Mother Nature Continues to Create on Her Never-Ending Palette

7th snowstorm here in New York and Mother Nature continues to create on her never-ending palette.

This storm was particularly unique. I awoke at around 2am because the light outside my bedroom window was so extremely bright. Still in a half doze, I went to the window and looked out wondering who could be out in this storm.

I saw an incredible site: a totally complete 'WHITEOUT'!

The sky was white, everything was covered in white and the air itself was filled with white. I don't recall ever having seen anything like that before. It was so stunning that I went to look out the windows in all four directions - same thing!

This morning as I looked out into my back garden, I saw a very fat robin with a very orange-red chest sitting on a branch under the archway of the gate to the garden. By the time I got my camera he had moved (where do they stay during the storms?) so I took a photo of the birdbath gracefully holding a huge mound of snow that had molded itself to the birdbath.

Gratitude to Mother Earth for creating such breathtaking beauty on her never-ending palette!
