The SECRET to releasing negativity from your thoughts!!!

Do you desire to be more positive???

Do you see positive people and wonder how on Earth they do that????

I would like to share a simple, yet HIGHLY EFFECTIVE exercise with you.

Once I implemented this routine into my life, I noticed immediate results!!

Begin a Gratitude Journal

The TWO rules of this journal are:
* Every day write 5 things you are grateful for
* You may not repeat anything for 30 days

For me I noticed, that instantly I was going through my day SEARCHING for things to write in that journal... because in the frame of mind I was coming from, this was going to be impossible to come up with this many things to be grateful for.....

It does not matter how big or how small these things are....

Some examples:
I am grateful for my daughters smile
I am grateful for a healthy body
I am grateful for the fragrant flowers growing in my yard
I am grateful that the doorman, held the door open for me

And almost instantly, I found that my mindset had shifted!! I was certainly not looking for or at the negativity any longer....

Jim Rohn says, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!!!!"

Have you ever noticed that if you go buy a new car, or desire a new car and set that intention.... you suddenly see that exact car ALL OVER TOWN??

This is no coincidence.... This is the LAW OF ATTRACTION in action!!! This is what you are focusing on!!!

Create your journal, change your life, and attract positive energy, thoughts, feelings, and people into your life~

What a great exercise. Although I feel I am grateful for many things in my life, I am going to do this exercise in my journal and see what my experience is.
One way I deal with negativity is to offer it to a higher power and replace it with a noble thought or affirmation. An example of this would be "I am anger at how you are speaking to me" I replace this with "How can I forgive my self and others more readily". This truly works for me and I would love to hear others experiences. Blessings, Sheila Radha

Oddly enough I just started my gratitude journal here on BHW this past week. I missed last night as I so tired from a long day but I felt bad that I missed it. And it made a difference on how I felt today too so I will make a real effort not to miss a day again.

I've been meaning to do a gratitude journal for years but always felt like I should hand write it. My hands don't write so good as they used to so I put off starting the journal. But when I saw that a blog spot was offered here it popped into my head that this was the perfect time to follow thru on this and not worry about who reads it or how much my hands will hurt trying to hand write it.

I can testify that it makes a huge difference on how you look at your life. Just thinking about what your grateful is okay but actually writing it down so you can read it the next day, next week, or next year, that is the key to having a gratitude journal change your life.

I love a gratitude journal. Very simple and very very effective. I have been recommending them for years! Focusing on the positive will definitely shift your mindset dramatically!
Excellent idea that you can't repeat anything for 30 days - - definitely prompts you to think a little more about all the blessings in life. I love that point!

I am starting this today...I keep putting it off but somehow it keeps coming in my face....Obviuously its a sign of what I should be doing.....I own THE SECRET and THE GRATITUDE BOOK another thing it says to do is write down what you are grateful for and then write down what you want in the future like a new car for example but put it in the present tense I Love my new car...so your mind starts manifesting what you really need to send out into the universe.....

Thanks for the great quote! Whenever I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, I remember I have a bed and imagine I've been transported from Darfur, or the Middle Ages, then everything looks miraculous and I could spend all my time writing!

Your right, Crystal, I have so many things to be grateful about. I have food on my table and shoes on my feet. Somehow the Lord gave me a way to be able to persue college even though I don't have the finances.
