5 Ways to Release Issues from Your Tissues!

Posted Feb 28, 2010 09:59 PM
One of my most common experiences during my childhood was observing
the constant 'not being on the same page' dynamic my parents
unconsciously co-created ....

One particular evening, I experienced what I 'used to' consider a
torturous experience....

Little Ellie (7 years old or so) is observing the dynamic yet again...
Then one of her parents (I don't remember which one) tells her to turn
on the light in the room...She walks over to the light switch and just
when she was about to turn it on, the other parent tells her to leave
it off.

In an effort to see which one will win, they continued the role-play...
Turn it on
No...Leave it off
No...Turn it on
No...Leave it off

Ellie's hand begins to shake not knowing which parent she should please....

Ok so when you think of it, it was not that horrifying! My brain said:
No big deal! Yet, my cells swallowed that experience and downloaded that
memory into my tissues.... In that moment, I had yet another issue
charged up and sent to cell for life!

How would that issue get out of my tissue?

Not on it's own! In fact not only did it not get out of my tissues, but it
started to attract more 'misery' cellmates! Then every time an experience
ever so slightly reminded me of that issue, the issue and all its cellmates
threw a riot and created unpleasant feelings that threw me inside the swamp
of struggle! boohoo! Just when I thought I was in control! :)

And that's just ONE issue! I've got many of them! LOL!

Oh you think it's funny? I bet you and I can qualify for the Guinness Book
of World Records
when it comes to the number of issues we hold in our tissues....
And it's not like we're holding them hostage either! It's the darned issues
holding us hostage!

Breathing...............

That's why years ago, I recognized that it was time I learn how to effectively
free these issues out of my tissues!

Not mentally, but viscerally! Mental letting go is very temporary... it's the
visceral process of letting go that's permanent! By the way, I can now talk
about the above experience that 'used to' torture me, and actually describing
them with humor..... No longer do I feel the choking feeling in my throat,
the constriction in my stomach, the victimized embodiment of my old self....

The issue is gone, it's charge released from my tissue, and it's conditioning
no longer eats away at my self esteem!

Here are 5 ways to begin your Release process:

1. Recognize you have Issues (self-transparency is vital)
2. Specify the Issues by writing them on a piece of paper (or a big piece
of construction paper from Office-Depot :) )
3. Trace back each issue to its source experience (do your best anyway)
4. Identify the current experiences of your life that activate these
issues and cause a riot within the cells of your body (it's a non-feel-good
experience)
5. Decide that it's time that you learn the tools that clear up the cellular
Junk! (Stick by that decision or the lack of self-commitment will become
yet another issue! Ouch...)

Learning to RELEASE effectively is a process that we were not taught....It takes
a different type of intestinal fortitude to squeeze the crap out of your cells!
(I'm cracking myself up writing this)

Here's to BraveHeart Women learning to effectively Release!

Cheers,
Ellie Drake

Hi Ellie, I'm very interested in this subject, and disappointed that you don't actually tell us HOW to do the actual releasing process, as your title suggests. Making a list is a good beginning for most things we want to accomplish, but it does nothing about releasing information in our tissues. That takes more effort. Are you going to continue this topic in another article?

Dear Ellie,
My basic issue would have been shut up and do as your are told. Regardless of how hard I tried I could not behave properly in front of my Mother's relatives.
I will be 78 this year and I speak from the truth of my own experience. After my husband came back from overseas we started a family and we created a version of what we had grown up in. I became so unhappy I stood at a dinette widow and cried out to God for Change regardless of what it cost. The answer to that prayer revealed why and how our family structures create an environment that makes us very susceptible to disease and feeling poorly about our self. It is the shadow side of idealism. Over the years I was encouraged to write my story, it was published in 2008 it is called the The Power To Change, The Shadow Side of Idealism.

This is one of the best sayings of recent times. And what a great visual! Who doesn't have issues in their tissues, the question is... how long do we need to hold on to these issues in our tissues? I can imagine releasing them all like balloons.

When all else had failed, my husband released a brain tumor through a dedicated Chi Gong practice, prayer, visualization and a poltis concocted of ginger and taro root. His dedication, along with a good positive attitude and a lot of love healed him. He has been cancer free for 8 years. Have hope, someone has to be that 1%.

