Is your backyard a Haven?

Looking out into my backyard and seeing a few birds
sipping water or picking on the ground for food is an enjoyable sight.

My backyard is not big,but I love to be out there with my dogs, while they run around chasing the little lizards.

Sometimes I just go out in the yard to do one thing and before I know,I am out there half a day.I am connecting with nature and it is the greatest feeling. For me it is a healing process. When I am out there I forget any challenge I might face. There's always something new going on.

Whether it is beautiful new bloom or a sickly plant, that's now recuperating and getting strong or my papaya tree starting to bring forth the beginning of small fruit.

Yesterday I received a very interesting request and I made a pledge to take action..I would like to share it with all of you because I believe that we can make a difference.

If each one of us would take the pledge to do at least one thing and pass it forward to friends and family we definitely will make a difference Besides you will enjoy your backyard much more.

These are simple pleasures that can lift up your spirit everyday, when you look out into your yard.
Check out the attachment.

Hello my beautiful BraveHeart Sister Bea
Thanks for the great post. We recently moved into a new house and it has the most incredible views. I love my yard and my views and just sitting in the swing outside enjoying all that is. I live in constant gratitude for it all.

A few weeks ago - I was sitting at the dining room table blogging on BraveHeart women - - it was about midnight - I heard a noise at the front door - - I was startled and a little concerned because I was home alone with the kids. I intently started staring at the door knob - wondering if someone was trying to break into my house - - no movement - - but I could still hear the noise and shuffling outside my front door - - I decided that there was someone on my porch and whatever they were doing was probably not good ... so... in all my infinite wisdom .... I rushed over to the door - rapidly flipped on the light and threw open the door - - all in one rapid motion...... I was shocked to find myself face to face with a SKUNK. He was about 2 foot away - - - and I looked at him with big brown eyes - - and he looked at me with big black eyes - - and just as quickly as I had opened the door - - I shut the door and flipped off the light - - - and boy oh boy was I ever grateful that he was too shocked to give off any of his powerful scent.

Gotta love nature!
Thanks Bea - - - I'll see you soon at RISE!
Love,
Dr. Sugar

Hi Bea,

I can just see your backyard now! ;)
I too enjoy the beauty of nature and my desk is right in front of a huge window that overlooks the woodlands behind our house.

I enjoy the deer as they run though the woods, see wild turkeys walking through and even saw a fox just last week!
It is so peaceful to enjoy the beauty of nature and connect with other living beings. Our birdfeeders are really active with various colorful birds....plus the hummingbirds are busy getting ready for their long journey of the winter.

Thanks for sharing your part of nature with us.
See you soon at RISE! :-x
