Calling all BraveHearts to learn how to do the '10 Minute RISE'. :-D

We all desire to go forward every day in every way and often set lofty goals and dreams for ourselves that can seem far beyond our reach. To continually move forward to manifest our dreams and goals, we can inspire ourselves by setting an intention to use 10 minutes at a time to do something simple and meaningful.

10 minutes is short enough and at the same time long enough; much can be accomplished. One way to plan for 10 minutes is to schedule it. Actually write it in your planner or simply make a note each day of your intention for a '10 Minute RISE' three or four times a day, or whatever you can manage.

Even if you work in someone else's office or place of employment, it is normal to take several 10 minute breaks away from the computer or whatever you are doing.

When you plan for a '10 Minute RISE' three times a day, that is a half hour of activity that moves you toward your dreams and goals. At the end of one week (at least 5 days), you have 2 1/2 hours to your credit. At the end of one month, you will have completed 10 hours toward your dreams and goals!!!

What can you accomplish in only 10 minutes? Use your creativity; what simple and meaningful things would help you move forward? The more we simplify and streamline our lives, the more ease we will have in moving forward.

Make your own personal '10 Minute RISE' list. It might go something like the following:

1. Decide a larger goal you wish to focus on as you set your intention for each of your '10 Minute RISE' sessions.

2. Organize something: your desk, your bills, your schedule, your 'To Do List', your files, your CD's and DVD's.

3. Clear the clutter: your drawers, the tops of tables, cabinets, refrigerator, chairs, a closet

4. Complete paperwork: bills, filing, newspapers, magazines

5. Computer work: delete e-mails and files not needed

6. Laundry: throw a load into the machine; fold and put away a load

7. Cut up some vegetables, fruit or cheese for a snack later.

8. Make that phone call you have put off.

9. Choose something to give away: something you own; your time; your money

10. Make lists: for groceries, new goals, persons you need to phone, how you will spend your next '10 Minute RISE'

I invite you to commit to at least one '10 Minute RISE' session today.
What will it be?
:) ;)

Becky, love your idea of movement during the 10 minutes - whether it's dancing or stretching or any other kind of exercise.

It certainly kept us going all day and all night at RISE!!! :-D

What a great post. You and Barb have shared some great insights. It is about taking action, even if it is only 10 minutes at a time. Rise up and take the steps, soon you will have accomplished more that you realized you could in those 10 minutes. One thing we can add is you can also do a little dancing or other excercise in those 10 minutes...it will lift your spirit and increase your awareness plus your energy!

Aloha Rijuta,
You are such a great resource. What wonderful practical tips to make our dreams become our reality through conscious action. You are a treasure. Blessings of peace, joy and love, Sheila
Hi Barb,

So appreciate your comments; especially "it was Confucius who stated, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." And, I would add ... the step after that ... and the one after that .."

So often our first steps are full of enthusiasm, determination and eagerness, only to pale as we cease to take inspired action. :(

Let us continue to inspire ourselves as we inspire others to take consistent action - action that is in total alignment with our purpose and passion. :)

Thank you Barb for your response! (sorry about the one that disappeared ~ ~ ~) :O
Gratitude,

OMGoodness, I had almost finished my lengthy response to this blog post when I erroneously hit one of the keys on my keyboard which caused the post to disappear ... ?:| ... Hmmmm ...

Anyhoo, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your insights! ... I suspect that this idea was inspired by BHW TV segments which are 10 minutes long and yet are sooooo impactful ... :) ...

I believe it was Confucius who stated, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step." And, I would add ... the step after that ... and the one after that ... ;) ...

I just completed a 5-day training conference and as we left, they told us IF we did not implement in 3 months, we would likely NOT implement ... period! So true! We ALL need to take that FIRST step ... and the one after that ... and the one after that ...

We are all procrastinators and rationalizers on some level about some things ... We ALL need to learn to "get off that dime!" And, RISE! ... ;) ... :^O ...

Aloha pume hana, Rijuta, andl all my BHW sistas!

Barb
