March is National Nutrition Month in the United States.

It is a month dedicated to a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually
by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the
importance of making informed food choices, developing sound eating habits and creating
better physical activity habits.

The National Nutrition Month also promotes the American Dietetic Association and
its members to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely,
scientifically based food and nutrition information.

The theme for March 2011 is “Eat Right with Color.”

Remember that every day is important to eating for a healthier You…to make changes in your
roadmap of eating patterns and to color your plate with salad, vegetables and fruits.
Pack more nutrition into your day with ‘brighter’ food choices! There are multitudes of
nourishing foods for you to discover as you explore the world of color in your foods!

Enjoy the opportunities for 'new beginnings' to a healthier you!

In Gratitude...:-x

The local Government here in Australia has been promoting the importance of eating two fruit and five veg per day, and the Australian and America medical journals have found that adding herbs to veggies and fruits doubles their vitumin and mineral intake so eating great salads with herbs will increase your immune system and give you better health.

Now if you also add Aloe Vera to your foods and drinks you will have an ingredient that tells your cells how to go back to normal and reject bad cells.

To find out more about this amazing find you can check out my web site www.angiessmartbooks.com and the book is called "Cookin' For Cures" it has many great testimonials from people that were incureable that are now one hundred percent heaalthy and even some family pets that have also been helped along with their health problems this truly is a great and easy way of eating and drinking your way to great health.
Thank you, dear BraveHeart Sisters!

We have much to learn from each other in so many areas...and being healthier to enjoy quality life is at the top of the list!
So looking forward to the fresh produce coming in the spring and summer. And yes, we create healthy 'green' smoothies too for our breakfast in our house. :-D

In Gratitude for YOU...:-x

Dear Linda,

Thanks for this post!

Starting in '87 my health turned around with the inclusion of super foods and full spectrum nutrition in my diet. I have never looked back and enjoy a wonderful level of health, energy and balance.

My favorite foods are raw and wild, like blue green algae and sea veggies followed closely by organic chia seeds, cacoa beans, nuts, seeds, coconut oil and ginger. Dark berries are also great! Actually the list of my smoothie ingredients is too long to mention here.

I am so grateful to see more posts on the food choices we make! It has such a big effect on our quality of life and longevity!

Much love, Alison
Hi Linda,

Thank you for the colorful reminder about making 'brighter' choices when shopping for fruits and vegetables. :-D

It seems an excellent time to be more mindful of our food choices with spring right around the corner and soon afterward, a greater variety of foods available locally.

Looking forward to more color on my plate! :-p

Gratitude,
