RISE EVENT

Posted Oct 11, 2010 07:17 PM
Hi Ladies,

Well I am back from my first RISE event experience and let me assure you it was well worth the trip. For those of you who were unable to attend? Start saving now for next yrs event and make it a definite plan to attend. You wont be sorry. It was very exciting to see many of my braveheartsisters in person and finally put a face to the many words I read.

Aside from meeting many of my braveheartwomen friends...The RED CARPET night was also very exciting. The celebrities who did appear were all very socialable, approachable and very welcoming. Pictures were not a problem if one wanted to take them.

Now I need to give some individual attention also.

SIEDAH GARRET was truly fantastic. That girl can do more then sing a song...She really feels it in her entire being. Those of you who where there ..know exactly what I am talking about.

GLORIA LORING was another amazing performer but also very warm and sociable as well. Funny too!!!

ROLANDA WATTS looked amazing, and you can tell she is truly passionate about her life callings. She to was very warm, loving and welcoming to all.

SHERRI SHEPARD was one of the most down to earth. She lives life true to who she is.. She is funny, smart, strong and very grateful for all Gods blessings. In fact I thanked her for taking a pic and she said " it was my pleasure" She didn't mind at all ..In fact I really think she enjoyed it. haha

Those were a few I wanted to mention individually because they stood out to me for various reasons but all the guest were wondeful!!!!

My first RISE experience was a very positive, educational and fulfiling experience. In fact it was all I expected and more...<smile> I look forward to seeing all of you again next yr and all of you who were unable to attend this yr.

Hey Fran,

Scholarship? Scholarship for what? Never heard of that before in regard to this event.

To answer you questions..1) I can't say for sure who the special guest was because they didn't announce anyone as a "special guest". The only one I noticed who appeared and was kept secret was Robert Kyosaki. So I am not sure if that was their surprise guest.
2) No...Dr. Angelou was not there. I wish she was though.. I would have loved to have seen her and listen to her wise words of experience.

Looking forward to next yrs event...