Good Luck and Peace In Brave Hearts. :) Ellen
Good morning beautiful women. When I was a little girl the tissues were my issues and I now realize thanks to you that they still can be. Crying was not allowed and the common phrase was "If you want to cry I'll give you something to cry about." Slam! tears stopped and were replaced with food and numerous other addictions throughout my life. Food being the first. You hurt me, so I hurt me was the way I learned to manouver through my childhood and most of my womanhood. Working through those old tapes in my head has been a long, painful but rewarding process. Parental badminton sets the stage for doors to open on every relationship as well as with one's self. I'll hurt me so you don't have to has been much easier to get lost in than standing up for what is right even if you stand alone. i now realize thanks to you it is seperation anxiety. Separating who I am truly supposed to evolve into from tissue, issue identity. I can love them but leave them behind. I thank my god for all of you. Amen xo
This is a very big step for me and I don t no if this is going to help my inner peace, my soul, my sorrow, my loss, relieve me of all the past judgementalness that people have given me since I was a small child and I guess that's a good place to start. I am thinking of them issues as dirty plates that has scraps of food that have been left to harden and become moldy and they need to be scraped ,cleaned, dried and put away in a cupboard close the door and then no dirt or dust can collect on them, The issues oh yes the issues have created great obstacles for me. But this is my second day being here and my name to call me is 2babravewoman2 I hope one day,
Thank you so much for this. :O
Dear Ellie,

Thank you for this post it is so very important to all of us.

I have been to several personal growth workshops that have addressed these issues of blocked tissues.

Memory's good or bad are locked into our cellular memory.

Transformational Psychology is what you are helping all of us with.

In the Native teachings that i have learned about Trickster Energy, how we learn lessons from where we were blocked at one time. Now with the release of those blocked memories we glean lessons from what we know from the experience or experiences if there are many to release.

Using a large piece of paper as you instructed.
Starting from now.
Drawing a map backwards, to our earliest memory's.
We can find where we were blocked, and heal those wounds that were left in our minds, and our cellular memory.
Raven, Coyote, Rabbit, Mouse. Are just some of the symbolic animals that represent Trickster Energy, and their transformational lessons that we can learn from.

I appreciate your putting your own experiences out here for us to see that you are human and are dealing with your own issues big or small they are all important and need to be addressed.

I have been having trigger point work done twice a week for the last 2 months and the release of the pressure points have brought up and released good and bad memories. Myofascial Release Therapy is so very important. My Massage Therapist specializes in this work. I have benefited from it greatly. And recommend it to those with deep inner child wounding that they are healing from.

Thank you again for this important post. Acupuncture is beneficial for this release also.

You are Incredible, Inspirational and such a Beautiful Soul. I am Grateful for you being in my
life.

Many Blessings with Love & Light,
Lisa Bull

Hi Ellie,

Can I be a personal testimony to how RELEASING has literally changed my life? In doing so, I've dropped five (5) dress sizes because the past in my tissues are no longer serving me and just falling off my body. Thanks for encouraging all of us to release and this great post.

Much love,

Anita-Grace!
Thank you ever so musch for sharing this, and also for the five ways to release.

Welcome to our new BHW and for sharing their comment.

At the end of the day it's like empty your pocket and while doing it let go of the past ,later when finishing your refreshing shower or bath when the water goes down the drain let it all go with it, cause yesterday ended last night Do not rehearse it over and over, stay in the here and now this prescious moment

You'll save tissues, every comment was a joy to read.

Have a great and wonderful March 7th,I'll be thinking of all of you and missing you.

Love,

Georgiegal

Well.. I definitely have issues in my tissues..and those issues caused me a condition to have to deal with on a daily basis. Supposedly there is no cure of the condition other then medication which I am not fond of haha..Plus "I DO NOT BELIEVE there is no cure" because it didn't get there by itself so If I rid myself of what caused it....then I believe it will go away. Because I believe "ISSUES" cause our bodies to break down resulting in disease etc.. IN short..I began to practice yoga and meditation..and have seen many positive results and less symptoms of my condition.. My goal? to change the way I respond to issues..so they don't end up in my tissues..haha But I will say this.."I think its a daily practice and long process to change something that has been engrained in you all your life" But I'll get there..

Thanks for sharing this very real and true to life issue for many of us.

Angeliis
Thank you so much for the post on releasing the issues from the tissues. I can relate wholeheartedly to holding on to issues which only takes a toll on a persons spirit, body and soul. I am going to start working more seriously on the major issues in my life that is holding me back or allowing me to make the same mistakes time and again. Peace to all the Sisters.
Thanks Ellie your list is a great tool!

I'm an EFT Practitioner,
it is my job to teach people how to get that issue out of the body in a effective &( as Ellie says ) " visceral" way.

We all have theses issues hanging out in our bodies, propelling us to think & act in ways that are not true to who we really are inside.

EFT & MTT are self help tools that will help you to let go of issues in a real way.

You can begin learning EFT & MTT for free through my teaching center, VISIT HERE

You can also find video tutorials on the site.

What are the tools to clear up the cellular junk?
You are terrific, Ellie,
in your ability to lay out the release process with such clarity. Years ago i began to study this process and now use it in conjunction with body conversations to help women moderate the menopausal passage.

i am tickled by the recent science that shows that we are 20% more bacterial than we are cellular! What that tells me is that the human body is made of colonies of organisms all striving to maintain a healthy balance in support of our wonderful lives.

I can't be in L.A. for your gift, but will hold your post as a reminder to keep listening to the intelligence in my body.

Thank you,
Andrea
