The Activity- Based Mindset

Posted Feb 16, 2009 02:08 AM
I read an article today that caught my attention. It is about being active throughout the day for better health.

The article stated, Not everyone can be thin, but everyone can be fit. It is a simple principle that medical science indicated that even small amounts of activity, when done consistently, provide big health benefits, quality and longevity of life.

If you thought exercise was beneficial only if you lost weight, studies are showing the contrary.

The activity-based mindset of former couch potatoes are doing things like gardening, walking their dogs, house cleaning or anything that gets the heart pumping.

It's been said that your health can be judged by which you take two at a time--- pills or stairs. Ask yourself how you will be judged!

Pawsitively yours,

Hi Anne,
Yes this is a great idea to report back with positive changes in our personal and business lives.

Maintaining good health is the basis to our success.

I'll be watching for your results

Audie
I like the idea of habits that are fun and those that, when applied consistently, help us reach our goals. Popping pills seems a treadmill to do more of the same - a type of downward dependency spiral. But, taking stairs two at a time sounds like a fun challenge to tune up my quads, perhaps make me huff a little, laugh, and put a smile on my face! Is this a challenge, Audie? Can we report back if we see any positive changes in our lives, businesses, etc.?
Audie,
Mindset is so important...and a healthy mindset provides the path to better productivity and success in life.
Well Audie, I don't like taking pills, but I am certainly willingly to give the stairs more of my time.

Deborah :)
