Ellie's Affirmations

At 8 AM today I have found yet another situation in which Ellie's morning affirmation CD has assisted me.

I was faced with the challenge of getting up close and personal with a MRI machine (magnetic resonance imaging.)

I've never considered myself to be claustrophobic but there is always that first time and this very well could have been one of them.

Fortunately I was given advance notice that I could bring a CD along with me to listen to while the test was being preformed. My CD of choice was Ellie's morning affirmations.

The technician placed a set of headphones on my head and piped the CD through and the test began. At first there was an abundance of loud clanging noises and I didn't hear the first few affirmations but the noises subsided then I heard Ellie's soothing voice saying," Today I choose to surrender... and "It is was it is". I thought to myself how appropriate is this, to have the first affirmation I hear telling me to surrender..... and so I did.

I have to admit my expectations of the next 30 minutes weren't of the pleasant variety, but thanks to Ellie I was gratefully wrong. Instead I breezed through the test with EASE and the direction of my day started out in an empowering and positive way.
