A Mothers Day Story....
HI linda! I jusy joined the community and looked at your profile and read the history of mothers day...wow I had no idea! Linda, There are two points to this story: One, this daughter took on her mother's desire after the death of her mother. The daughter realized that now she was to carry the torch. Two, and this is not "politically correct"...this woman was from West Virginia. I live in a state that borders West Virginia. I would expect the women of today to be crusaders in West Virginia but not in the day of Anna Jarvis when women were to be seen but not heard. Living in the moment, Amelia http:/ Thank you for sharing this with us Linda. I didn't know the history. Wow! Talk about the power of love in action. Take care, Anita 8-) Thank you Linda, Very interesting how a little soul-power goes a long way! A simple action repeated over and over on Anna's part began a wonderful celebration for millions! Happy Mothers Day! Rijuta Soul-Power Community Linda, Thanks for sharing - I was not aware of the history of Mother's Day..... Have a beautiful day! Sue
