An Emergency Room Experience…

Linda, oh my. I hope your arm is well on it's way to being healed. I think it was the being hit from behind that hurt most-didn't expect that one, did you? Funny but ouch. My uncle, wanting to show off his new horse carriage, a few christmas's ago, invited us all out to the farm. My mom, sis and neice all piled in the back and he closed the door nice and cosy. Until the horse spooked in the wind and twisted the carriage on the side. I caught myself, but sustained a pretty nasty fracture of my right wrist -with a 45 minute journey into town - waking up in the middle of surgery - ya-ya-sister. Sadly the bones didn't stay put so when I returned home, I had to have surgery all over again. Did I mention I was on crutches at the time - I just slipped and my doctor says, sprained or strained scar tissue. Hurt Like !!*!! What a mess. I'm not sure how I made it through those times. Broken arm, broken leg, broken heart. I think it was the bears. The only thing that made me smile were these little bears in the drug store. They had the love bear, the happy bear , the kindness bear, all kinds of bears that stood for blessings in life. Gave them to all my friends at work and gave the rest to the kids in the hospital the following Christmas Eve. Doing for others when you can't do it for yourself sometimes works to get you through the day. With 2 years under my wings, working day and night trying to get our business back on it's feet, I finally have time to search for ... healing. Despair - it has a name - what happens when grief isn't dealt with. The Judge wants to meet with me tomorrow and I'm a bit scared really. But I think Fear = reaf , right? And I shouldn't pay it no mind because it is just all in my mind. I love dogs and lost my little pup, Hopper, a schnauzer, to canine cancer on LMK day this year. Told my hubby to be calling him because it was his time and I had to let go. Please remember ... we have to tell our loved ones that "We Love You Just The Way You Are" ... because we just never know when we will be called home, too. And I have two birds, too, birds of a feather-flock together, right? Bless you Linda and thank you for sharing ... wings. Linda, I am a little behind in catching up with my beautiful BraveHeart Women friends, as I am in the throws of developing MY wings. I am just now hearing of your clipped wing saga, and my heart goes out to you for the pain and suffering part. I have been there, so I can relate and really feel your pain. However, the way you looked at it, the way you handled the situation and the way in which you have written about it, speaks so true of your beautiful BraveHeart essence. I have always felt a deep connection to you and your heart from the first day I met you. I wish you a very speedy recovery, which you will have due to your perfect attitude. Your Friend, Robin Buckley You are an encouragement and truly a Braveheart Women. Wow Linda… thanks for sharing… You are the epitome of a BraveHeart Woman!! Thanks also for reminding me how much I have changed in the last few years. I use to use experiences like that to let my ‘drama queen’ come out and have a field day. It’s funny how I use to relish that part of me. I see now it’s because I was addicted to drama. I thrived on it. Looking back I see how it cleverly kept me from becoming & being my real Self. It is so wonderful not to dramatically react to things anymore yet to instead lovingly respond in the moment knowing that All is well and good no matter what! I love how you allowed your Self to experience every moment (from when you hit the asphalt road to the ER to your hospital room) and feel every emotion that surfaced while remaining in Joy with your catching sense of humor. You know how to live your life Alive. Sending you boatloads of Love & there is Healing Light surrounding you now. FEEL GOOD love, Amy Live Alive Community Love&Freedom+Expression=LivingAlive Dearest Linda, I felt like I was there... In the Love... In the Joy... In the Laughter... In the EASE of everything that transpired... Linda, YOU are Amazing! And, YES... YOU are a BraveHeart Woman ~ Inspired In Action! I'm sending my Love & lots of Hugs... And, I'm praying for a speedy recovery, my dear Sister & Friend... From my Heart to Yours, Bell Rushing Gentle Warrior Interesting how some people can walk through things and 'make it look so easy'. You remind me of a gentleman (I wish I could remember his name), who I heard speak once. he was in a serious car accident and had the same spinal injury Christopher Reeves had. He had the same spirit of making the best of the situation, making everyone at ease and believing in the best out come. He married and had two children. I have seen you in the throws of it and smiles and love are always given. Thank you for all you do for all of us... I KNOW we have no idea the amount of work and support and love you give freely and willing any given day. Thank you! Next- how did you write this blog???? You are amazing! Godspeed in your recovery, know you are loved and will be missed while you recover. Christine www.passionparent.com Very Inspiring Linda... You make it sound like it was such a walk in the park.... Many would have perceived it as the 'straw that broke the camel's back'. But you, the BraveHeart Woman that you are, talk about the incidence with such ease & gratitude... I saw your picture with the black eye... How's your eye healing? Love you, Ellie Hi Linda, So sorry to hear about your dog/asphalt collision. That must have really hurt. For you to be so cheerful and make a positive difference to the hospital staff given all that you had to endure, totally describes the incredible person that you are. You are a very courageous BraveHeart woman. With love, Audie P.S. Give Sadie and Rascal a (one armed ) hug from me. I am sure they sense the pain that you are in. Hello Linda, Sorry to hear aboaut your unexpected trip to the ER. I'm so glad for you that it was a good experience. Even though I am a nurse, I have had a few trying times in the ER. I don't blame the nurses, but the hospitals sometimes look only at the dollar amount and not the best interest of the patient. When I was in the ER several years ago with chest pain, there were many problems. After I found out that my cardiac enzymes were okay, I checked myself out to my home. I don't advocate this to anyone, but under the circumstances it was the best thing for me. As a result, I did write a letter to the CEO of the hospital, explaining what could be done to help the patients in the ER. To my surprise, within a few months, the hospital began to transform the ER to a much better place for the patient. So I guess, it was a good thing I wrote him, otherwise, it might still be a horrible experience for others. Linda, Thank You for sharing this with us. Being on the other side of things (I work in emergency), we are often dealing with those that are so full oftheir own pain they cannot reach out to others. When one as special as you comes in it touches everyone in the department and helps to make their often difficult days much sweeter. Take care of yourself. I wish you quick healing! Lesley You are in my prayers Linda- Lots of Love- Alane (((HUGS))) Hello Linda, Sorry to hear you had to go through pain... that is never fun... Isn't it amazing how something negative can have a positive twist to it? I hope you are allowing your family to take extra special care of you. Be well and look forward to reading more posts from you soon, Lynette Manifesting Formula Linda~ How wonderful to hear that you were able to make a not so great experience into a positive and energetic one for the other people around you! Good for you!! Crystal Oh dear....that is one huge...AW NUTS!!!! Yah where was the flip camera?? When you said you were a Braveheart Woman to the nurse...I got chills and it made me weepy....you are so cool.....I am certain you brightened up there evening....too bad you had to have a freaky accident like that to do it......i hope you are not in too much pain and that Kent is taking good care of you.... Much Love Sweetie Pie, Debra Linda, those 'dawgs' -- they sure do 'dwag you down' -- to the ground, don't they. I know that's not funny. But all I can say is, just keep on laughing and enjoy any and all the help other people give you. It's kinda like being 'queen for a day(s)' -- in some small respects. Anyway, been there, done that . Sure had a lot of time to reflect, dream, and develop a patient calmness about now and future. When the body doesn't work, the mind and heart still does. We will miss you a lot. How can we help? Barbara Filla Passion Branding Community Well Linda, it looks like you had two parties in one week. We are going to have to put some restrictions on all of your fun. Take care and Seriously I hope you feel better. We will be lost without you. Deborah
