The Secret to my Life


Life - this thing we call living is perplexing to say the least. On my birthday I reflect on what I 've learned about life and getting through the day;

1. Always look at the positive in each moment. The secret is that the positive is always there, even in the mist of despair and hardship. It takes skill and maturety to "see" it. The key is "look" for the positive, it's ALWAYS there.

2. Laugh. Laughter is the fountain of youth and the foundation of health, both physical and mental. So laugh, laugh at yourself, laugh at your life, and especially laugh at your mistakes.

3. Look for the fulfillment of every need you have, within yourself, before looking for it anywhere else. This advice will save you a lot of time and heartache. Every search for the fulfillment of any need leads you, always, to yourself anyway. Especially the fulfillment of LOVE. So cut to the chase and look within.

4. Believe in yourself. God resides in you. So believe in YOU. You are powerful, more powerful than you know. You agree that God is powerful, right? So believe in yourself because within you is where God resides. You may not always Express Him fully, that will come with time and positive growth. Rest assured that He always resides within YOU.

5. I learned that You are loved. You have always been the beloved of God. He wants you to be happy and successful. YOU have a friend in high places. You are loved and the universe is waiting to fulfill your every need. All you have to do is Believe.

6. I have also learned that fear is our greatest enemy. When fear is present love cannot exist. Fear Blocks Love. We are all afraid to some degree. We must become soldiers to conquer Fear, so that love, our love, may flourish.

7. I've learned that the only thing that we have supreme power over is the present moment. We have no control over the past, that's gone, we don't control the future, that does not exist yet. The only thing that we truly posess is the "moment", the right now.

Our power exist in the present, the right now. We have supreme power to make it what ever we want. All we really need is this moment. This "present moment" determines our past, present and future.

Make it positve, make it hopeful, make it special. Spend it with someone you love, spend it alone in quiet reflection. Spend it however you chose, but make it special and sacred. Life is spent moment by moment. This is where our power lies. Each moment is the building block of your life and your world. Enjoy your day.
