Posted Feb 6, 2009 01:41 PM
Okay my BraveHeart Global Sisters; I am in need of your assistance on my NEW YOU JOURNEY. Send me some of your favorite nutritional recipes and menus. I know you have some. My carrot sticks and slice cucumbers need an upgrade. If the recipes and menus are too long, just post me a comment so I can look for them in my e-mail at dejahealth@bellsouth.net

Thanks for your loving assistance. Looking forward to hearing from you. Have a fantastic weekend!

Thank you for all the recipes and nutritional tips. I am creating a daily journal to add these in and have already started on the soy shakes Ellie. To each and every one keep them coming and don't stop. I love your energy and your suggestions. I can't make this journey alone.

Deborah.
Hi Deborah,

One of my favorite super easy snacks is a version of a Deviled Egg.

Hard boil 6 eggs, cool, cut in half
Spoon out yokes and replace with a teaspoon of organic hummus (any flavor)
Sprinkle with paprika.

Bon appetite!

Soy protein shake for breakfast and one at around 5 o'clock with other things you're already eating. Salads, Grilled Salmon, etc.

Any-type of Soy protein shake will do.

Keep it up,

Ellie
Hey Deborah,

How about "woking or steaming" some of your favorite veggies with grilled chicken or shrimp over a little steamed rice... double veggies & a little rice...

And for dessert, what about melting some "guilt-free organic" chocolate as the dipping sauce for your favorite fruit... that's if YOU like chocolate???

I hope this helps, Sis...

Keep on keepin on!!! :)

Deborah,
I had incredible results with the "Fat Flush Diet". No only losing some weight, but in making healthy choices nutritionally for my body. My favorite meal was one with shrimp in a chicken broth, cayenne powder, shallots, and sugar snap peas. EASY to fix and something I would love at a restaurant!

The author talks about the need for fatty acids in your diet, something I really need and can mentally tell when I am getting low. She explains how food is processed and how some food/drinks work against you.

Not a diet... a way of life. I have been thinking about dusting the book off myself and getting back to balance in that area of my life! Thank you for bringing this to my attention again!

All the best!

Thank you Tammy. I got some ground turkey. I will try this tomorrow. Sounds like a winner. Today is salad day.

Keep'em coming ladies. Any chefs out there?

Deborah
Hi Deborah,
I worked as a diet counselor for Diet Center in the 1990's and then opened my own successful Diet & Fruit Center. It was such a blessing to see others learn to take control of their bad eating habits and build self esteem. Here is one of the menu's I used that was very successful; brown 1-2 pounds of ground turkey and cook until browned and drain then add Mrs. Dash, onions and green peppers cook them down and add as a topping for a green salad or some clients ate the stir fry with a baked potatoes and was satisfied and full. I also used turkey and spices to make a healthy and delicious meatloaf. My clients said their families loved the recipe and never knew it was ground turkey
Goodluck in your venture and feel free to contact me anytime you would like. I look forward to networking with you in the near future.
God Bless today & always,
