Do You Have Any or All of the 3 "P's" for Success?

Posted Dec 4, 2009 12:34 AM
My friend shared this video with me because he knew it would make my day. He was right ....I hope it will do the same for you.

I am sure this wasn't an easy trick to teach this dog but what we all can learn from this is, if we are patient, persistent and remember in order to excel at anything you have to be willing to practice. The reward might just be a yummy dog bone or in my case....chocolate!!!:-x

Hilarious Audie!!

So, even a dog or probably even a cat can shoot hoops better than me....but can they bowl...can they beat 60 at the local bowling alley because I've improved from all gutter balls...the last time I got a 63!

Much Love sweetie!:-x<br.>

Dear Audie,

Thank you for sharing that video! ... :-x ...

The lesson you took away from that video is spot-on ... (Two thumbs up!) ... :-D ...

May I also say that as seemingly obvious as that take away is, most, if not coached like you just did for us, would likely have simply watched the video and smiled with acknowledgement that that IS one smart dog! ... ;) ...

Just as many people look at someone who has achieved a LOT in life and they say something like ... What a lucky person! ...

Lucky? ?:| ... Hmmm ...

Actually, we mostly make our own luck ... Hard work generally is behind the accomplishments of a LOT of seemingly lucky people ...

It IS really as the Chinese proverb states ... "The journey of a thousand steps begins with the first one" ... Or, something close to that ...

Training that dog to do what we just witnessed began with that gentleman deciding he wanted to train that dog to do that ... Then, he began the journey of making it happen ... I am not certain how long it took him, but I am quite certain that it did not happen overnight ... and I am equally certain that he wasn't just lucky to find or purchase a really smart dog! ... ;) ...

Yes, indeed ... hard work IS its own reward and the harder we work ... the luckier we seem to get! ... ;) ...

Thank you so much for reminding us all that effort (patience and practice) and persistence bring great accomplishments ... :-x ...

Aloha pume hana,

Barb
