2010 Day 23; Optimism/Hope/Courage

Posted Jan 24, 2010 12:03 AM
In the December 2009 Success Magazine I was reading the arcticle by John C Maxwell "Be a Dealer in Hope" . I was moved by the following quote he had from the Jonathon Sack's book "The Dignity of Difference" which states:
"One of the most important disctinctions I have learned in the course of reflection on Jewish history is the difference between optimism and hope. Optimism isthe belief that things will get better. Hope is the faith that, together we can make things better. Optimism is a passive virtue; hope an active one. It takes no courage to be an optimist, but it takes a great deal of courage to have hope.

Here is to having hope in all that you undertake, and courage to do the actions necessary to obtain your goals.

My Dear Becky,
John Maxwell, I read quite a bit from this gentleman as I like the way he thinks. I like the quote that he mentioned to inspire our BH Writer, Becky. Hope is You my friend, and thank you for that Powerful Reminder.
Love your BH Sister,
Darlene
Dearest Rebecca,

Thank you for sharing this with us today~

I have always been an optimist. I also have always been hopeful that things will get better.

I love this that you wrote, "Hope is the faith that, together we can make things better."

You are in my prayers, Keep the Faith~

Many Blessings with Love & Light,
Lisa Bull
