Wednesday Wonders (a little late)

My plan is to keep to a daily post as practice... Wednesday, I wonder what happened to it? The day went quickly, and wonders happened all day long...

Well, the purpose for this posting is to give an outlet to all those who wonder. I wonder often out loud. I remember when I was very young, my folks has a coffee table book entitled, A Childhood of Wonder, as I remember it. That book was filled with photographs of children, and others with their faces full of curiosity about their world. A child blowing on a dandelion as it becomes seeds, a mature woman with a creased face staring lovingly into a child's eyes whom she is holding. Those images defined wonder for me as immensely positive.

So, wondering some things today... To take it from the first line of a popular song, I wonder why the sky is so blue... The world is full of things that beg questioning. Each Wednesday Wonders will be devoted to the Question Gatherers!

Do you have an "imponderable" question? The book When Do Fish Sleep? is 'an imponderables book' written by David Feldman who has authored a whole series of questions and answers that are curious and fun.

Most of the questions that I ponder have no clearcut answers, but in the process of thinking about them, certain thoughts become a platform for the answer to come to me. Today I wondered if, when Jesus said to turn the other cheek, he really meant look away from "What Is", in order to "Rewrite the Story" of reality to become more God-like [or good].

I also wondered why the bird, the mouse and the squirrel that passed on this winter chose our backyard as a passing through place...

I wondered how we are just as happy living with less as we are when we have more. Abundance is a feeling and I wonder if it's contagious?

How about you? What do you wonder about? This is not a place for answers, but if you wonder and ask questions enough, the answers will always come, sometimes in the most surprising ways.
