Linda...Dear Friend, Thank you for sharing your Mother's life through your eyes and those of the family and friends. Grounded, loving , caring women instill those qualities in those they surround. I am grateful for your BraveHeart friendship and know where the roots were started and will remain always. Our Mothers earthly bodies leave us, but their souls become a part of our being. Linda, What a beautiful story and description of your mother and her transition. She has to be touched by the words of such a lovely daughter. Your courage, grace, and lovely spirit is an inspiration like a breath of fresh air. Please accept my sympathy for your loss and know that your tears will be dried by God's embrace and love. She was very fortunate to have had such a beautiful daughter. I also know the loss of my mother who froze to death on the highway in a blizzard. You will have many memories to remember her love. My dear Friend.... Linda, You are so very blessed to have had your mom by your side all the way up to the ripe old age of 88! WOW what a gift. You are so very blessed that she lived almost that entire time in great health, joy and happiness. You are so very blessed that you had such a close mother-daughter bond and that you got to share and express your love to her often. You are so very blessed that you got to express to her everything that your heart and soul wanted to express on this earth before she passed. You are so very blessed to have been by her side holding her hand as she transitioned. You are so very blessed with many many beautiful memories of love, laughter, smiles, joy and happiness. If you got any of your hip-shaking abilities from your mom, then I know she was and is quite a dancer. May she fill the skies with her smile, her song and of course her DANCE! Dearest Linda, I am filled with the chills...the good ones....maybe it is your mother passing through me because I was thinking about her and connecting with the "cadillac lady"....I sometimes wonder about that....if that is how spirits say hello...I was also thinking about my Daddy-O.....Daddy Rabbit....he drives a caddy....always has....a certain kind of person drives a caddy....really drives a caddy....and my Dad is quite the dancer too. He was always throwing us girls over his head and flipping us around....sounds like your husband LOL!  I am glad you were able to be there. We are truly blessed aren't we! This journey we are on....separately and together allows us, encourages us, inspires us to "be there." We are more present and aware. I am grateful. Dear Linda, Thank you for sharing ... ... As I offer my heartfelt condolences, I appreciate that you and your loved ones have arrived at the realization that saying goodbye as our loved ones depart this life is soooo deserving of celebrating a life well-lived ... It is still a very poignant time in our lives as no matter how much we prepare ourselves the parting is difficult ... at least for me it was ... It took me at least a couple of years when each of my parents departed this life ... I had not arrived at the realization when my father passed ... He passed way too young at the age of 64 ... When my mother passed, I had arrived and the celebration of a life well-lived was very definitely observed ... I honor you and your loved ones as you honor your mother ... ... Take good care ... My Dear Friend What a beautiful tribute! There are many who say life delivers lemons....but when we look beneath the "sour" taste there is so much "flavor" to enjoy. Such is it with life and death. Although painful in the moment, the flavor of a fully lived life reaps so many rewards for all those whose life is touched by another. The love a daughter has for her mother, as they share so much through the years is a special friendship that remains forever in our hearts.
