LOVE - How the heart influences the body

Thank you Dr. Sugar! Yes, we were very Blessed! Thank you for reminding me of Beautiful Memories with my Dad. I really miss him... so much! I truly adore you, ~Amy Gosh AMY - what a great story - thanks so much for sharing. What a wonderful gift - 8 additional years with your dad and it sounds like very loving years - - you and your family were very blessed. Thanks for the questions - I absolutely agree with you and believe you are right on both counts - from purely a scientific perspective he likely changed due to the fact that he was given a second chance at life - a second chance to do the things he wished he had done - a second chance to say the things he wished he would have said - a second chance to live the way he would have wanted to live - so certainly that in and of itself would make for some major life shifts. Having said that, I believe from a spiritual perspective, that perhaps he truly was gifted with a more loving soul. With love, wellness and compassion Dr. Sugar Dr. Sugar… Thank you for this Amazing information! I have a question that I’ve often wondered about. My dad had a heart transplant when he was 56. He changed after that: he became more introspective about his relationships, more loving, much more thoughtful and definitely happier! (He was almost none of these things before) Now, he almost died while waiting for that heart and before going in for the surgery he didn’t believe, or certainly wasn’t sure, he’d make it through. So that experience alone could change someone the way I just described his change. Yet, if the heart is the center of our soul and we all have different hearts, right… then did the new heart bring along with it it’s own feeling nature? I believe it must have! In case your wondering… he passed on July 4th 2005 at age 64. It was a blessing to have him in our lives for another 8 years. The greatest gift for me was that I finally had a relationship with my dad that I never had before. Not the ideal one between a father/daughter but he paid more (& a different kind of) attention to me, seemed like he saw me in a new light, he certainly opened up and we became close in a beautiful way (for us). Because of this, I am more than grateful he received that new heart. So was it the near death experience or the new heart? Dr. Sugar I appreciate you! I appreciate your loving Spirit, your gentle nature and your wealth of knowledge that you continuously share with us With Love & Gratitude Amy Great Post Dr. Sugar. Love, Ellie
