Shoulder Pain for Women - Be Aware.

Hi Annette, Great information. Especially the idea of building up slowly, if we've been sitting at a computer instead of daily exercising! My friend pulled something in his shoulder exactly this way. Then when he went back to exercising, he forgot to start out slowly - and it's taking months for his shoulder to heal. You're also right about us not getting the proper nutrients enough of the time. I just had a wellness check today at my doctor's, and she told me that many women don't realize how much Vitamin D we need, in order for us to absorb calcium to keep our bones dense. She actually suggested I look into Vitamin D supplements. Namaste, Suzann (Stardust Zoo) How to Tell If You're An Alcoholic - A Quick Quiz from www.Women-Lifestyles.com Hello Annette ~ When I saw your blog I had to stop. I'm not sure if I can add anything to your vast health knowledge about shoulder pain but here my shoulder pain story goes. My first experience with shoulder pain started twelve years ago (30s) from a tragic car accident. Understandably so, I would be in pain for awhile. (Taking pain meds was never an option) I continued with chiropractic care every day for three years afterwards. It also taught me a lot about the anatomy and trauma that takes place when an injury occurs. My doctor reminded me that my shoulder is where I hold onto all my stress. She gave me breathing exercises to help relax my adjoining muscles. I was in so much agony I couldn't sleep, sit down or even stand comfortably for more than ten minutes. I sought massage therapists, personal trainers, doctors - you name it - I went. It wasn't until I was referred to an energy healer that I learned it was emotionally rooted. My injury was on my left side, my female side or rather my nurturing self. I've been seeing her for 3 years now and what a difference it has made! Interestingly enough, the name of her business is called "Loving Yourself." Now in my 40s, as I'm learning how to take much better care of myself and honor all of myself, not just parts of me, I feel a huge relief and comfort in my shoulder! Thank you for writing this blog ~ Judith
