ist1_11822819-kids-holding-together-a-terrestrial-globe.jpgAlthough you may wish to see more peace in your outer world, you can take simple steps to create more peace in your personal world, both inner and outer.

We look around our outer world and find an economy that still causes heartaches to many, institutions that do not serve us in a fair way and a disaster such as the Gulf oil spill that unnerves even the bravest. When we realize that all of this is almost more than we can handle, what is the next best thing for us to concentrate on?

Ideally, we aspire to change our own circumstances to match what it is that we would like to see in the greater world around us. How do we do that? By feeling that we are part of the solution.

We do that one small step at a time, by bringing a sense of peace into each area of our own lives as best we can. For example, rather than concentrate on any lack in our own economy and financial situation, we can instead concentrate on what is working for us and be grateful for all that we do have.

For our disappointment in many of the institutions we count on daily, again let us use the same principle of appreciating what does work about them and letting go of the usual complaining that we can easily unleash.

The disaster in the Gulf is a big one. The most simple solution is to remember a few moments of loving prayer or meditation each day for mother earth and her children - plant, animal and human.

Of course, to bring peace to our immediate outer world, we must establish peace in our inner world, inside our mind and heart. For this, we can make a daily intention to set aside some silent time during the morning, during the day or in the evening to establish our own inner safe haven.

When you create peace in your personal world, you are contributing in a hugh way to create peace in the larger world around you. Please commit ~ :)

Prayers for peace in your personal world.

My Beautiful Sister Rijuta,

Such incredible Wisdom from such an amazing soul as yourself.

I am listening, remembering, an internalizing all these thoughts...and as we know, thoughts are things.
I am honored to learn from such a source of light as yourself.

I too look forward to seeing you at RISE!!!

Love your BH Sister,
Darlene
Lovely Lisa,

Wow, what a truly creative idea for the owner of the salon to collect hair to send to help 'clean up' the oil spill. :O Impressive.

It reminds me of my grandfather who told of saving the silver from gum wrappers and such to give to the manufacturers to use for metal during the war. Every effort, small or large, can be done with heart.

Thank you for your big beautiful heart, Lisa! :-x
See you at RISE ~~~

Rocken Rijuta,

I so agree with you and when something arises like the Oil Spill or anything in that manner . I choose to pray for the safety of those who are working to help the manner . The Owner of the salon I work at heard that they are making nets filled with hair to help absorb the Oil ... so we at the salon have been saving all cut hair and sending it to them.

I feel that there are many things I can not change in the world right now but I can sit down and look into myself and continue to create change within my self .

Thank you so much Rijuta !

See you at RISE...... I am looking forward to seeing you my Sister !

Thank you Gisele,

Yes, it is most satisfying to share with others ideas that have helped us with our own progress and practice.

For those who are suffering from hoarding, I do not have a specific meditation because it is such a complex and broad disturbance.

One of the best ways to change the inner terrain of a 'hoarder' is to concentrate/meditate on 'purity'. Using the breath may be the most simple method for the individual. After taking a shower, I suggest the following:

Inhale a long, gentle breath while inwardly repeating the word 'purity'. On the exhalation feel as if a gentle cleansing rain were washing away all that is not pure and clean. :)

I suggest beginning this practice for only 1 minute at a time. As the capacity of the hoarder increases, more time can be added.

Good to have a coach for this one ~

Thank you and best wishes in your work Gisele!

Beautifully said, Rijuta! I have a similar practice of letting go, and daily meditation. It is powerful, and the most satisfying thing about it is sharing it with others, as you are doing here:) Do you have any specific meditation for people suffering from hoarding OCD? http://www.womens-law-of-attraction-solutions.com/help-for-hoarders.html If so, please share.
