Open Mind/Happy Birthday

I walk into the open yet seemingly emptiness “room” of my mind. Inside it seems large – quite expansive, airy and open. Yet even inside this room there are many other doors which lead to other smaller rooms.

One is marked birthdays past, one is marked celebrations, one creative, there is a “possible opportunities", "destiny" and 'future".

There is another that says “Warning Do NOT OPEN”. I am curious, what could that be in this area that is so bad my mind won’t go there? Intuition gives me courage and strength to turn away from curiosity. For it knows that is not the path I now embark upon.

I am looking for my creativeness, my desire to lead a more fulfilling life. I look to my future, my opportunities. There is no sense in reliving the past, let it go, it was.

Now the room seems to be getting brighter, the lights have miraculously turned on. Who did that, how did that happen? Before me the room has taken on a new appearance. As if it was prepared for a large celebration. Balloons, ribbons, bows, streamers, confetti, and then a table – very large, full of gift boxes, waiting for me to open.

It was my “birth day”, the day I was borne and found myself, my opportunities, my gifts, my future, ME.

Sing “happy birthday to you” every day that you find is your new birthday.
