The suggestion usually goes, 'Stop and smell the roses'.

Last night after purchasing a small bunch of daffodils (buds completely closed), I placed them in a vase, and sat them on the table in my 'sacred space'.

This morning when I went into the room, to my delight the buds had totally opened and a pungent fragrance was in the air! Frankly I had never thought of daffodils as having any kind of fragrance.

This reminds me that we often find the beauty and fragrance of life in places where we don't usually look. As I go about my affairs today, I intend to look beyond the usual.

Already this morning in my back yard, which I look at on a daily basis, I looked more closely today and was surprised to see tiny little white snow flowers popping their heads up in a huge patch about the size of a square yard!

We can look for beauty and fragrance in people, in circumstances and in our own thoughts. Let us expand our awareness today to all that has a special beauty and a special fragrance!

Enjoy a beautiful and fragrant day!

Word of Wisdom, Deborah.
Thank you!

Thank you Barb for the beautiful pictures you paint with your words! I can see it and I can feel it!

It seems getting back to nature or even appreciating nature, without going 'there', is inspiration-help.

In the magic,

Your statement Rijuta...I intend to look beyond the usual....reminds me of how I try to look beyond the flesh of a person to see the true nature...in other words don't judge the book by its cover...or should I say don't judge.

Taking time to smell the flowers! How simple! How powerful! I see myself as a young girl of 12 completely lost in the beauty of an apple blossom tree! I see myself at another time and in my early years, standing in a cold-winter field near a crop of tall pine trees. The wind was blowing fiercly and I was captivated by the music it was making! To this day, I believe the trees were singing to me and I have loved trees ever since. Taking time to be present in the moment is really where the magic is. Thank you for your reminder to be here, now.
