She Couldn't Stop Smiling!

When I asked my daughter how her act of kindness made her feel...her reply to me was ... "I can't stop smiling"

This is a story about my amazing daughter and BraveHeart Woman, Alex.

For the last month she has been upset over the fact that a friend of hers lost all of his possessions and suddenly he and his dog were homeless as a result of a house fire. Unfortunately he doesn't have any family members to assist him.

She had been trying to come up with ways to raise some money to help him out but due to her heavy work schedule, the lack of time was a factor keeping her from getting a fund raiser together.

Last week she had an unexpected income that landed at her doorstep. Like for many others, this extra cash would have come in handy, instead she decided her friend could use the money to find a place to live and get back on his feet.

Today she invited him to lunch and presented him with her heartfelt gift. Because of this gesture he and his dog will be in a warm home celebrating Christmas together.

I could feel the radiance of her beautiful smile as she was telling me her story over the phone.

Right now I am deeply grateful to be Alex's Mom
