A Celebration of our Earth…!!!!
Hi Linda, It occurs to me - perhaps somewhat belatedly - that my comments came across rather harshly. I was not criticizing you personally, just trying to point out that we as individuals, as a society and as a species need to change our mindset about our place on this planet. Our mindset is reflected in our choice of words. I am as guilty as the next person, but I am aware that change is needed and I am trying to accomplish that in myself and also to help raise awareness of the need in those around me. Of course, we also need to be grateful for all the beauty in our lives, and thank you for that reminder. I also apologize for not signing my name. It was an oversight, not an attempt at anonymity. Blessings to you. Beth With respect, may I say that we are not "fortunate" to have the Earth to provide for us. We are part of her, and she of us. The human population tends to be very narcissistic and to claim ownership of all they see, but the Native Americans had it right, I think. We must respect Her and give back to Her, not plunder and pillage solely for our own purposes. It is to our own detriment if we continue the narrow mindset that has brought us to this age of global warming and extinctions of species. We can rightfully claim a place in Earth's ecosystem, but that right comes with responsibilities. Let's hope that humanity matures enough to recognize and respond to it before it's too late. Thanks, Linda. We had a light rain in Austin today, and I just decided not to use an umbrella. It was divine. I'm so grateful for all our blessings, and I wish "green blessings" on our whole planet and all its creatures. Namaste, Suzann The List - Animal Friendly Makeup Companies Today I planted some mint and rescued my Jasmine plant from the attacks of little bugs. I had to work fast since it was really cold and rained a little today. Taking in the air was great and made me feel relaxed and silly in a good way. Happy Earth day, I love the concept. Blessing to all of us on Planet Earth, Liv Dearest Linda, I too, CELEBRATE our Beautiful & Abundant & Magnificent & Precious EARTH!!! "Mother Earth, I Love YOU..." Yes Earth day is most worth celebrating - the sun was shining brightly while I walked this morning - the air was fresh - the water glistened on the river and I felt on top of the world. Nature has a way of rejuvenating and nourishing the soul along with bringing Peace to the mind and heart! Turning to nature we can learn many of life's lessons and see the hope and miracles we long for. Have yourself an amazing day! Love your BraveHeart sister, Lynette Ritual Divas Community Hi, Linda, As I walked with my dog this morning, I inhaled the aroma of the blooming lilac bushes. Spring has sprung here and it's a fantastic time to celebrate the beauty of this Earth. With love, compassion and empowerment, Amelia Animal Lovers Community
