Today our BraveHeart sister, Hedy, sent me this amazing story via email. It is so special that I wanted to share it with all of you.

A female humpback whale had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines.

She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat.

She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands(outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help.

Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her -- a very dangerous proposition. One slap of
the tail could kill a rescuer.

They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.

When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles.

She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them.

Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.

The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

May you, and all those you love, be so fortunate...To be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude.

I pass this on to all of my BraveHeart sisters, in the same spirit.

Pawsitively yours,

Audie

Thank you Audie!

I have tears in my eyes.

I feel her joy. I'm so glad she lived to bless her heroes!

Why is the news so depressing. I can't even watch. If you were a reporter, I would watch your channel!

Heart warming news is worth my time!

Many blessings,
Carrie
Aloha Audie,

What a great story to share with us! Animals have so many more senses and ways to express themselves than most "humans" will ever know. I can only imagine the "Look of Gratitude" in this whales eyes. After all the eyes are the window to the soul!:-x

Audie, an incredibly beautiful story of the oneness of all creatures here on earth!
Have heard the story before but without the remarkable photos. :O

Thank you for bringing both the story and your good wishes for your BraveHeart family: "May you, and all those you love, be so fortunate...To be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you. And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude."

Love the special poignancy that you add to the whale tale. :-x

Dear Audie,

You are an amazingly "aware" and "sensitive" person ... no wonder that you were able to raise such "pawsitive" children!

Yes ... What an amazing story!

We share this wonder-filled Earth with so many of God's creatures - large and small - and though we are sometimes cautious about animals or people ... we may find the secrets to our freedom from those with only good intentions.

That story IS so powerful and so FULL of insights and messages that IF we are OPEN to receive all that that story contains in so few words and such simplicity ... we would arrive at a whole other level of existence.

Thank YOU so very much for sharing! ... :-x ...

With sincere gratitude ... Aloha pume hana,

Barb
