What an amazing interview ... AMAZING! ...

IF you have the chance today, PLEASE do yourself a favor and tune in to "Fareed Zakaria GPS" ... YOU will be amazed ... simply amazed! .... ...

He scored what he states is his second interview with Premier Wen Jiabao of China ... a WISE leader who understands that ultimately the PEOPLE RULE ... He is a pragmatist leading the largest nation on Earth ... hopefully, to a more democratic, freedom-loving future ...

CHANGE is never easy ... CHANGE comes slowly .... and only in its own time ... REAL, MEANINGFUL CHANGES are rooted in the wisdom of people who can think and process the multitude of lessons from history such that we do NOT repeat the errors of the past ... Premier Jiabao reads Adam Smith amongst others ... Amazing! ... ...

I promise you IF you will tune in and pay attention, you will be ENLIGHTENED ... You will begin to see the PROMISE of the future come to life ... ...

Globalization for many has seemed to be both a blessing and a curse ... I also channel flipped and STOPPED to listen a while to Glenn Beck and Stuart Varney and a British legislator and for a while the former US. Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton ... What I heard when I listened to these men was a "fear" ... A "fear" of the loss of US hegemony in the world ... and I CAN relate to that ... I DO understand the LOVE of country and yet I understand that GLOBALIZATION can't be turned back unless we wish to descend into a future of many, many wars ...

So, where ARE we? ... THINK about it PLEASE ... It IS a very important question and one which people ought to REALLY think about ... The future IS closer than we ALL think ... And, it IS the PEOPLE who will CHOOSE the course ahead ...

Do we descend .... or do we ascend? ... That IS a very REAL question and whether we consider it or not ... It WILL present itself for the world to DECIDE ... probably sooner than we THINK ... probably sooner than any of us deems POSSIBLE ...

I intend to be more than a mere observer ... I WILL try to help in my small way to change the way people THINK about the way we LIVE in this world ... the way we treat EACH other ... In the "battle" for the "hearts and minds" of the PEOPLE ... the "fight" started a VERY LONG TIME AGO ... and it is on the WISDOM of the many, many, many PEOPLE who have gone before us that the way ahead has been paved ... The WISDOM of the great thinkers of the world has set the stage for what we are about to bear witness ... I hope and pray that democracy and freedom-loving PEOPLE RISE UP to claim the future WE ALL DREAM about ... ...

WHAT PART WILL YOU PLAY? ... Do YOU intend to participate or observe? ... ...

PAY ATTENTION PLEASE ... IF "good" PEOPLE are to prevail ... it IS "good" PEOPLE who must RECOGNIZE the "battle" that IS being waged for the "hearts and minds" of the PEOPLE of the WORLD ...

Yes, this IS what I think ... We, in the great United States of America, fostered this future probably more than any other nation ... and yet, some amongst us "fear" this change ... Are YOU one of them? ... AM I? ... ... WE have shared sooo much with the world ... Our standard of living has been the envy of the world for a very long time ... and it IS our generosity which has enabled others to SEE what we SEE ... to DREAM what WE DREAM ... Will we be "victimized" by our own generosity? ... ...

Do we lose by sharing? ... IS it really a ZERO SUM GAME? ... ... I never believed it was ... just as I never believed one has to choose between the mind and the rest of one's body ... ... ...

We must think our way through the days ahead ... We must prepare ourselves for the future and understand that it will look nothing like the past hopefully ... WHY? Because in the past when people were confronted with change they "felt" threatened by ... the choice was war ... We can not afford that CHOICE ... But, make NO MISTAKE, there will be some who choose that MO ... and we MUST be prepared to disarm them ... The question IS HOW? ... ...

Something to think about this fine Sunday morning ... I encourage ALL my dear BHW Sisters to put on your thinking caps and ponder the future that will BE ... We are ALL players in this drama whether we wish to participate or merely observe ... The CHOICE is for EACH of us to make ...

My love and very best wishes to ALL of us as we journey forward ... UNafraid of what mankind's TRUE potential IS ... and knowing that God IS in control and perhaps ... just perhaps ... the TIME is NOW (with "now" being a relative term: ... ...) ... ...
