It is a beautiful spring afternoon here in Northern Georgia… the sky is blue, the birds are singing, the trees are bursting in white and pink blossoms. A perfect day for a walk to breathe in the New Beginnings of the season !!! It was time for me to leave the cocoon of fear and, with a Brave Heart, go for a walk with my dogs, Sadie and Rascal. :-p

For those who are new to the community, catch up on the saga of the now infamous (?) event in my life that occurred 6 weeks ago. The incident was an “obstacle” in my daily routine that has created greater appreciation for the value of positive energy and focused intention, plus the power of laughter and joy in all of life. Read An Emergency Room Experience… followed by REAL Inspiration in Action… and then Fashion Statement for a Walk with Your Dogs… You will laugh along with me in the next blog, A Gift of TRUE LOVE...

Fear has a way of sneaking in and becoming an obstacle in our path… getting in our way, if we allow it to do so. Have you developed the awareness to notice when something gets in your way? Recognize these feelings before they become obstacles to your growth, step out of your comfort zone to deal with them and move forward to becoming the BraveHeart Woman you were born to be.

I knew my mother was a BraveHeart Woman the day I almost 'oggered' in (went splatt) on a sky dive gone terribly wrong. I asked my mother if she would want to know if I almost died? (Gulp!)

After telling her the story, she replied, simply- "You know, you MUST get back up in a plane and jump again! After that you can decide if you want to keep jumping, but you must not let this grow fear in you."

My mother had asked me a month earlier not to let her know BEFORE I jumped. It was too hard on her. She would listen to my stories after, but it was too much for her to know WHEN I was jumping. So for her to tell me to go back up after that, really let me know that my mother was out for what was the best for me.... she taught me so much that day.

Like her, you knew you needed to bust through the thought that the past may equal the future,,,, what if we never loved again after the first time our heart was broken... you may never have found how beautiful that heart shaped diamond on your hand was! GOOD FOR YOU!

much love!

Thanks for sharing your inspirational story, You are truly a braveheart sister. I hope you are doing really well now. I was glad to hear that the nurses treated you well, and that inspite of everything there was laughter. As that is so healing. Fear grips you into a frozen state, stagnant energy, where you are in your own mind afraid to move,(emotional, mentally physically) it is when you allow the positive inner strength deep within that you are motivated to take the leap of faith and overcome that fear. Even as a children we experience fear, one night when I was a very young child I awoke to see something in front of me, it was semi dark in the room and I was very scared, I closed my eyes and peeked again, then after about 30 min of just being scared to move, breathing shallow, heart racing,I finally got the courage to extend my hand and reached out towards what was in front of me only to find out it was the blanket that had got twisted in a weird shape on my bed. hehehe!!!!!
I love your adorable dogs, they are beautiful!!!!

Hello Linda!

So happy to meet Sadie and Rascal!

I find that often Fear is accompanied by its evil twin, Anxiety.

When I feel them lurking about, I try to immediately shift my mind-set to massive appreciation and gratitude. A day in the beautiful sunshine is a great addition.

Thank you for your words and guidance in your New Beginnings writing....

Aloha Linda,
OMG - how did I miss this episode of your life till now? I am so sorry you had this mishap, AND I'm not surprised at all that you were able to find joy within in the most challenging of circumstances! Congratulations on being out with the Goldens again! I know you missed that! What a treat to have our 4-legged, ever-adoring, sometimes clumsily rambunctious friends!
I mast say - You wear a black eye exceedingly well, AND, Kent is to be applauded for the love in the hair style!
I am very happy that you are slingless and smiling and bravely walking again.
Warmest Aloha,
Linda Carol Berry
