Hi Darlene, Have to be honest..I didn't take long to write my first blog..Nor did I write or re-write it..haha What took me long was just DOING IT HAHA ..I would say to myself .. " Ok today I'll blog " then I would float around reading others blogs trying to get an idea for my own blog haha Didn't want it to be something stupid or silly .. I was self conscious at first..but then I decided.. " Stop OBSERVING everyone elses topics and just write about something that is part of who you are..or true to who you are etc" So thats what I did.. and I picked my frist topic to be about ANGELS .. Anyway.. once I got the first blog out ...and saw all the wonderful, supportive, inspirational and encouraging comments.. I was hooked haha.. I love it when so many participate and communicate. So you got the difficult part over with and since I see you had such a huge turn out of responses I have a feeling you will feel very at ease doing blog number 2 haha.. Congrats!!!!!! Dear Darlene, Thank you for sharing ... ... Congratulations on your FIRST blog post! ... ... There were sooo many insightful comments in your FIRST blog post ... and in Lisa's and Linda's comments ... ... I started blogging in 2002 after Michelle Kwan's heartbreaking Bronze Medal at Olympics 2002 ... For most that would have been an achievement to celebrate, but when one is expecting Gold and all of her fans were, too, then... it proves to be a heartbreak ... (I went in search of somewhere I could share my "heartbreak" and found the "Michelle Kwan Forum") ... So, when you expect to be "perfect," then anything - no matter how good it may be - will be a "challenge" or a "letdown" or a "heartbreak" ... OTOH, IF you just try to BE YOU, and try only to BE the BEST YOU YOU CAN BE, then blogging and everything else WILL come naturally ... ... I say this as someone who BELIEVES completely in EXCELLENCE, not "perfection" ... I have seen the DAMAGE that "perfection" can do ... IF only people truly understood what "perfection" and the drive toward it really means, I doubt they would strive for it ... I'll save the rest of my opining on the topic for another day ... Congratulations once again for putting on "your BIG girl" shorts ... ... I say "shorts" because I am striving to suggest that we are ALL equal, regardless of gender ... LOL! ... ...
