What is the significance?

Hi ladies,

I have a wonderful story to share. And would love to hear your opinions as to the significance of this story. I have no doubt there is a message here. Recently my husband and I purchased a new home. It was an estate sale so it was left to 4 children. When we met 2 of the daughters they shared with us that the night before settlement they were crying because it was so difficult to give up their parents home where there were so many happy memories etc. At the settlement table we exchanged phone number ( which I thought was a little strange request but I did it anyway haha ) They said if we got mail for them we could call them to come pick it up. I didn't think much of it at the time but after we made settlement we immediately went to our new home and started cleaning etc. We have a lot of cosmetic fixing to do so we wasted no time. haha I was on my hands and knees cleaning and scrubbing one of the bathrooms when suddenly I had this overwhelming feeling of something telling me to lift this platform up under the sink. I hesitated a min and really focused on my gut instincts haha So I lifted it.. Not really sure why or what I would find if anything at all. Well there I found a beautiful picture of a beautiful couple. The floor was all dusty and dirty as if no one ever lifted it before..but the picture was clean as ever. So I got all excited and yelled to my husband..." I think I found a picture ofthe owners of the home.. Its a great picture ..I think I will call the daughters and tell them I found it so they can have it.." So my husband said.." maybe they put it there on purpose..Maybe its a tradition or has some sort of meaning or significance" So I said.. " Like what? " and he said.. Maybe they wanted you to find it for a reason" So with that ..I turned the picture over and sure enough it read.. " IF you find this picture...Please note it is a picture of my parents who lived, loved and died in this home. Many dreams , love and laughter were shared in this home. " And then it was dated the date the home was built to the date it was sold to us.

So thet next day I called one of the daughters..and I told them.. I had mail for them.. but I also said.."I found the picture" And I was so excited that I rambled on the story as to how I came across it haha She was very quite ( I think holdin back tears) but very calmly said.." My sister hid the picture .. I knew about it but didn't know where it was hidden" But she didn't state the reason they hid the picture and I talked so much that I didn't really give her chance to explain haha So my question to you ladies is this... What do you think the significance of this little gesture means?

Waiting to hear from you :)

Our souls leave footprints wherever we have been. This was a way to remain behind yet move ahead, too! A way to say to the next caregivers of the home that happiness lived here and still does.

Cool story!

Hi Barb,

Just wanted to let you know I appreciate you relating to the story and for also sharing a bit of your own personal experience. Whats nice about all this is that....when we all share these experiences, thoughts, feelings etc.. For me ...it just reinforces the fact that EVERYTHING, EVERYONE AND EVERY EVENT IS CONNECTED IN SOME WAY. It all has meaning and significance.

thanks again
Angeliis
Dear Angeliis,

Thank you for sharing ... :-x ...

What a neat story ... :-x ... I can certainly relate to the feelings the daughters expressed ... It has been thirteen years since my Mom passed away, but we are still holding onto the home my parents shared with all of us over an entire lifetime ... It's tough to let it go ... We let a friend of a relative live in it for "free" for a period just so he could watch over it for as long as he lived ... When he passed, we were forced to consider renting it ... which we did ... Now, we are struggling with selling it because time and use by others have changed it ... but it IS still difficult ... So, I can relate totally to how the daughters feel ...

The gesture ... likely a "memorial" was a unique and creative way to honor one's parents and the lives they shared in that home ...

Thank you for sharing that story ... It helps to realize that what my sisters and I have been dealing with for over a decade is not that uncommon afterall ...

With much gratitude and many blessings to you and your family as you begin your stay in that wonder-filled home ... :-x ...

Aloha pume hana,

HI Rhonda,

Yes I do think this is a new beginning however not just for me and my husband but also all family members involved in the move.

Its funny but you said youn "Loved" that this couple lived, loved and died in this house.." My son is freaked out by that haha.. But I to think its kinda neat.

Thanks for sharing

Hi Freedomwar,

To answer your question . "was this house one I have been manifesting or praying for ?" My father passed away 8 yrs ago and my mother is not comfortable living alone so my husband and I have been trying to find a home to accomodate our own family of 5 plus my mother. We had a few specific requirements when looking for a home and so to make a long story short...we have searched for approx 5 yrs trying to find the perfect house haha. This house was perfect in every way in my opinion. Almost as if it was built for us. <smile>

Thanks for your comment I appreciate it

Hello Angeliis

What an uplifting story !

As we've know that home is truly where the heart is.....

Is it an affirmation or a sign of something specific that you've been maifesting, praying or asking for?

Was this sale something that fell into your lap like a dream come true for you and your family?

What a gift you've been presented with - to start out a new life together, and may you have an equal long-lasting marriage, as your home has already been filled with lots of love for a promising tomorrow !

Enjoy !
Angeliis,

I felt that your gut instinct which you heeded is an indicator that you are "in tune" with couple and the house.

It feels sort of like a memorial, a sentimental tribute to the couple.

I love that this couple lived, loved and died in that house. How touching that their life cycles ended there. Every ending is also a beginning, and you and your husband are the new beginning for this/your home.

I wish you many years of living and loving in your new home! :-x

Beautiful Blessings,
Rhonda
