating a new dog park and realize that the research that I have had to do on dog law as a result of this incident will be beneficial for other dog owners who may be in this position.

Our little sweetie has become a DIVA as a result of all the unconditional love she receives from everyone she meets. You will see more of her...we are back on track.

With love, compassion and empowerment,

Dear Amelia,

I offer you my heart's oneness! :)

Such an unfortunate incident for both you and your beautiful dog. Gratitude is a powerful force that helps heal all - gratitude that your dog is still alive and is making such wonderful progress.

The other magnificent healing force is that of LOVE.
Surrounding your dog with sweetest love :-x will help her to recover to wholeness. Love yourself for doing everything you possibly could to help your dog.

Keep us posted on how your dog is doing (and how you are doing!) What is her name?

With love,

Hi Amelia
Sorry to hear about your dogs attack. As a pet owner it is as devastating to us as our animals. We wish they could speak English and tell us where they hurt and how they fee. But we must listen to them in their own language and watch to see how they are doing. Your dog is beautiful!

I would have to say that you may want to be grateful that they payed anything...some people wouldn't do that much, while others would pay the whole part. The bible says to forgive us for our sins and to forgive those who have sinned against us....seems to be a good place for this forgiveness. There is always a lesson in everything that happens and perhaps this one was to bring you to the "healing code".

Give you wonderful dog a special hug from me!
