Is Your Root Chakra Out of Whack?

Posted May 10, 2011 01:39 PM
Today's card focuses on the material needs we struggle with day to day:

Base Chakra - Choose only positive thoughts to describe your home, career, and finances, as your words determine your outcome.

It all comes back to words, emotions and vibrations doesn't it? The Law of Attraction is always at work in our lives...whether we believe it or not...our acceptance of its validity is immaterial. It's a universal law/principle and is immutable. Our Base Chakra, also called the Root Chakra, is our foundation. Located at the base of the spine, it governs our health, prosperity, security and grounds us to this physical plane. When the energy is out of whack, we feel lack...a disconnect... that kicks us into "survival mode". Our negative emotions regarding our health, finances...anything connected to our physical experience can throw this vital center out of balance....and when our words regarding our material needs are negative in nature, we are vibrating lack and therefore creating more lack.

It is imperative to spend more time telling the story of what you want....not to keep beating the drum of what you don't want. You can't bring what you want into your experience when you are not at peace with where you are....when the emotional charge around where you are continues to be less than hopeful. Bring yourself to a place of peace with where you are by seeing the gifts in what you've experienced. You may need to dig deep for those gifts but I promise you, they are there. When we can focus on the positive in any and all experiences, we can more easily move ourselves up the Emotional Scale into a place of peace....and that's where we are attractive to all we want to create in life.

My coach's challenge to you:

Sit in a quiet space and breathe deeply. Imagine a red light at the base of your spine. See it growing larger and brighter until you feel a sense of balance. Once you've achieved the balance, picture yourself being completely secure financially, perfectly healthy and relishing this physical experience...with all your material needs met in abundance. Feel the emotions....the gratitude for this glorious life...use as many of your senses as you can to make this visualization real for you. Bask in this feel good space. When you are done, journal your experience, including any inspiration you received....and above all else, enjoy the experience!

Rev e .... Well put dear heart! I mean really well put.... you got me jazzed up and I guess that was the point of the post on some level.

Our base chakra, that red portion of our life's rainbow of colors is absolutely vital, in fact as I compose this I have a beat up but comfie, long sleeved thermal top on(it's chilly on the Oregon coast today and it's May!? hmmm), and it happens to be red or a shade of red more blood red vs fire engine red.

I thoroughly INjoyed your post and how it is vibrationally 'right on'. You explained it so well to us that the more I read the more I got enthused and connected to it and really began feeling tingly all over.

It is so important that we focus upon the blessings we have in our lives vs harboring negative thoughts and putting our energies toward that which we do not have or do not want. Like you shared... it's about Universal Law, those unseen forces at work in all human lives beyond those human established laws we are asked to abide by on a daily basis.

The root chakra is also about feeling secure in life I believe and I can remember a time I disliked wearing either red or orange... of course some colors don't work well on us given our skin tones and hair and eye colors...

but still when we feel so strongly about or against certain colors we would be wise to examine those feelings a tad closer. I know now I feel fine wearing red, still working on the orange colored clothes, which I don't have much of.

But thanks to your post Elaine, I shall be working on finding some orange toned warm weather garments, just a few from my local thrift store, and work more with that color. Perhaps once I do, my creative juices will begin flowing and I'll begin creating that art I will donate to charities anonymously. I do have a spare bedroom closet full of art supplies just waiting.

Yellow will be the next color to work with, although I am much more comfortable with it than the orange tones. Even though I personally feel I look half dead in yellow toned clothes... I feel really good inside them... since yellow is about one's personal power, perhaps I've got some of that going on currently and will focus more on the orange color.

I am absolutely thankful you shared this post because it has me really feeling through the colors of the rainbow and beyond...

My closet is filled with shades of purples and fuschias, dark blues and blues and greens and blue greens... Well not filled as my closets are quite sparse by choice and when you wear awesome tie dyes you get to wear several colors all at the same time. But still I have many rich colors to choose from.

In fact, I just hung my rainbow tie dyed flannel sheet set outside to dry because there is a slight breeze out there and they will dry faster than had I hung them indoors. This set of sheets I had done by my tie dyer when I had my little retail gift shop on the coast. Each sheet has a spiral coming out of the center... the top sheet spiraling one direction the bottom sheet the other direction. Feels really good to sleep within them!

Don't use my dryer or my dishwasher anymore so hanging clothes to dry is just simly part of my life and I so INjoy the smell. I found this unique fabric softener from Seventh Generation.. it's a natural fabric softener specific to cold water washes as that's me. The fragrance is Blue Eucalyptus and Lavender, and is yummy as it fills the air in my home as the clothes dry. They always feel like they've come out of the dryer.

Yes it's a simple, quiet, and peaceful life. And before anyone jumps to the conclusion that I'm doing a 'hippy thing'... not in the least. I just love color, a simple life, a quiet life and appreciate that at this point a frugal lifestyle. I could list my blessings for there are many.

Sometimes when our lives are forced to change and evolve in a different direction(which mine did when my last relationship ended abruptly in mid '01), that forced change or evolution could be seen as an absolutely perfect and good thing. I know this has been so for me.

So, back to the base chakra and allowing one's Self to be OK with finding the good in life, feeling good about one's set of circumstances such as they may be, and feeling gratitude and appreciation... for we are all truly exactly where we are meant to be in any given time. The trick is to 'see it so' and then we stan in that place were we become the 'captain of our own ship', the creator of our life, as we take part in those Universal Laws.... the one of Attraction which you shared so well Elaine, is the place to start for certain and not skip by it too quickly.

Golly thanks Elaine for sharing the post... it got me charged up and ever so grateful for your presence within BHW's webHome!

Keep 'em coming
please Rev e
