A Tribute to My Mom

It has been raining for 2 days now and the very moment I felt inspired to write this post, the sun came through the clouds and is shining brightly on my keyboard. I know it is my Mom smiling down to me.

Today would have been my beloved Mother's 90th birthday. I haven't had the joy of hearing her loving voice for 10 years now. But her presence is Always with me.

While on this earth she taught me how to love, give, and forgive with all my heart.

She taught me to have compassion for all, because you never know where a person is on their journey.

She taught that it is ok to cry but to know that it is my choice to bring joy as well.

Because she was my best friend she taught me the meaning of being a true friend.

On a lighter side, my Mom was the most fantastic cook ever. She had unconditional love for me so I know that it wasn't too much of a disappointment that I did not take after her in this area.

But I guess it is never too late to learn ... move over Dave  (my husband is the cook in our home) you may have to give up your recipes or at least share them!

Thank you Mom for giving me the gift of life and showering me with constant and unconditional love.

In memory of you I will pass on to everyone I touch in one way or another, your generosity, compassion and abundance of love to all living things. Your inner beauty will live on through me.
