There Are Two Kinds of Inflation: Economic & Obesity

No need to have them both in operation. I have been wondering how I managed to fall into this category when I was on so many diets. After receiving this e-mail from The People's Chemist (http://www.thepeopleschemist.com/ )—I thought I would be kind enough to share it with you.

Friend,
My body was expanding with fat right before my wife's eyes. And she made it a point to tell me - as nice as she could, "You're getting round." This occurred during the busy times in my life when I was working as a drug chemist. I often ate low calorie sport foods and meal-replacement shakes thinking that I could stay slim and not live in the gym. I learned the hard way that "Eating and drinking low calorie products makes people fat (round)." This lesson inflated me to 30% body fat.

Low calorie foods are loaded with fat fertilizing sugar. They cause a sharp rise in the fat storing hormone insulin. A better choice would be grass fed beef, seeds, nuts or avocados. Despite having a higher calorie content they do not cause the insulin spike. Therefore, you are better suited to burn calories via thermogenesis - the conversion of fat to heat.

Today, I avoid things that taste sweet (I try to drink only dry wine) and eat more calories from real food. If it comes from a box or window, I don't eat it - regardless of how little calories it might have.

Low calorie food and soda is a scam. Those who adhere to it will get fat and eventually end up with diabetes.

Forward this to your friends,

I could identify with this because as a formal nurse that worked long hours, I drank many meal replacements, ate low calorie products, and avoided exercise at all costs. I always said pushing a medicine cart down the hallway was enough exercise for me. How wrong I was!

Well my friends, enjoy this tip for those who were not aware of this information, and to all—please share it with others. Until we meet again. :)
