Forgiving-The Best Cleansing Program

Posted Feb 12, 2010 11:36 PM
As I observed the pure white snow falling in Georgia today, which is a rarity; I realized that a great cleansing of the soil was taking place. My thoughts immediately went to one of my evening affirmations from Ellie Drake's Easier Done Than Said Programs... I could hear Ellie calmly saying: The only way to keep the poison of resentment out of my blood is to forgive.

I forgive, not only the challenges and people that I intuitively know I should; but I also forgive myself at the same time. This act of self-forgiveness is fundamental to my happiness.

...and after the cleansing snow... :-x

What a wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing this Debra! Forgiveness is setting a prisoner free, then realizing the prisoner was ME!
Happy Valentine's Day Deborah,
I have not had the opportunity to meet you, but I had the great fortune to hear great things of you from my BH Sisters, Dr. Sugar and Yvonne L.
I wanted to thank you for this message because after I learned to Forgive, which is a process I became diligent about early last year, my entire world started to open up and free me. I believe it is what started my journey which lead me to the BraveHeart Global Community.
I am all about Forgiveness! It is one of my Purposes that was brought forth to me at RELEASE.
I enjoy your blogs. Keep up your fantastic thoughts for all of us to learn from.
Love your BH Sister,
Darlene

Dearest Deborah,

Hi sweetie....this is beautiful. Self forgiveness is my biggest challenge. I dont know whether it is all of my Catholic schooling or my childhood or what, but I hold onto mistakes I have made long after I have been forgiven by the other person. I find it so hard to let go. Ironically, I never took confession all that seriously back in the day. We used to say the same sins and same number of times every week. I dont feel there is a forgiving God for me....for other people, yes....but not me.....no. It seems strange since I grew up in a very religious home. Anyway....blah blah blah wah wah wah....(I'm in a weird mood today) I appreciate anything I can read or see or hear about forgiveness.

If I can forgive myself, it will deepen the level to which I forgive others. It's not just for me, but for those in my life and beyond me.

Happy Valentines Day my dear!!! Love:-x

Deborah,

I loved the video!!! Definitely inspiring and so true. Sometimes I think it is easier to forgive others then oneself. Maybe we are harder on ourselves.?

Thank you for sharing
