Kids Do Pay Attention to What We Do

Our children learn from us, even we often think, they don't listen to what we say. They see us "living" our own words and that's what makes the most impact. The greatest thing about this post is- being written by a loving mother and intensify with a loving comment of her daughter. What a Braveheart Family! Grazyna Jensen You Are a Pathway to Peace Dearest Audie, What a Beautiful Relationship you have with your daughter, Alexandra... She's so Blessed to have YOU as her Mom... "Finding the Lessons & being Grateful for them... Is healing for the Soul..." Audie, Thank YOU for sharing your Inspirational story with ALL of Us... I Love YOU dearly, Bell Rushing Gentle Warrior Community Peace & Inner Strength… Gentle Warrior Blog I appreciate you Audie bringing this to our attention, because I too had to learn to stay out the pool...for there were times when I almost drowned in meddling. Audie, Thank you for sharing this story,It bring so much joy to my heart to see that as Mothers we are are Children's rock and our children lean on us for support and guidance and advice even when their Adults ! I want to be the best example to my three kids just as you have been to your children .Thank you for sharing this ...I love ya and have a great day! With HOPE,COURAGE AND DIVINITY LISA Hi Mom, I am glad that you are proud of me, as it took a lot for me to reach that point. Each day is getting better. Thank you for being there for me. I know I can always count on you! I love you! Alex Hi Audie, That is so awesome! I have to smile because I recall when Amadi first started primary school at 4 (nearly 5) and within the first week her reception teacher told me of how she had admonished another youngster who was playing up in class by stating, "That is sooo inappropriate! You need to respect your elders." !! She said she was so astonished at how grown up she sounded although she was a tiny little thing! I couldn't stop laughing and knew it must have come from me because I distinctly remember my dad saying something similar to us many a time! Good job on a job well done! Love, Chineme Audie, It's so wonderful to see our children find the positive in their most challenging moments. Seeing them doing it all by themselves is so great, almost like seeing them learn how to walk, and I'm glad it was so quick for your daughter and you! Hugs, Hedy Awareness Transforms The Relationship Dance Community Hi Audie, Great story! It is amazing to see the lessons we taught our children, and the values we presented to them as they we growing up, impact their lives as they are older. I am always delighted when I now hear our 19 year old son say many of the same things we said to him, and interact with people in respectful ways as we have done with him. Children "absorb" everything around them and it is important that we provide structure and set good examples to build a strong foundation in their early lives. It pays off for them in their future. In Gratitude... Linda Kay Holden New Beginnings Community Audie, It is so wonderfull to watch our children grow and come through their trials on their own. Knowing that we have taught them well is a good feeling. Knowing that they can have an experience and make the best choices is rewarding as a parent. We all want our children to be successful and at times allowing them to learn the lesson is a challenge, but it is how they develop and buld up their own character. Allowing them to make their own choices is sometimes difficult too, but not everything I would choose for my self is what is right for my child. Rebecca Hofeldt Horse Lovers - Free Spirit Audie, I agree with it's not what we say, it's how we live around our children. Also children have good perception. Thanks for sharing, Stephanie Funnye Hi Audie, The point you make is a very important one - our children do learn more from our actions than our words. As a teacher, I always felt that if parents would take the time to say less and to lead more by example - many of life's little lessons would be picked up by their children - in a faster, more effective and efficient way. Have a fabulous rest of the week. Lynette http:/ Audie, You're right - It does a heart good when you see your children are finding the blessings that come through even their challenges. That's why it's so important to "let them" go through the trials and tribulations -- just as we must ourselves experience our own-- what we learn is so signfiicant. The mountaintops are great but it's what we learn in the valleys that build our character, courage, faith, etc. Your kids are lucky to have a mom like you! Blessings! Sue Audie! What incredible results! I can't wait for my girls to do the same sort of things. I know that the work I do with them now is most definitely building a very strong foundation~ Excellent story, thanks for sharing Crystal Jones Mommy's collaborate HERE!!!!!
